Windows Meddia Player-11, I am unable to play some CDs that I downloaded. Preeviously everything was fine.
Hello
You shouldn't have two main products installed on the same machine, much less running antivirus.
They interfere between them which effectively reduces your protection. Add the remnants of evil
products withdrawn, much less still installed pieces of those ongoing, can and cause strange problems. Please reduce down to a single antivirus only. Go to the website of each manufacturer of ALL you had on that
computer and get their REMOVAL tools and run.I'd keep Avira as NOD32 has been known to cause problems.
This might not help you problem however several antivirus programs could easily
a type of corruption that caused it.Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

Windows media player crashes when you start cd play
When I insert a CD in windows media player, screen freezes when cd starts playing and the sound is chopy.
Hi RonnieDean,
- Did you the latest changes on the computer?
- Are you experiencing a similar problem with a CD you are trying to play using Windows media player?
- You have security software installed on the computer?
Method 1
See the link below and run the fixit tool available, check if it helps.
Solve the problems of Windows Media Player video and other media or library
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_media_player_diagnostic/
Method 2
If the previous step fails, then it is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you configure the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Other shows, episodes of play very well. Cannot delete shows because it crashes before able to do anything, then it opens again. Have WIndows 7. It happened a few times in the last 6 months. Error message is that WMC has stopped working and will restart.
Thank you. I was able to send videos in the trash. I then restored the videos and they work fine.

I have problems with the Media Player. When I try to extract from a CD, it begins to tear, but after about 20%, it is up to the error, but no code error. Is it necessary to habve a network. I have one and am wondering if I need or is it why extraction will not work? I don't know where the network came, but if I need it how to remove it
Hi Nanabarb,
1. you have made no changes to the computer before the broadcast took place?
2. What is the format of the files you are trying to extract?
3. do you get an error message?

I am trying to sync my ipod with my windows media player and when I connect my ipod windows media play is not read. How can I sync my ipod with windows media player?
Hello
Your MP3 player should have 2 settings - MSC that should allow the player to be used as a
external drive and PSG that is the parameter to use to sync with WMP11. Remove the MP3
and restart the computer. Change the MP3 in MTP mode - it power off and plug it in.I hope this helps.

Windows Media Player opens when I type any key. This started 2 days ago and did the computer virtually unusable. The mouse is however immune to this phenomenon, so I can still use it.
No idea how to solve this problem?
Ideas:
- You have problems with programs
- Error messages
- Recent changes to your computer
- What you have already tried to solve the problem
Do a system restore. Choose at least 3 days ago when you did not have this problem as your restore point.
Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.
