Windows Media Player will not retrieve the correct album information

A new CD, I bought has a deluxe edition which is not in WMP (fai.music.metaservices.microsoft.com) information store album. It should really be an option to inform them of the missing albums, but it is not available now. In its place, however, is an option for editing the Info manually. We could implement a way (or I could say how) to inform them that there is a hole in their library?

Hello

Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it works.

was: open Windows Media player.

b: click organize, click Options, and then click the Privacy tab.

c : Select the check box Update music files by retrieving the news media from the Internet .

Now navigate to the album you ripped and click on find album info.

If the correct album does not appear in the search results, follow the instructions on the search page using different search criteria or to add the information of media manually.

Hello! Back to a system restore point previous fixed the problem and I could again play the files in Media Player, but during the night that Windows updates installed and the morning I could not play these .mp4 files once more. So I restored to a point earlier, changed my updates so that they are is more automatic and by installing each day at a time, I finally isolated the problem in Internet Explorer 10. If I install that, just Windows Media Player will not play these files.
I tried a manual update of Internet Explorer 10, turn off all the options of toolbars shit and everything, thinking that when it automatically installs those who may be included, but that has not helped. Had to go back to my previous IE10 restore point. So no matter what, Internet Explorer 10 kills my ability to play .mp4 on Windows Media Player files.
I don't have toolbars running on IE9 at all.
I know that's obvious answer is 'do not install Internet Explorer 10' or if I do, download another player for .mp4 files. But the fact is, it shouldn't happen, it is indicative of something being wrong, and I would like TO be able to install Internet Explorer 10 AND use Windows Media Player to play these files. If someone else has had this problem, or know a way to fix it?
    Here are my system specs:
    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
    Intel Core i5 - 3350P @ 3.10 GHz CPU

And all my programs are installed on this:

I tried myself after experiencing the same problem and error code. I uninstalled the KB2670838 update, and then my Windows Media Player finally worked again. I also found that IE 10 must be uninstalled as well. Installation of IE 10 also automatically installs the update of KB2670838 platform. After uninstalling KB2670838, IE 10 automatically uninstall with it, better you hide two updates so that they do not install again. From the link in the previous post, I learned that the platform update is having problems of conflict with the AMD drivers. Good luck to you and hope this helps.

  • my windows media player will not sync the audio for my mp3?

my windows media used to synchronize all audio of my mp3 player more I don't know what happens. the pc is reading being installed, but every time I try to sync the music my windows media player stops working.

    Hello RedFeather01,

Ø you get an error when you try to run synchronize your device with the media player?

Ø have you tried to format your Portable device and then try to synchronize?

Ø you have the latest version of the software or the driver installed on your computer to the MP3 player?

Try to copy the files of music from Windows Explorer. Most MP3 players will appear as a "disk" on your computer, and you can browse the files on them by simply opening.

I suggest that you format your Portable device, and then try to sync with Media Player. To format the laptop drive:

    1. right click on the Portable media player.

    2. Select the option.

    3. choose quick format and click ok.

  • Windows Media Player does not recognize the new downloaded songs

    I have a Pavilion a4310f Prod Nr: race AY014AA-ABA, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I just found out that Windows Media Player does not recognize the songs, I recently downloaded from Wal-Mart music download Site.  The songs can be seen in the music library in a folder called 'Downloads' and I can open each song and he will play when double-clicked.  The problem is that I can't create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the reading list, because the songs are not listed in the Media Library Player any hot it is sorted (artist, Album, Genre, etc.).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft windows media player does not retain the previous size. is irrtating so me gift of reorganize its size every time when I open it.plz help I want stable wmp version 11, version 12 is sucks.

    Hello, Simone

I'll assume you're on Windows 7. Windows Media Player 12 is not supported on Windows Vista or XP and as such, you will need to go back to Windows Media Player 11.

You can check the permissions in the registry to ensure that it is able to record information.

Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

Open the registry editor by clicking on start, type regedit.exe in the search box and press on enter, you may be prompted to continue.

In the registry editor, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, MediaPlayer, then Preferences.

It should be an element named LastLocation_26, right-click on it and select Rename, and rename it to old LastLocation_26.

Leave the open registry editor and open Media Player, then move it to your favorite place and close Media Player.

In the registry editor, press F5 on your keyboard and check if LastLocation_26 has been recreated.

If this is not the case, there is probably a permissions problem.

If so, the location must be registered.
