  • Windows 7 says its not authentic when I received the key to microsoft?

I have looged on my computer today and it said my windows 7 was not authentic I reformat, then it works for a day then it immediately goes to the same thing happening?

    Hello. :)

This could be because Windows is not activated. To activate Windows, you must enter the RC product key provided to you. Then press on Start > Control Panel > system and Maintenance > system . Basically, there should be what is called Windows activation, showing you if Windows is activated and the product ID. If Windows is not activated, it must indicate "Windows will activate automatically in X days. Click here to activate now . "Click on the link and the problem should be solved.  :)

I hope this has helped. :) Evandela

I've never had a problem with it, less once the motherboard was a mistake and I had to take it to get fixed. Then today at random, I got a message telling me that my windows 7 is not genuine? I've had this computer for years and year and honestly lost all the paperwork and others... but I remember where I've bought? that :(help

A copy of Acer OEM of Windows 7 Ultimate has been installed on a HP computer. A copy of Acer OEM of Windows 7 is limited by the Microsoft license for installation on an Acer computer. The installation is a counterfeit.

You must buy a new copy of Windows or return to the copy of Windows installed when the computer was purchased new.

  • Unable to reinstall my XP Pro original cd, windows says its not legitimate.

Due to a bad virus, I had to reinstall my Windows XP Pro and now I can't activated because it says that its not legitimate.  I've had this since XP came out and had an XP update cd that has been stollen from me but I still have the original xp cd.  Support is not available for this moment and I don't want to spend the money to upgrade to 7 or buy a new computer.  My husband uses it just to check his sometimes (rarely) to yahoo mail and research.  It has not even service pack 1 on it and I can not download because it says that it is not authentic, and I know very well that it is but I can't prove it because the recipes are long gone.  Someone at - it suggestions?  Please? It is not just that they make it to where you can buy new softwear or a new computer.  It still works very well.  Thank you, everyone. I have another pc I use and also a laptop.  It's my husband and he only of e-mail and will be submitted to a Web site when someone sends something to look at.

    • The sticker on the machine said, "Windows XP Professional" on this subject?
    • The stamped CD label says: "Windows XP Professional" on this subject?

Media Center was an OEM product for a long time and was * less * has in many ways professionally.

Please quote the exact message (if any) you get when trying to run the downloaded SP2 or SP3 package - but they are in * this * order:

    1. Download Windows XP SP2, save to your desktop, run it and install manually.
    2. Download Windows XP SP3, save to your desktop, run it and install manually.

Windows vista laptop, but the activation code on the bottom is for windows xp pro, what I can do

You have an Acer laptop, Packard Bell Windows Vista computer running?

Packard Bell OEM Windows can only be used on machines from Packard Bell.

If the label says XP, then the machine was initially delivered with XP,

and the one who sold you the machine will rip you off with an illegal copy of Vista.

If you can, get your money back.

If not, you will have either to reinstall XP, or get a legitimate copy of something more recent.

You buy a genuine Windows 7 license. The copy of Windows 7 Professional, you have installed is an OEM SLP license that should only be preloaded with a new PC. You seem to have installed a copy of Windows 7 Professional that uses an activation exploit that bypasses the product activation.

We know that it is because the BIOS date:

    20060331000000.000000 + 000

Windows 7 was released in 2009, the date of your BIOS says 2006, which probably means that your system is provided with Windows Vista or Windows XP.

In addition, it is a Windows 7 well known professional license which has been used all over the web:

    Windows product key: *-* - M3DJT - 4J3WC-733WD

Do a search on the web.

Thus, you must either charge your version of Windows that came on your computer (Vista or XP) or consider purchasing a license of Windows 7 genuine.

  • Windows 7 now says its not authentic?

Hi, I bought a copy of windows 7 and it was working fine, until I reset my PC bios. When I started again windows asked me my product key and once said that I was using a non-genuine copy of windows. The screen goes black and there is a notice at the bottom of the page office. How can I fix it? He accepted my key product very well when it is activated first, but it of all of a sudden and now does not accept the key, claiming his Scythe.

A solution would save a lot of concern, time and money.

    Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply, I tried activating just a few times back in the case and it worked after e few will.

Thanks for the help anyway :)
  • 2 years without problems now windows says its not valid

I hope that someone will be able to answer this one.  I bought my dell computer with windows vista on it in June of ' 07.  About 3 days ago he did an automatic update of windows and now it says that is not validated.  It's never happened before.  Now I can't go in the control panel to change anything, the window will not just open.  It is as I have more administrative rights on my computer when I have the only account on it.  Tried to do validation on www.microsoft.com/genuine .  Installed the files which it said you and it will still not validated.  If no one can help me with this it would be great.
    Thank you

  • Try using the Vista upgrade disc supplied with the system displays error Windows version is not authentic

original title: with Acer Aspire Vista Help
Well, here's the story, I bought an Acer aspire T180 a few years back from Best Buy with Windows Vista installed. The only drive I received was a Vista Upgrade disc. Fast forward a few months computer slows down, etc so I thought I'd see any control and maybe cleaning the system some. Put my disk to upgrade looking for the way to do it. Make the mistake of installing the upgrade. now I have the upgrade on my computer and it always tells me that I have a version of windows that is not authentic. I tried to use my COA on upgrade drive, does not recognize and COST on the case of my Aspire, once again with the same result. I have my old version under windows.old, but can't seem to install it. I would just go back to my Vista OEM install. I have access to another computer, but it is an Apple and prefer if I didn't use this option unless it makes it easier. I guess what I'm asking, it's just to get back to my legal version on this computer, would like to keep files, but if can't, I would like to do a clean reinstall. Mine is out of warranty, so no help from Best Buy or Acer without paying their

    You are welcome.

  • Vista says THIS COPY OF WINDOWS is IS NOT AUTHENTIC

I bought windows vista Ultimate edition on December 17, 2007, it was a download through bit locker.  I saved the e-mail of the conformation of the purchase.  I am in the army and deployed to Iraq, when I received an email saying that my Bit Locker account would be deleted in August 2009.  Well, the problem is I don't have the ability to do back ups of my purchases.  I recently put the windows Vista ultimate on my new computer and continue to receive my Windows error messages are not authentic. Please y at - it a way to solve this problem.

    Hi Grey203,

You can check your email to see if the key is there.

If you don't have the key, unfortunately there is nothing we can do.

If you are still in service in the army, then you can check if there is a program of release for consumption of your branch.

    Hope this information is useful.
