It seems that this is related to the advertising software, then try the following.

Download AdwCleaner from the following link and save it to your folder downloads - download option should appear within 5 seconds.

Once downloaded, close all programs/browsers open them, open your download folder and double-click the application to run it (click Yes to any uac prompt).

Click the scan button.

When the results are displayed, click on the Clean button - when you are prompted to restart, click Ok.

    Hello

    (1) have you made changes before the start of this issue?

    (2) have what program you tried to install?

    (3) you are able to install any other software on your computer?

    (4) what fix - it you try to run?

This occurs if the filevbscript.dll runtime script is not properly registered in the system.

Try the steps below and check if you are able to run the Microsoft fixit.

    a. click the Start button, type cmd. In the result of the research with the right button on cmd and select run as administrator.

    b. type cd %windir%\system 32 (Note: there is a space between the system and 32) and press ENTER.

    c. type regsvr32 vbscript.dll in the command prompt, and then press ENTER.

    d. type regsvr32 jscript.dll in command prompt, and then press ENTER.

If the registration was successful, you should now see the following message is displayed:

    DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll successful.

    e. now, try to run the Microsoft fixit.

  • Repair Windows Script Host (WSH/scripting) in XP SP3? (Need a true guru!)

I think I have a damaged installation of Windows Script Host, but I'm not 100% sure.  I'll try to provide as much detail as possible.  I try to keep my computer works well and can usually fix most of the problems, but this one is driving me crazy!

A week ago, I installed TurboTax 2009 to do my taxes and noticed that every help link I tried the program brought upward a Help window empty.  I thought it was weird and ultimately I ended install on one of my other computers and it was fine.  Yesterday, I searched around the internet and came on the idea that perhaps the problem was linked to Windows Scripting.  I saw some people mentioning the script errors in "Windows Help and Support" so I opened it and looked around.  Of course, I met two script errors.  For example, if I click on "Solving a problem", I get the following error:

    Internet Explorer Script error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Line: 71
    Char: 2
Error: Automation server can't create object
    Code: 0
    URL: ms-its:C:\WINDOWS\Help\ntshared.chm::/shared.js

If I click Yes or no to continue to run scripts, I then get the following:

    Internet Explorer Script error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
    Online: 492
    Tank: 10
    Error: 'doc' is not defined
    Code: 0
    URL: ms-its:C:\WINDOWS\Help\ntshared.chm::/shared.js

The Help window then presents information about "solving a problem", but here and there in the text is "XOX".  It seems that wherever it says "XOX", it should say "Windows XP" or something in that sense.  I then tried to open a part of the many CHM files in the Windows\Help folder.  Not all of them cause errors, but several practice.  For example, the causes of Magnify.chm the first error above followed by another script error that says: "class not registered".  It also displays "XOX" in places as well.

It seems pretty likely to me that the lack of information in the windows help of TurboTax is related to this other problem that I have.  I don't know when it started, but I suspect that it was several months ago.  A while back I noticed that Pogo games do not work on this computer because he says we do not have the right version of Java installed.  I think now that maybe Pogo.com uses javascript to determine the version of installed Java and maybe that is related to these other issues.

Please believe me when I say I've tried almost everything I can think of.  As mentioned above, I can usually fix such things, but I am against the wall.  I spent hours searching online for help with this and have gotten nowhere.  Many sites says it's a security issue in Internet Explorer.  I tried to set the security of IE to completely relaxed, and it did not help.  I even tried to roll back to IE6 and it did not help (I use IE8).  I also tried to disable all the modules of IE, and it did not help.  I tried to replace the DLLs associated with WSH as far as I know removing another computer XP SP3, which is the same regarding the operating system and the Windows updates go.  Did not help.  I was about to do a Windows repair, but for some reason, my USB keyboard does not work with it.  I suspect that it is because it is connected to a USB hub, but I did not connect directly to the computer.  I just took it as a sign that maybe I should try to fix it before you do something as strong.  Unfortunately the system restore is out of the question because a few days ago, I deleted all but the last file of system restore.  Why, I don't know.  I have never needed to use it before and thought it was a waste of space.  Don't worry the 147 GB of free space on my C drive.  I could about me kick to remove those now.

Anyway, I really think that something is damaged.  I don't know whether files or keys in the registry.  If I knew that the registry keys are associated with WSH and any files that are linked, perhaps I could get this straightened out by comparing to another XP computer I have.  It could be a corrupted installation of IE, but I tried to roll back and IE6 and then again to IE8, it seems unlikely.  In addition, other that the minor Pogo problem mentioned above, I don't have problems on Web sites.  It seems to be linked to the local script host (as opposed to scripts on Web sites server-side).  Incidentally, Pogo works on all my other computers (service identicle & updated packs to update running) and it does not work on this computer, but only in Mozilla Firefox (which, as I understand it uses its own scripts, the host rather than WSH).

I looked on the Microsoft site and saw downloads for Windows Script 5.7 (I think it was 5.7) but when I try to install it says that my service pack is higher than what it wants to install, so it gave up.  I found articles on the Microsoft Web site that mention fixing or repairing WSH but they are for older operating systems.  I can't find a way to repair my installation of WSH on XP SP3, or any advice to do manually.  I guess I can still break down and do a repair install on the operating system, but I've never needed to do it before in nearly 20 years of Windows computing.  I know I'll just reinstall the patches but I would still avoid it.  I even thought about biting teeth and installation of Windows 7 until I found this I can't do an upgrade on the spot and you will need to re - install all my games and dozens of other programs.  I really want to fix this if possible, but I guess this isn't the end of the world if I can't.

Ideas or knowledge you guys can give me on this?  I would be grateful!

    Hello

I tried your software in vista Compatibility Center

    no reference to it

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-Vista/search.aspx?type=software&s=FIBOTRADER

check the compatibility of vista with the manufacturer of the program

    and read this:

If a program is compatible with vista you can try right click on the setup.exe, and then selecting run as administrator

It is not compatible with vista, you can try running it in a previous operating system mode

This does not work for all programs

    read the information below

If a program is particularly important to you, there is this way of trying

but it's expensive, because you must have a previous operating system license to install

This method also works in vista Home premium, BUT isn't suppoprted by microsoft

  • Windows script host guard popping up when I connect

For some reason, the Windows Script Host dialog box started poppin up when I log the first on and also at other times in a session.  I don't know why this started happening.  I tried several solutions advocated by other users even changes to the registry, but the problem does not seem to reside in the registry.  I said that this could be due to a virus or a Trojan horse, but if it is, how can I find it and how to fix this so that the dialog box keeps popping up. He didn't tell me something important when it does.  Help, please!  I'm desperate.

    Hello

    1. What is the exact error message you receive to connect to the computer?

2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?

    3. what troubleshooting measures have tried to solve the problem?

Method 1: Follow these steps and check if this helps.

Step 1: Try to boot in safe mode and check if you receive the error message. Check out the following link to start the computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the problem does not occur in safe mode then, start the computer in clean boot in order to check whether a third-party program is causing the problem. To configure your computer to clean boot see the following link.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 7 article to start on normal startup.

Method 2: If the problem persists then, I suggest that you can exercise SFC scan and check if it helps. To do this, please see the following article. The SFC/SCANNOW command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions. For more information how to make SFC / scan, please follow this link:

    Original title: windows script host

    Hi Quti,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of community of Microsoft.

I appreciate your efforts to explain the matter in English.

    1. You did it of any significant changes to the computer before this problem?
    2. What anti-virus program is installed in your system?

Windows Script Host (WSH) enables scripts to be run directly in Windows by double-clicking a script file or by typing the name of a script file at the command prompt. Such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, WSH is a controller of ActiveX script engines and the scripts are written in Microsoft Visual Basic Script.

So, this could be the visual basic script that loads the background that is causing the problem. By starting the computer in selective startup with only necessary Microsoft services in operation, we can refine the question of which program is the cause. This process is known as a clean boot.

  • Windows Script Host startup error - Windows 8

    Hi all

I'm new Windows 8 Lenovo laptop recently, and I wanted to install all my games from my old computer to my new. So I did, but ended up with a few errors (which have nothing to due with Windows or Lenovo, but rather the games themselves), and as a result, I had to re - install java (I speak java just to make sure I cover all the possibilities, I doubt it has anything given with java). After a few UN-installations and scans/cleanings, I come back my computer back to normal except for one significant mistake: whenever I start my laptop, I get an error message that is titled "Windows Script Host" and includes the message "can not find script file"C:\ProgramData\Lenovo-1423.vbs" When I boot safe I get this message, but when I go to troubleshoot it in boot minimum, I always get the error message, no matter what services/StartupItems I disabled. My virus (Webroot and McAfee) software detect no threat when I scan my disks.

I don't know that I have forget something simple. Someone can offer me please help?

You can visit the http://forums.lenovo.com for you model and the State the problem here.  Support from Lenovo or another user probably know which driver or software that C:\ProgramData\Lenovo-1423.vbs file comes with & if all goes well uninstall/reinstall the driver or the program would be a simple solution.
