Windows Media Player does not include the CD Label/Insert manufacturer as it did before as I have re-installed Windows.

original title: WHERE CAN I FIND WINDOWS XP MEDIA CENTER EDITION 2005 CD LABEL MAKER DONWLOAD?

I HAVE A WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER INSTALLED ON MY COMPUTER, BUT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CD LABEL/INSERT MAKER THAT HAD MY ORIGINAL COMPUTER UNTIL I REPLACED MY HARD DRIVE. THE NEW WINDOWS THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN MY NEW HARD DRIVE DID NOT INCLUDE THE LABEL MAKER FEATURE.

Hi TerryodO'Donnell.

The manufacturer of your computer would have installed extra software on your computer to create CD labels.

So, you can use LightScribe system software to create CD labels.

  • Windows Media Player does not support the codec used to compress the file.

I can't do some of my videos to play it goes on to say that Windows media player does not support the codec used to compress the file. How can I fix?

    Hello

What is the file format of the video files you are trying to play in Windows Media Player?

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file.

You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    (a) the file type is supported by the drive, but the file was compressed by using a codec that is not supported by the player.

    (b) the file might have been encoded with a codec that is not supported by Windows Media Player. If this is the case, Windows Media Player cannot play the file.

Windows media player will play only the files and videos only if it supports this type of file.

Please see the bottom of the article that gives you information on the types of media files that supports Windows Media Player.

If the files are not supported by Windows media player, then you will need to use a few players from third party that supports this file format.

I just found out that Windows Media Player does not recognize the songs, I recently downloaded from Wal-Mart music download Site.  The songs can be seen in the music library in a folder called 'Downloads' and I can open each song and he will play when double-clicked.  The problem is that I can't create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the reading list, because the songs are not listed in the Media Library Player any hot it is sorted (artist, Album, Genre, etc.).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Problem solved!

Went to: start == > Control Panel == > troubleshooting == > view all == > and ran troubleshooting on the library and the settings of WMP.

Convenience store detected library corrupt and "in media files appear in the WMP library.  Then ran convenience store on WMP settings which reset OMP to default settings.  After that, everything worked as announced.

Microsoft windows media player does not retain the previous size. is irrtating so me gift of reorganize its size every time when I open it.plz help I want stable wmp version 11, version 12 is sucks.

    Hello, Simone

I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

If so, the location must be registered.

  • Windows Media Player does not recognize the device (iphone)

I'm trying to download music from Windows Media Player on my iphone. I can get the files in the synchronization section but the Media Player does not recognize my device or seem to have a way to connect. Can anyone help?

You will need to install iTunes. The iTunes Setup program adds drivers and services for the iPhone. That's what I do:

    1. Once iTunes is installed, it allows to import all the music in Windows Media Player.
    2. If you want to automatically download album art, you will need to register for an iTunes Store account. Otherwise, just copy the album art from Windows Media Player:
    a. at a command prompt, cd in each music folder.
    b. attrib s h AlbumArt * Large.jpg
    c. xcopy AlbumArt * %tmp% Large.jpg
    d. attrib + s + h AlbumArt * Large.jpg
e e.. now, for each album in iTunes, right click and choose 'Get Info'. Drag & drop the corresponding JPG of %tmp% in the field "Cover Art" and click OK.
    3. connect your iPhone. Select "Manually manage music" on the screen of the iPhone.
    4. click on the icon on the left side of iTunes music. Make sure that all the music that you want to synchronize has an audit. (This is the default).
5 Select and drag it to the icon of the iPhone.

  • Media Player does not recognize the CD drive.

My windows media player stopped to recognize the CD-RW/DVD drive installed in my laptop Dell Inspiron 8600. I checked the service manager, it says: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its information of configuration (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19). It's a samsung CDRW/DVD SN - 324 s is that the computer was shipped with the original drive?

    Hello

19 code means there is a driver conflict such as two devices attempt to use the same resources.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

    do it right.

Why my Windows media player can't play 3gp format some0ne?

    Hello

You will need a codec to play the file video .3gp. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use the codec to play and create digital media files.

    2. is the specific question on a CD?

    3. What are the types of audio file that do not play?

Method 1: As happens with another player more, it might be that particular CD is corrupt.

Method 2: Although most CD using the file system ISO 9660 CD Windows XP can read CD created by other operating systems may use filesystems not supported. The most obvious example is the Mac CD using the HFS file system.
