  THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED

• Multipoint server 2012 Licensing is a mess

  With my initial installation of MPS 2012 I was able to get IE in "Mode of Metro" (launched from the home page) to work.  I installed Chrome and fire fox and none of these web browsers worked either.

  I reformatted the drive and re-installed MPS 2012.  After that, I was able to browse the web using ie from the desktop and things were happy.  I then started having problems where users were not able to establish RDP sessions to the server.  I installed my licenses (license CARDS) and the problems are now worse.

  I am able to connect through RDP 1 work station.  Once connected via RDP, I am not able to browse the internet at all.  When I am connected through the console, I am not able to browse the internet at all.  The problem of 'no Internet' is also not allow me to check my licenses.  When I look at my licenses I see 0 installed.  I am not able to change the licensing from automatic to manual mode.  I am able to access the server via rdp from exactly 1 host.  When I look at Multipoint Manager it tells me that I have 10 installed licenses.

  I am not able to connect using RDP from any other machine.  I can ping hosts on the internet in the MPS area which tells me that the box is internet.  I'm not able to launch the

  Anyway, any help in obtaining the license understood would be appreciated.  I don't know if IE issues are related to licenses, but the question is odd jut.

  We have a PC HP of MulitSeat MS6200
  It runs Microsoft Windows MultiPoint Server 2011 (which seems to be a twisted version of Windows 7)
  It is implemented in a laboratory of computer science and students connect you using their account for shared room - IE multiple instances of the same user accounts are currently running on the PC at the same time.
  The first student to run Firefox can work with it without a problem.
  However, when another student try to start firefox they get the following message:
  Firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

  Cannot start Firefox using a profile that is already used by someone else.
  Each Firefox instance needs its own profile or you will get this error message.

• Question about Windows MultiPoint Server with VNC

  I work in a research laboratory and our scientists are running a large number of simulations with MATLAB image processing.  What we all buy a computer powerful user and set up so that, up to 3-4 users remote access to the computer at any time and perform simulations using shared resources, but without interfering with each and other sessions.  I wanted to just make sure that it was feasible and iron how to put in place.  I'm guessing that I install Windows MultiPoint Server on the computer, create 3 or 4 log on bodies or users with unique IPs, install MATLAB and a VNC client for each instance, and then users would be able to connect on every instance, as if they were independent computers? Finally, it is possible for Windows automatically allocate users remote instances not used - for example, if I try to connect to an instance, Windows Me automatically assigns to the next instance of free?

  Hello, my name is Lewis and I have some questions about windows Multipoint. I help with a service that is intended for children with autism and we begin with a small group to leave the children to meet new people and play games together for example Minecraft. I'll try to find a cheap solution we currently have 4 computers (one for each child) but where the thought it would be less expensive to use multi point since we just get a single computer.

• Multipoint Server Trial - no Cal?

  I'm looking for a definitive answer to the question: the Windows Multipoint Server 2012 come with a grace period for the CALs required for thin clients or do you have to buy some sort of cal to judge as well?

  We have two E03s Dell/Wyse we try for in/out time stations. This task could be done by microbox machines instead.

  I have studied MultiPoint Server documents, but have not found the answer: is it possible to set up workstations with 2 or 3 monitors each in MultiPoint Server 2011? For example I have computer with graphics HD6970 and HD4790 (more HD4290 on board) and to 'split' in several positions - a high performance graphic with 3 monitors and 2 connected to HD6970 or 3 other workstations for internet/treatment of text with each, a lcd panel connected to HD4790 and HD4290 cards. So I could build small desk with a powerful station :).

  In other words, using windows terminology guide, one might wonder it is able to have the teachers with more than one monitor computer, while students have jobs with a monitor?

  (Subsidiary question is: what Eyefinity, is working for MultiPoint - assuming that the station with more than a graphics card?) Can't find any information in the deployment also guide).

  In this sense, whereas the NX400 comes with Windows STORAGE Server 2012, which has an iSCSI Target Server (as a service) will allow only external 2 servers (active, active cluster) running Windows Server 2012 to use NAS as shared storage?   .

  Yes, if you use the iSCSI target option on your NX400, you could actually use your NX400 as a SAN and allow other 2 servers run a shared storage cluster.

  A few things to keep in mind:

  -When your NX400 must restart (for finishing or any other reason), you will need to first down both your servers in cluster

  -I recommend putting on 2 separate subnets and switches iSCSI traffic (or at least isolated VLAN on 2 separate physical switches). In other words; Avoid iSCSI traffic running on your local network for reasons of reliability and performance. I'd read some of the documentation of Equallogic iSCSI switch to see how you configure switches for iSCSI.
