Windows Media Player DO to song information from a CD, but iTunes doesn't?
When I insert a CD in my drive and try to RIP with Windows Media Player, I don't get the titles of the songs or artists. When I RIP with iTunes, I get all the info... What gives? I have Windows Vista Home Premium with all available patches.
I used to be able to load music Itunes then SYNC with WMP with the search for a specific library, but WMP sees NO new files in the directory of the music, and it does NOT add another WMP...
When I select the "get information on the internet" for the CD, he always get the bad songs for a new album.
What is going on.. When I used it a few months ago, it worked fine...
Any help would be appreciated...

Windows Media Player duplicate CD song titles in my library
I have an eMachine that manages my Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1. Windows Media Player is a 2009 version 12.0.7601.17514.
It's something that happens recently. I'll open my Windows Media Player to play a CD for each song, or more, is listed twice and played it so twice. I have about 200 CD which I lived and "Removed from library only" all duplicates a couple of times already. It takes several hours and proves to be unsuccessful. It will also double any Playlist I saved. I haven't added a CD or playlist in over a month. I watched the music in libraries and visited account I had my CD listed in 2 places and removed one of them. This has not solved the problem. I ran a complete virus and malware scan complete and find nothing wrong. I find nice WMP and use Lyrics Plugin functionality often. I don't know what to do at this point.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Media Player will burn a data CD for us but not an audio CD.
Windows Media Player will burn a data CD for us but not an audio CD. We have Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2. Tried another brand of CD, slower burning speed, etc., but still does not. And can not uninstall Windows Media Player and reinstall. Help!
Hi KathyDobrowolski,
1. were you able to burn an audio CD before?
2. what type of file you want to burn?
3. This only happens with a particular file type?
4. are you able to burn CDs with any other application?
5. you receive messages or error codes?
If the song file is protected by the rights of use, these rights may allow for playback of the song on the computer but prohibit burn them on a CD. If the Information button appears next to the song in the burn list, click the button to see more information on the issue.

Windows media player will show it's extraction and burning, but then the burned cd does not play? Used to work properly, then a few days ago decided not to make a playable copy.
Your setting got changed if you don't burn it as audio. This is the setting you need to change...
Click the dropdown arrow in the "burn" pane and select "audio disc" and you should be ok again. R
(You will need to start over with a fresh blank disc).

Why my windows media player stops the audio output from my headset in the middle of a song?
I listen to music through a Bluetooth wireless headset. However, in the middle of songs the audio stops. Windows media player is still playing and audio output continues for 10 to 30 seconds later.
also, it stops at the end of the songs and takes a few seconds with the new song to restart again.
Hello
Method 1.
Try using a different bluetooth or use bluetooth even on another computer and check.Method 2.
Play the sog directly on your computer and check the output.Method 3.
If the same bluetooth works fine on another computer try to update the drivers bluetooth on your computer and check.I hope this helps.

Windows Media Player find manually the info from the album when selected.
I'm looking to "find album info" by right-clicking on the album in Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7. After clicking on it, the dialog box appears and a small globe in the upper left corner turns for a few seconds, then stops and nothing happens. I waited a few hours to make sure. Stay right on the white screen of white. It worked fine with no new changes two days ago and now it is not. I checked to make sure that I work online and am. Retrieve additional information from the internet are checked and media files updated to retrieve information from the internet is selected too. I can connect and browse the stores online through WMP so I don't know that it needs to connect to the internet.
Nevermind, I found the answer to someone else. I had to disable Internet Access Manager. For some reason, that it will not allow WMP to connect to internet to download the info from the album.

Earlier when using "Advance Tag Editor" in Window Media Player 11, singer and other information earlier filled by me, names appeared automatically by typing just a letter of the word. For eaxample so I had previously filled Mohd. Rafi 'Artist Info' and if I needed to write again Mohd. Rafi for the song under this column, just by typing M, name and surname as Mohd. Rafi used underneath and just by clicking on it, it is used to get automatically filled in the column. Now, he can't like that. I write full name every time. Please guide me as to what I should do. According to me, a box has been "unmarked" by me in error as this prompt for more information, already filled, is no longer available.

How can I reset the Player Windows Media in Windows Vista Home Basic to use the songs on my external backup drive instead of (or in addition to) the songs on my desktop hard drive? Currently, the Media Player library indicates that the hard drive (C:\) is my only option of disks to use for sources of songs.
Basically, I want to have Media Player external drive for all the songs from research and build his library on this disc instead of on the C:\ drive. My problem is that the songs are hogging too much space on my hard drive, so I want to move to my external drive to backup instead, but Media Player will not access it. I saw an option in Media Player to add a song to a different drive to the library whenever I play a song of this player, but that would require me to play all the songs moved one at a time, which is not practical, and which would not solve my problem because Media Player could still be maintaining the library on my HDD to say.Any ideas?Thank you.Hello

Why Windows Media Player plays the song wrong when I click it in a playlist?
I did a huge selection automatically (with 145 songs) with five-star is Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7 on my Dell XPS L702X.
So, let's say that I want to hear "Everybody Hurts [edit]" r.e.m. I click on n, it starts WMP play "Slips through my fingers" by Agneta Fältskog! He plays another song which is 24 positions above! At first, it used only for touch me when I was sorting the songs in the playlist by Genre, Album, year, etc... But now, even with the contributing artist, he played another song! The only way for her to play the song I want is with some navigation arrow keys or when I clicked on the playlist and I'd get a unsorted list. With the unsorted list, I find the song. It's a difficult problem, but I have a temporary solution. But please try to find an answer!EDIT: now at random. Unsorted perspective will give me wrong songs and the artist's view contributing sort will give me good music! What a mix! Say that it is a "re - Mix"!Hello
