  I played the CD/DVD on my laptop (windows vista) with no problems.  I popped in a DVD and it plays very well.  When I jumped into a music CD, (the one I've played a dozen times) I "Error Message C00D1197."  When I went to my computer and clicked on the CD/DVD player - he said that he had NO CD/DVD read and spit my CD.  When I put my rear DVD - no problems.  Put in a CD, a CD, I get an error message. That's happened?   I have read many responses to this question but have not yet found a solution. SITUATION: I make a list of songs [MP3] and make sure that it is a burn list. I keep pressing "start burn." Screen then pop in to say, ' Windows Media Player cannot burn some files. To investigate the problem, click on the icon next to the selection to burn the files. "After some research, I found the error icons in a list in the left panel under" blank CD (: D) "." I found that there are 3 songs with errors, all MP3s unprotected as the rest of the files. Could someone tell me please how to fix these songs so I can burn the entire CD?

  If you expect WMP to transform files in a disc of music so I would convert it them before burning (there are converters free mp3 in WAV on the web).

  Not a complete solution, but if I were you I would give up WMP to burn it ALL up and we CDBurner XP as its much more flexible.

  If you remove a Codec, the easiest thing is to install one of the free Codec pack available on the net.
