Windows Media Player-no online stores

WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER 12-NOT FROM ONLINE STORES.

I upgraded my computer sony vaio laptop from vista to windows 7 custom install. When adding album art to ripped the CD I met problems of song titles, news artists crash wrongly. I also could not access online stores as when I tried no shops have been listed and the only thing that happened was that the word "categories" brings out momentarily flashes on the display. I tried every remedy I could find in the forums but nothing helped. What a convenience store race I got the corrupted library and Media Center incorrectly configured messages.

I have now done a second installation of windows 7 on my laptop and before adding any music to the Player library I ran troubleshooting and getting the same results-media player library is corrupted. I suppose that when MRI my CD again once I you will encounter the usual problems.

When you try to access the online stores I can find once again no shops listed and the only thing that happens is the categories of Word flashing momentarily on and off the screen.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME ACCESS ONLINE STORES. Any thoughts on why the Player library is corrupted after installation clean and nothing added to the library?

Thanks for any idea offered.

I have now run windows 7 disc to install again, this time inplace improve and find I can now access online stores.

The installation has been implementation of Office I received the following message: -.

MICROSOFT. NET FRAMEWORK

Setup has detected that the version of net framework 4 needs to be repaired. Do not restart your computer. After it he has repaired the following message is displayed: -.

Restart your computer to complete the installation. If you select restart later applications which depend on net framework can not work properly.

I don't know if this has any importance on the positive result. The only other difference is that when you open the media player I did not choose custom Express but checked and opted to select online stores provider later in the media library.

Why upgrade must be successful during the custom installation is not?

Kind regards.

  • Where it stores information in Windows Media Player Auto of note?

I got a new computer and copied all of the songs from the old computer to the new. However, the automatic rating information (blue stars) was not copied to the new computer. Where could I find this information? Please help, thanks!

    Hello Peter Skipper,.

Thank you for your response.  In the Windows Media Player library, the blue stars are automatic categorization and are controlled by non-Microsoft data providers and some online stores.  You can override an auto rating by manually choosing a new user of note (yellow star).

The blue stars may not be transferred, although by default, most of the items in the Windows Media Player library automatically receive a rating (Blue Star).

New tracks are self-assessment with 3 stars. When you play first a side auto track increases to 4 stars and the coast goes back only if the track is played throughout.

You can copy your users to your new PC, however.  You can check the link below which includes information on the copy the ratings of the user for your files to your new computer.

    1. where you can read online videos using Windows media player earlier?

    3. it happens with all the videos online?

    4. What is the type of internet connection you use?

It's the first time you try to play online videos if due to an internet connection slow or installed on the computer security software.

  • Unable to transfer songs purchased on the iTunes store to Windows Media Player library

    Windows Media Player

I bought songs from the itunes store and they were saved in my music folder. I want to create a CD but can't get the songs went to the Windows Media Player library or create playlists. Help, please. Thank you

    Hello everyonelovestotravel,

Windows Media Player does not support Itunes because the format is not compatible. The Itunes are .acc format and is not supported by Windows Media Player. If you want to burn the Itunes for Windows Media Player, I suggest that you convert the files to mp3 format, and then burn. You can convert files using some of the third-party conversion software. You can use your favorite search engine to search for the software.

When you try to listen to music on the net, I am having problems and receive an error code that reads C00D1198. I don't know what it means, and I would like to know how to avoid ever see that again. In addition, there were moments where I got Windows Media Player successfully, but after a while, the music would stop playing on its own.

    Hi Dazzlicious,

Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server that hosts the content you want to listen to. You may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    1. The name of the server that hosts the content is not valid. If you typed an address Uniform Resource Locator (URL) in the Open URL dialog box, verify that the file name is spelled correctly and that the path to the file is correct, and then try again. If you clicked a link on a Web page, the link isn't valid.
    2. The server is not available (for example, the server is busy or not online). Try again later.
    3. For Windows Media Player proxy server settings are not configured correctly. Verify that your proxy server settings are correct.
