Windows media player plugin for Opera on Windows Server 2008 R2

I am using a copy of windows Server 2008 R2 through Microsoft Dreamspark and often using Opera.

Today, I visited a site that needed Windows media player plugin to play music.

I downloaded a file named wmpfirefoxplugin.exe, then he ran.

An error window is out and saying that this file could not be installed on a server system.

How can I use Opera with windows media player plugin? Please, I beg you.

Thank you!

Hello

It seems that you downloaded plugins for Mozilla Firefox.

I suggest you try to download the same plugins for Microsoft Internet Explorer and check.

If you need help with Opera, try contacting Opera.

    Thank you.

I just found how to solve this problem on my computer.

When you try to download the file, at the bottom of the page download shows at all?
If so, you need to open another window and paste this address: chrome://extensions/
This brings you to your page of the extension for Google Chrome. You can also get there click on the menu options on the upper right area of your screen (bounded by three horizontal lines), selecting "Settings", then "Extensions".
After that you have two windows open, drag the file from download windows media plugin to a window in the other window "Extensions". The Extensions window should say "Drop to install. Then, drop the download folder, and download.
I hope it works for you!

  • Windows Media Player 12 for Windows 7 Firefox plugin is not available

Hello.  I ran myself ragged trying to read solutions to this problem in the forums without will and help.  I have a new computer, recalling the problems of plugin for Vista 32 bit on causing FF of the major problems with my video card, then burn out of memory... I really need to get this right for this new computer.

Trying to watch a video web live cam, FF requires the Windows Media Player plugin.  When I click to install it, it says that it cannot install, tells me to install directly by clicking on a link.  When I click on that link, it says that the plugin for Windows Media Player 11 and gave me the ability to choose amongst, I think it's for Vista 32 bit and 64 bit and Windows 98 32 and 64-bit systems.

First, Windows 7 has not been included.  I therefore searched to see if Windows 7 uses one of these older versions and seen posted tons of problems and tons of solutions which could not all be real fixes.

Can please tell me first, is "Windows Media Player version 11 of"plugin"a version number of a plugin, or this is the plugin for WMP Version 11?

Finally, please can you me there at - it a separate card that will work for Version 12 WPM... Since there are apparently so many serious problems reported on this all over the Internet and I have already destroyed a computer on this issue on the plugin for WMP Vista problem.

Would appreciate your professional opinion so that I can use my computer.  Thank you, Teresa Brown

Wow.  Incredible.  made with MS Windows.  I can't believe the audacity of the service the customer more.  This Windows computer will come back, time to start another OS still knows customer service requires the polite label.  Can you people read?

Yes we can.  But you don't seem to understand the point of this site.  Microsoft Answers is supported only for Windows and Microsoft products.  Mozilla Firefox is not a Microsoft Product and therefor won't get support for Microsoft.  It is a 3rd party software.

So even if it can run in Windows, it is not created, designed or supported by Microsoft.  Mozilla has their own support forums in which you are to visit and ask for help.

It is no different practice followed by anyone.  Go on an Apple forum and asking for Windows Help or go on a Linux-based forum and ask for help from Windows.  What do you think of that your answers will be?  They will be exactly the same.  They do not support the software that they do not.

So please note that advice were good and quite OK.  You ask for advice on Mozilla Firefox that we are not able to support.

  • Windows media player 11 for vista full dysfunction on cd burn?

the Windows media player 11 for vista 64 holiday won't let me burn a blank cd media file at 192 kilobits per second (highest quality with songs less) it starts to burn and then cancels the entire drive and ruins it, now you mind, at the lowest kilobytes / option dry it will burn the cd with songs more but at the lowest quality which means that the disc is not very good in any case please help! Joe

    Hello

You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
    correctly.

Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.

CD/DVDs have a tolerance + - and your can read/write on the edge outside these discs
tolerances. They may be delivered, but it is generally more economical to replace the disk.

    ===========================================

This troubleshooting could not help if there is alignment and/or wear issues however it
    a shot.

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.
