Windows script error

Windows displays this error message at startup!

Any solution?

Hello

Google recently and mainly waste information about this file, so if you can't find the error is causing some performance issues with your computer it's probably a left over Malware boot entry that was removed from your security programs.

Download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:

@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

If the problem persists after scanning, take these startup entries:

  • 800A 0400 Windows Script error

Well, this error appeared whenever I start my pc since 2 days ago:

    Windows Script Host

    Script:

    C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\hl.vbs

    Line: 1

    Char: 1

    Error: wait for the statement

    Code: 800A 0400

    Source: Microsoft VBScript compilation error

I've had no apparent problems with the operating system (windows 7 Ultimate) since the error appeared. No glitches, no blue screens, absolutely nothing. I tried to find the error in reliability history yet, it does not appear.

    And the stamp-date is 09 15, 2016.

Although I did not change it, I didn't even know that this file exists. The only thing I remember doing is updating Malwarebytes to scan my pc, but I really doubt that caused.

You can delete this file safely. It is not a .vbs file and it does not have something useful. Maybe Malwarebytes got off the rails and has placed there.

  • couldn't update for windows XP / IE Script errors

My OS is XP Professional 2003 and there has never been an automatic priority update Windows do not install so far. The update is KB981793. I looked and it is essentially an update of time thingy for the computer, however, since the first failure to load it keeps loading in my bar, next to my clock and tells me that the updates are ready for my computer and it is constantly the same one that fails. So no matter how many times I try to install it, 5 min later, he's back and I cannot make install or get out. My computer has all the current updates and SP3 is installed.
My second problem now, I hope that when you know what you are doing, is a simple explanation and fix. I'm getting now constantly an "IE Script error" on virtually every Web page I'm opening.  A few pages that I must accept the run script 2 to 10 times button to clear all the Script error pop up that took place on this page. I do not understand what a script error is actually or where it is produced or, more importantly, how messed up he tells me my computer or a program is. 6 months ago I maybe got 1 or 2 errors per week, in the last days 4-6, it is multiplied by experience of script. The current pop-up reads "an error has occurred in the script on this page." Then he asks "do you want to continue running the script on this page? Yes or no, and of course you say yes, so you can continue then within 5-10 seconds later, a small pop up in the corner said "IE has encountered a problem and needs to close", then he said "this tab has been recovered. A problem with this webpage caused IE to close and reopen the tab. "That is usually held twice in a row. Then you're almost through with Internet Explorer running and you will need to re launch.  Can you give me pls advise on what I should do. TYVM

  • Windows XP script error

Windows XP script error: when you try to update Adobe Acrobat, I can download the update, but when I try to install it, I get a message: "an error has occurred in the script on this page."  What is a script?  How should I do?

    Hi Tony,.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community and thanks for posting the question.

According to the description, it seems that you are facing a problem during the installation of Adobe Acrobat on your Windows XP operating system.

It would be great if you could answer these questions to help you further.

    1. what version of Internet Explorer is installed on your computer?

2 is the issue limited only by updating Adobe Acrobat?

Script error messages are displayed by Internet Explorer when there is a problem with the JavaScript or VBScript code on the Web site you are looking at. Sometimes a script error can be caused by an error during the download of a Web page, but more often it is an error in the Web page itself.

I suggest you to download and run offline installers

    Adobe Reader: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

    Flash Player: http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_header

  • cannot print the document from Windows Mail, get a script error

When I try to print an electronic document of Windows Mail, I get the following error message:

-An error has occurred in the script on this page

    -Line: 2115

    -Char: 1

-Error: unexpected call to method or property access

    -Code: 0

    -url://ieframe.dll/preview.js

    Hello

    1. are you able to print other documents?

2 have had any changes made to your computer before this problem?

Try the reinstatement of OLE controls to correct the above error.

Method 1: register the OLE control
    To do:
    1. click Start and type regsvr32 ole32.dll in the search field.
    2. press enter.

Check if this helps you to print from Windows Live Mail. This usually solves the problem. If you are still having the same problem, follow the remaining steps.

Method 2: disable the script debugger

    1. in the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    2. on the Advanced tab , click on to clear display of each box script error notification, and then click OK.

Method 3: Verify that Active Scripting, ActiveX, and Java are not blocked by Internet Explorer

Active scripting, ActiveX, and Java are all involved in shaping the way information displays on a Web page. If they are blocked on your computer, it can disrupt the display of the Web page. Reset the Internet Explorer security settings to ensure that they are not blocked. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. start Internet Explorer.
    2. on the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.
    3. in the Internet Options dialog box, click the Security tab.
    4. click on default.
    5. click on OK.

Note: ActiveX controls and Java programs are disabled in the high security level in Internet Explorer.

Try to open a Web page where you previously received a script error. If you do not receive the error, the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, go to method 4.

Method 4: remove all temporary files related to Internet

    1. start Internet Explorer.
    2. in the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    3. click on the general tab.
    4. under browsing history, click deleteand when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    5. in the dialog box delete browsing history , under Temporary Internet files, click delete filesand when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    6. under Cookies, click delete Cookies, and when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    7. under history, click delete history, and when you are prompted, click Yes to confirm.
    8. click on closeand then click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box.

If all goes well, you should be able to print now.

Windows Mail uses the Internet Explorer print engine to print.  You can print from Internet Explorer?  It is possible that your antivirus software might be the cause.  You can try to turn off and then restart and see if it will print.  Otherwise, you will need to provide more detailed information depending on your version of Windows, what e-mail program, you are using and what version of Internet Explorer you are using.
