Windows not start on Satellite C50 - B - 15 c

Hello everyone,

First of all, sorry for my English origins, the french does not help... But it won't translate with Google Trad

Well, I have a problem with my laptop Toshiba Satellite C50 - B - 15 c. Yesterday, I had to update Windows 8.1, after update, it restarts, but it never comes back. Had a black screen and mouse (can move it). After a few restarts, so I decided to restore before the last update. Backup done but always the same problem (black screen and mouse)

So I decided to re - install Windows 7, the installation is complete, restart the computer and what I get? Error screen of windows with a few choice you know certainly: "safe mode, start windows etc.," whatever i choose, it is not do anything just restart and come back to the same screen...

Does anyone have a solution?

For more information:

-I'm not a computer novice
-J' have HD format
-J' I try Boot CD (do not start) and USB Boot (give me this problem)
-I don't have Toshiba Recovery CD (I bought the laptop in a big industry in France)
-Maybe I'll try to install Linu, just to test the HD.

Have a niceday

Today, I tried to install Ubuntu 14.04 and it does not work.

I go to install Windows 7 on HD but on another computer and install works!
After inserting the HD on my laptop it does not work...

Looks like the problem is in the BIOS.

Someone had something?

  • Windows could not start on Satellite L510

    HI :)

I'm not very tech savvy, I've only had my laptop a month. And yesterday, when I turned it back on I got this message...

Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem: Insert your windows installation disc, and then restart your computer
If you do not have the disk, contact your manufacturer computer or system administration.

    file: \boot\bcd
    status: 0x000000f
Info: an error occurred trying to read the boot configuration

I have been all over these forums and the internet looking for a solution, but no luck. It's the weekend, so I can not communicate with the service line.
I would appreciate a process step by step what it is, that I need to download or reset. I do not have the windows installation disc, because it did not come with my laptop.

I really appreciate your help in advance ;)

    Hello

Well, the error message says everything to me. Insert the Windows disk * or * contact manufacturing (Toshiba). ;)

By the way: it would be interesting to know if you can boot into safe mode. Check it!
If so, you may start the HARD drive recovery. Therefore, select Repair my computer in the Advanced Start menu and follow the instructions on the screen.

Yes, with the laptop didn't come a disc, but you can create one!
Please read the operating manual always first.

Now it s too late to create such a floppy, but you can order directly into a new Toshiba:

  • Vodafone Huawei 3 G Dongle will not work on Satellite C50 and Win8

Recently bought this laptop running Windows 8.
No matter what I try, I can't do this USB 3 G Huawei Vodafone dongle to be recognized by this Toshiba laptop.

This dongle works in all our other laptops and laptops and tablets from other brands with Windows 7 or Windows 8 is certainly not something to do with the dongle the software, he moved, drivers or the operating system.

At a time where it is plugged into the port USB, he opens the window asking what we want to do, telling me that the port and USB controller works, but that's all that.

When you open the Vodafone software to connect to the 3G option Connect is grayed out and no device is indicated. In other words, it is not to recognize the modem for a reason any.

As he is OK anywhere else, it must be something to do with this Toshiba laptop.

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.
We have loaded other versions of the Vodafone software and it made no difference. It must be a hardware conflict problem.

It seems that the device does not recognize the USB dongle.
Did you test all USB ports?

As much as I know Satellite C50-A-xxx supports 1 USB 3.0 port and 2 USB 2.0 ports
    Check all three ports.

You can also delete all the USB controllers and hubs in Device Manager and restart the laptop. After restarting again the unit should automatically recognize the USB ports.
Also try to disable the sleep & Charge USB in the BIOS (if available).

  • Why not start 4090XCDT Satellite with DVD-R/W drive?

    Hello
I fear I know the answer, but confirmation would be very useful for me!
Bought a Satellite 4090XCDT opportunity where the former owner has replaced the original CD-ROM with a 2004 Quanta Storage SDW-042 DVD - RW.
Seems that it was not so smart I have thougth - computer laptop won't boot from CD (BIOS is set to CD-floppy-HDD, of course). So I can't install any system Windows on it. If I insert Windows 2000 boot disks, for example, it reads all the four of them and then said "no CD-ROM not found", probably because no DVD - RW driver is available on the Win2k installation media.

Is it possible the BIOS since the 1999 (?) Satellite won't be able to boot from the DVD player in 2004 even though the previous owner _had_ installed a Windows 98 that was able to read - but not boot - DVD player? Can I solve the problem to downgrade the drive from DVD - RW to a CD-ROM, the Teac DC-224th (which I believe was the original) or a similar one?

    TIA

Is it possible that the BIOS does not recognize the new CD/DVD drive because of the bad settgins of master/slave/c-salt.
You should know that not all CD/DVD players are compatible.

But it could also be a failure of CD/DVD drive and the BIOS does not therefore see the STRANGE news.

  • TPSMain.exe does not start on Satellite U400 - 14 p PSU44E running Win XP

    Hello

    I installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on my U400 PSU44E - 14 p.
I found all the drivers on the official website of Toshiba (thank you) but one in the origin of the problems: TPSMain.exe does not start when I start the computer.

Once I type my password and login, I hear a typical Windows error sound, but no message is displayed. I noticed that when you try to start the Toshiba Power Saver utility from the Control Panel, I got an error message telling me that I have enough privileges to run this utility...

    I am the administrator!

If you guys encountered the same problem and got a hint of trouble, feel free to post here. THX.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U400 and I installed Win XP too.
I have a user account administrator and Toshiba Power Saver works properly!
No problem don't like on your system!

However, in the Toshiba Power Saver Settings (installation options), you can find the option called limited allows the user to change the settings and allow different actions for each profile.

    Check that both are enabled!

If this doesn't help then reinstalling again this tool.

  • Recovery disk will not start on Satellite 1110

I try to use the recovery on a Satellite 1110 CD. I want to just install fresh Windows. The necessary files are supposed to be on the Toshiba recovery CD that accompanies it.

So I did what the brochure says, and booted up the laptop to the top with the correct CD in the drive, while pressing 'C '. The notebook ignored the CD ROM and loaded Windows as usual. I repeated three times, each time that the CD ROM whirs a bit but will not start and Windows loads as usual. I have replaced 'C' for F12, chose the CD ROM drive in the list and repeat the process several times. Yet once it wouldn't boot from the CD-ROM.

I looked at the content of the CD ROM A single MB 447. File of the GHS. The file icon is that generic type "Windows does not know what program this icon is intended to" deals.

Google believes it is a ghost file and must the ghost installed to run it. This bitch never came with Ghost.

Anyone here knows a remedy to this problem?

(NB - I tried clean Windows system restore option, but it just brings back me to September this year. Theres no option that was more early in life for portable computers)

I am in the United Kingdom, and is a UK machine if that makes a difference.

    Hello Micha

Is this your ODD works properly with the operating system?

I put really know what exactly is happening here, but please make sure that you start with recovery CD number 1/2 2/2. The installation of recovery, you can just start with the first recovery CD. Also try please set CD-ROM as firs boot device in the BIOS.

My laptop is Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5940 with Windows Vista Home Premium. The following message comes when I try to start it.

  • Windows 7 Installation on Satellite C50-A-1 possible?

Thank you for reading my topic.

    I bought a Toshiba Satellite C50-A-1 and I can't install Windows 7 on it.

I updated the BIOS V1.30 again after that, I have only the Secure Boot option to enable or disable

There is no option to switch to the CSM or inheritance, because I know that this MUST be done before I can install Windows 7.

Is it possible to install a Win7 on this laptop?

    Thank you

    Hello

I ve checked the download from Toshiba on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp page and I see your model of laptop is not supported for Win7, so I think that it is meaningless to install if the drivers, tools, and utilities are not available for download.

  • Can not start my Satellite Pro A10

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro A10. When he tries to start windows, it comes up with the "We apologize for the inconvenience, but windows did not start successfully" etc. I tried all the options for example

    Start:
    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt
    Last known good configuration
    etc.

None of the options works. All I get is a flow of information about drivers and it then hangs. The last driver in the list is:

    multi (0) disk (0) partition (1) \WINDOWS\System32\Drive rs\Mup.sys

    I can't clear the checkpoint.

Unfortunately, I can't find the disc that came with the laptop, so I'm well and truly stuck.

    Any suggestions?

    See you soon

    HI Leon,

It is quite normal that there is a list of drivers displayed when you try to boot into 'safe' mode However, if initialization fails, obviously there is a problem with your operating system and your only options are to try to fix the problem by using the recovery console (you will need to boot from a CD of original Microsoft installation), or you can restore the original Toshiba CD recovery full operating system.
A third possibility would be to start with a utility such as Norton Ghost or Acronis image backup/restore and restore a backup previously taken by an external device.

The simplest option is to restore from a backup that is already taken, but if you don't then you would be better restore from the recovery CD Toshiba you can get at any Toshiba authorized Service partner.

    Kind regards

  • Recovery does not start on Satellite P200D

I have a satellite P200D and I need him back due to a virus.

Now, I ordered the recovery media kit and when I want to start it it does not start. The manual said, put the DVD, restart the computer and press F12 when the massage "In Touch With tomorrow TOSHIBA" poster.

The message is not shown in the configuration and the recovery does not start.
When I press F12 at startup is also the recovery does'nt start.

    What I am doing wrong?

How can I get my laptop back?
    Any ideas?

    Hello

You must boot from the disc.
This means that you will need to insert the disc, have to turn on the device, choose ODD as boot device and this will start the recovery process.

    Try this!

  • Cloned Partition Windows not start (Winclone)

    Hello

I spent last night couple with this problem and just can't fix. I need Windows on my 2008 iMac, but I replaced the optical drive with an SSD, so I can't install it via the original DVD. Installation via the USB does not work either because it does not support the 2008 iMac. So, I used Winclone to clone the Windows Partition of my Macbook Pro and restored on my iMac. But it does not start. At boot on the Windows partition, I get the famous black screen with the blinking cursor.

I read that you can make this partition bootable by selecting "Allow Legacy bootable" of Winclone. I can't do that because Winclone always says that SIP should be disabled. I've disabled (State of csrutil in the Terminal says it is disabled), so I do not understand why Winclone won't do.

Does anyone knows how to solve this problem with Winclone? Or do I have to use another way to make it bootable?

    Thank you

    Tim

Have you run SysPrep on Windows of MBP installation before trying to restore? What is the year of the MBP? What version of OS X makes the installation Windows come and what version of Mac OS X is being restored to?

SIP requires that you turn it off before starting a restore Winclone.

  • Can not start my Satellite A10

Hello / I have problem whith my laptop... it's not started windows system / / I see only the toshiba logo...
Maybe someone knows how to load computer whith my recovery cd?

    Hi Sergei,

To boot from the recovery CD: -.

1 insert a CD into the CD-ROM drive

    2. turn on the laptop while pressing the CD key until the phone beeps.

    3. follow the on-screen instructions to restore your operating system.

As an alternative to the above, you can also press the PF12 key during the feeding sequence and this should allow you to choose the CD-ROM as boot device.

    Best wishes

My computer with Windows Vista, will not start.  It tells me that there is an error in my Windows application and allow me only so that it starts in repair mode.  In this mode, request a "another user name" and password... • Do not start by Satellite A200-1AB

I bought this laptop about 6 months ago.
I don't use it that much, came to use yesterday, would not start.
Thought the battery must be dead. Plugged the AC, nothing. No ac light.

I took the cable ca to my store of the local computer.
He did a test on this issue and he said that's fine.

Anyone has any ideas what this could be?
    Thanks for any help.

Try to remove the battery from the laptop and unplug the AC for about 20 min.
Then, connect the new and try turning on the laptop.

If this does not help to remove the battery and connect only the AC to laptop and try to start the laptop.
    That's all you can do.
If this is not always useful, so there no other way to contact the technicians in your country.

The authorized service partner must check the laptop.
Because the laptop is about 6 months, the guarantee is valid and everything should be done for free.

    Good luck

    Good bye
