    Hello

I have found lately that when playing videos on Windows Media Player divx mode full screen audio is out of sync.  If the video is played in window mode, there is no problem.  I had no such problem in the past, but now for about 1 month or so, I have this problem.

I have fitted iq508a to vista 64-bit, with the latest drivers delivered HP installed (using the HP update utility)-does anyone else have this same problem too?

I can't believe! I solved the problem with this problem of video audio sync during playback in full screen!

While watching the Pineapple Express, I thought WTF I'll take another closer look at this, and while they were smashimg their cell phones so that they could not be found by triangulation, (don't ask - u just I have to watch - stoner movie )...

in any case, I looked under tools options in WMP.  I unchecked the option on the performance tab "use video smoothing"-the video as reloaded and bingo! everything in harmony!

BTW, I checked my another PC running Vista 32 bit and the option ' use video smoothing ' also exists and it is checked if this seems to be a problem with WMP works on Vista 64 bit or running desktop Touchsmart of WMP... In case I am much happier now...

I run Windows 8 on a HP Pavilion laptop. Lately, I get the following error message during playback of MP3 files on Windows Media Player "Windows Media Player has encountered a problem while playing the file. • Windows Media Player enabled at startup interferes with sound, video and other sources

Hi, this is a known issue since I've had this laptop second hand! But always thought that one of the USB flash drives was the cause (Sandisk Cruzer Micro U3), since the mouse cursor blinks like crazy until everything is fully charged and becomes stable. It is clear now Windows Media Player peut cause this conflict for two reasons. A single, "WMP" is pre-activated on startup? (as confirmed with the Task Manager, he just goes there and "sparkles" like crazy). And two, "WMP" wants to seize all media, he can find by default automatically; I "can I" accidentally put as such (during an update of Windows that you are prompted), not sure?

A purchased late 2009 "Pinnacle PCTV Pro HDTV USB Stick" product had never worked right? Cause the software "TVCenterPro" was unstable, and TV shows have been troubled and often froze. OEM is finally released with a great release of TVCtr Pro5x ("TVCenter6"), and it works much better! But I could only install it in trial mode until I found the CD product key.

I uninstalled and reinstalled TVC6; but no TV (or FM radio) channels can be found in the full activation mode? And better actually worked in "trial mode; which didn't make any sense? Pursuit of the investigation, that's when I discovered "WMP" behaviour above; and forced a complete process tree removal. I did the same thing to TVC6, which cound not 'see' peripheral integrated audio from the laptop in full mode? And on reloading the program, it worked! TVC6 can now detect the device audio and pick up channel and stations by their identifiers as he did in "test" mode There's more to refine what I should do to properly operate the TVCenter6. But I need to know why "WMP" havoc on audio, video and other sources, hardware and software!

The 'specifications' are Internet Explorer 9 (new), Vista Home Basic SP-2 and Windows Media Player 11.0.6002.18311. The embedded video is ATI Radeon Express and the audio Realtek High definition, the processor is Intel Pentium Dual Core & so on.

    * The system doesn't have a virus etc and is up to date. Has anyone met a similar behavior with Windows Media Player?

PS: I just start WMP(11x) again, and of course, the mouse cursor begins to blink like crazy immediately. The only solution is to make the highest (force the tree closed the process and prevent WMP launched with the use of the other audio video).

It turned out that the real problem was much worse than I thought! I had to reinstall sound, video and other device drivers; Windows Management Framework Core for Vista x 86 [(bundle 32 bits: Windows Powershell 2.0, Windows Remote Management 2.0 ("WinRM"), Background Intelligent Transfer Service 4.0 ("BITS"))], etc.. And preparation tool system update to find and fix registry I didn't know were there? (42 total, only 4 keys were fixed. The other 38 were removed one by one, after finding a way to change the access permissions; not even administrator has for Vista Home Basic; for files also). Addition of a few executables of line at the command prompt (indicated in respective Microsoft etc. support messages and articles online); and what you said that I had already done all troubleshooting (failed?). After working on it for two days, the system suddenly broken to normal; and works better than ever. Windows Media Player (11 x) is working great now and is no longer remains in memory when opening and closing several times; hardware audio and video is surprisingly better; even the works of volume mixer! And that weird State "crazy cursor" that caused the blue screen error if allowed to go on long enough are gone! (even after the insertion of misc USB flash and other devices). Windows updates found nothing to "change" other than the periodic updates. I also ran the command line to stop several languages of the poll"(tout ce qu'il s'appelle?), and"Windows features"appears much faster than the overall speed and performance." All that's left is to tweak "Windows features" for optimum performance; Therefore, the problem is solved!

Please note: I can't turn off the storage management removable and Remote Differential Compression etc to speed up Vista even more (not). TVCenter6 works fine but "hangs" in memory (at the end).

For these questions, please go to the related post via this link: optional features of Windows cannot be enabled or disabled, hidden Windows updates cannot be uninstalled.

Support: Please add a "Mark" button for the problems solved by the user (and when Microsoft does not provide the answer, as is the case with all other messages); so I can close the nets, I opened as 'resolved on mine'.

  • Windows Media Player 12 crashes after each track when ripping a CD, then crashes at the end of the disc.

I've recently updated to Windows Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Ultimate - it was clean install and most things work very well. One of the most common things that I do on my PC is rip CDs and Windows Media Player 12 seems much slower to do what Windows Media Player 11 on Vista. The big problems I have are:

1 after each track has reached 100%, WMP12 freezes, said the top of the window (not responding) and after about 30 seconds, it moves to the next track.

    2. This continues for each track, until it reaches the last track of the CD - when it reaches 100% on this one, it freezes again and still average forever (or at least until that my patience runs out!). Then I have to close WMP12 that triggers a dialog box saying "the program is unresponsive"-choose "Close the program" and closed WMP12. When I restart my album WMP12 was torn with success. Adding album art using the right click "paste Album Art" feature is just as slow compared to WMP11 on Vista.

Please note: I initially thought that these delays were because the destination music folder Rip is a drive network hard (although WMP11 was ok with that) so I changed the destination music Rip in a local folder - C:Users\Public\Music - and the fault still happening.

Does anyone - especially someone of Microsoft - can help with this. Using WMP12 was one of the things I was most excited by my Windows 7 upgrade and it's really disappointing.

    Thank you

    Brett

SYSTEM: HP Pavilion Elite running Windows 7 32 bit Ultimate edition, AMD Phenom 9500 2.20 GHz Quad-Core processor, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB of disk hard of the shipped. Media stored on a WD World Edition 2 TB of disk network accessible through Devolo dLAN 200 AVeasy Mbps home candles of Xbox 360 Elite and WDTV Live HD Media Player.

I suggest that you try to reset the media library. Note firstly reset the library will make you lose all play counts and ratings too. Then, follow these steps:

    -Restart the PC.
-Click Start, type services.msc in the search field and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists. Tim Baets

  • WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 11 HAS NO VIDEO BUT SOUND

I downloaded and paid for the codec suggested Microsoft. Updated my Nvidia video card and it installed firefox plugin for WMP.  I can't get a video image, but get the sound when you try to play a dvd or the downloaded video. Not sure what to try next? Should I just remove WMp 11 and redownload it? Suggetions?

    Hi CLB43,

Generally, this problem should be solved by installing the video codec. In my view, re - install the video codec should solve the problem.

Also, make sure the file format you are trying to play if it is supported by WMP11 or not.

Information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player

You can also try to reduce hardware acceleration:
    1. click on start in the lower left corner of Windows Vista.
    2. click on Control Panel, click appearance and personalization, click personalization, click display settings and then click Advanced settings.
    3. click on the Troubleshooting tab, and then click on change settings.

Note: The settings will be disabled if the graphics card driver does not support disabling hardware acceleration.

    4. move the hardware acceleration slider until it is one notch to the right of None. It is the basis of acceleration.
    5. click OK twice, and then close the window.

Let us know if it helps.

  • Windows media player will rip the first song on a disk and then crashes is tearing the 2nd song on the disc...

The use of the CPU usually falls to zero when this happens... it was working fine yesterday...

    Hello

What changes have been made to your computer before the problem?

I would like you to do the following.

    Step 1:

Open the Windows Media Player settings troubleshooting utility and check if this helps solve the problem.

    Step 2:

I also suggest you to reduce the speed of extraction of the parameters.

    Step 3:

If the above steps fails, then perform the clean boot procedure to check whether a third-party program installed on the computer is the origin of the problem. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of third party software.

Note: Follow step 7 to your computer as usual.
  • Windows Media Player and a 5.1 Surround sound

I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 660 and I use the speaker system, I had with my old computer - a set of very good quality Sony 5.1 Surround Sound speakers.

I tested the speakers under sound settings - all speakers are appearing in the work. I also played music using Nero media player and Media Player Classic - everything works fine.

However, whenever I try to play music in Windows Media Player - the only sound from two speakers?

I'm confused here - I know that the speakers work, as evidenced by the sound test and the fact that they work with other media players, then why they won't work with Windows Media Player. Have you tried a few "fix - its" Microsoft - nothing has worked so far.

I use Windows 7 (even on my old computer - incidentally where the media player worked well) and equipped with K-Lite codec pack.

Anyone has any ideas - I use Windows Media Player the most and have all my songs stored there, so it's going to be a real pain if I can't use it and it's my favorite player, but it's just annoying and frustrating.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Try this.

    -Go to the control panel
    -Find the icon of speakers
-On the devices tab of reading, find your set of speakers and click Properties
    -Click on the enhancements tab
    -Check the box "Speaker Fill".
    -Click OK.
  • Windows Media Player-audio tracks overlap during playback

Behavior of strage in WMP from the application of SP1 Win7

Since the Windows 7 (32 bit premium) with SP1 upgrade, Windows MediaPlayer exposes a stange problem.  With WMP set to auto-repeat during playback, I double click an MP3 file from Windows Explorer.  WMP is launched and the MP3 starts playing.  Seconds from the end of the track, it seems that the track starts again, but then only the first instance of the track is still playing.  It's looks like I'm the same way playing on another media player and from reading about the second, just before the first finishes (so the end of the path of departure of caterpillars are bunk with each other).  Funny is when the trial ends, playback will be stopped all together, WMP that outputs a brief explosion of noise, and then the track starts again from the beginning.  If the track repeats once again, it does not repeat this behavior.  He manages at the end and restart normally. Did not have this before SP1 was applied.  I have a Sony VAIO VGNFZ21S's fully patched.  Thought you would like to know...

Thanks for the tips.  Unfortunately, it did not apply to my laptop (no improvement is tab ' sounds / Speakers').

Inspired by your advice however, I started to turn on & off Audio enhancements directly in WMP.  It seems that the fade function is causing my problem.  More I put it, the more noticeable the overlap between the beginning and the end of the track.  Turn off Cross Fade, solved the problem.

As I said, this behavior has not happened before I applied the SP1, then maybe something related to WMP has been included with SP1 that revealed the problem.

Once again, thank you for the reply.

  • Windows Media Player 11 is blank and no sound during playback of videos .wmv

Its a recent Windows XP installation of origin as well as all updates (for example. SP2, SP3 etc) so straight to media player 11 with no previous versions.  Videos probably date from before the player.  Codec issue maybe?

XP did earlier versions of WMP installed & running, go to

    run, type: MPLAYER2

Try in WMP, go to tools, options, look for the "file types" tab, select all, maybe tweak

    others.
