Windows Movie Maker for windows xp

Could you get it someone please tell me why I can't play my Dvd on dvd player. After having made my film, I can burn my movie a dvd OK and I can play on my computer but I can not play on my dvd player so I can watch on my TV to help with it altogether would be appricated

There could be several reasons for this, most likely both use a dvd type that is not compatible with your dvd player, as a + R and the player plays that - R.

Or, you burned a data dvd. DVD players need dvd-video disc.

To help others, can you tell us

The program that you used to burn the dvd, the program used to create the dvd if it is different. The disc type, the make and model of dvd player.

If you use explore to watch your DVDs, which files should? There should be two folders audio_ts and video_ts, in the video_ts folder, you should have a selection of vob, bup and ifo files.

    Hello

Movie Maker 2.6 is for Windows Vista users whose computer cannot run the Vista's Movie Maker version. However if you want to upgrade the Movie maker for Windows XP you can try to download Windows live essentials.

Programs include Windows Live Messenger, Mail, Writer, photo library, Family Safety, toolbar, and Movie Maker and Outlook Connector, Office Live Add-in and Microsoft Silverlight.

  • Windows Movie Maker for Vista crashes when the publication of film to 99% all 5 remaining seconds

I am running Vista and have tried to publish a movie of 2 hours on my pc using a number of different formats.  Still, it hangs at 99% with 5 seconds remaining.  I have 800 GB free on my hard drive, a quad core cpu and 8 GB of RAM.  Any help to do this would be greatly appreciated.  Movie Maker version is 6.0 (Build 6001:SP1).

    Thanks Matt.

I checked my Windows logs and found no errors.
Then, I took my video and remove all but 1 minute and tried to create a movie.  It worked.  Then I went back to the original big movie I tried to save and delete the last two seconds of him.  Who did the trick.  I have no idea how the end a few images to an existing sequence of wmv could spoil of Movie Maker, but the problem is now resolved.

Thank you for guiding me to look at the error logs.  He started me on the right track for the removal of the error.

    =========================================
I was wondering what version of Windows are you using? XP, Vista, 7

Sorry... but with the .mov files, the conversion is the only solution.

Here is a way to convert online so that you won't have to
    Download and install a software:

Try the following free online Converter:

    Media-Convert
    http://media-convert.com/

    Apple Quicktime conversion instructions

    (1) in the field "File"... click on "Browse".
button and navigate to the .mov file you
you want to convert. When you select the
file... the path will appear in the field "File".

    (2) the "Input format" field should automatically
show... Let it 'Apple Quicktime (.mov)'
    as it is...

    (3) "output size" has two windows...
does not display the field on the left, "no video".
    PRESET"... leave it as what...

    (4) in the next to move to the right window
You can choose the format you want
    convert... try:

    Windows Media Video (.wmv)

    (5) on the left, click on the blue * OK button.
(sometimes the site is busy... If the conversion fails... try again)

Now... wait as the file to be converted.
    (be patient)

Once the conversion is completed, you will see:

    File converted successfully!

Your file will appear right of a little green
... left click on the file name... save it as
... appears on the left, click on the "Save" button.
Choose a folder to save in (I always download)
on my desk)... on the left, click on the "Save" button.

When the file is downloaded, you should be able
to play with Windows Media Player and it should
    be compatible with Movie maker.

    That's all! Good luck.
