Windows security box keeps poping up when clicking on send and receive on my windows mail.

Hello, Im having a problem with windows mail, I can't send an email of reception in my windows mail whenever I open it one click send receive n security windows login box appears to want to me to enter my user name an password.

Can anyone help? Thank you

First check that your ISP has no problems with his server.  See if you can connect via webmail, if you have this ability.  Otherwise, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties together correctly and the credentials it.  There is a problem when you get prompt that is not save information, so set correctly before you check mail.  If there are still questions, then find the interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) and compact and repair the database where it is a problem (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

  • I get the empty error message when clicking on "send & receive in Windows Mail.

Original title: I receive a blank error message when you click "Send & Recieve" in Windows Mail.

I recently asked a question in the Microsoft answer that I could access Internet Forum is no longer my favorites to Internet Explorer 8 (although they were always on display in the folder My Favorites in my user account folder.)  Several fixes to this problem have been proposed, but the one that worked was when it was suggested that I might have a corrupted user account.  I was directed to Microsoft link "How to fix a corrupted user profile." I followed the instructions and created a new user account and copied the files to the new account. Was done to correct the problem, and now I can access all my favorites still in IE8 in the new user account.

However. I am now no longer able to send or receive messages in Windows Mail. When I click on "Send & receive" I get the box that says "some errors occurred while processing tasks requested. Please see the list of errors below for more details. "However, the box below which is supposed to list the errors is completely empty. I contacted my ISP (Virgin Media) provider, who did various diagnostic tests. They told me that this isn't a problem with their security, and they checked my account settings to make sure that everything is correct. They seem to think that this could be a problem with my registry. They sent several messages test (arriving in my web Virgin Media mail box), but for some reason are not getting downloaded in my Windows Mail. On a few occasions did pass the test messages (but only after I closed Windows mail and then reopened.) However, Windows Mail has stopped working again.

Just once, I got details of an error that has been ' ERR protocol error. Port 110, secure (SSL): 0X800CC90. 0x800ccc18 error number. "However, it was the only time. All other times, the error box is completely blank.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this problem.  I'm very IT limited knowledge.

I looked in the links provided by Karena & Bruce, but they did not provide a solution to my particular problem.   I must say that I have noticed some improvements to Windows Mail but the button "Send & receive" still does not work properly. I can now send and receive messages.  If there is no message on my e-mail server of the Virgin, access automatically when I open Windows Mail. However, if a new message is sent to me and as I click on "Send & receive" Windows Mail is already open on my computer, I always get the empty error message. The only way I can access the message is to close Windows Mail and re - open once again, when the new message is downloaded automatically. I found a link that says this error could be due to a duplicate news account.  I found that I had two ms.news accounts in my Windows Mail account and remove one of them.  However, this has not resolved the problem, and I'm still only able to receive new messages by the opening and closing of Windows Mail.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Try to remove your e-mail account, and then compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/), and then add your e-mail account back (no messages will be lost).  If this does not it, see if you can log on to your e-mail account through your email provider's website and see if it works.  If not, then contact your email provider and explain the problem.

  • In Windows 7, I can send and receive faxes but when someone calls they hear static fax

Hello. IN WINDOWS 7, I CAN SEND AND RECEIVE A FAX, BUT WHEN SOMEONE CALLS ON THIS LINE AS A PHONE CALL, THEY HEAR FAX STATIC AND CANNOT CALL VIA.  HOW TO ELIMINATE THIS WHEN I RECEIVE A CALL REGULAR ON THE SAME LINE?

As previously stated the feature seek you, IE automatically switch the call fax or phone to answer, depending on the type of appeal are not a feature of win7 or any fax modem.

There were external devices, you can buy separately put the call to the fax or phone depending on the type of call received.

Personally when I had only the line I would activate only the fax when I received a call that was an incoming fax. IE, hang up the phone, and then activate the fax. Of course this works if you are in the unit.

Its probably easier to get a fax to e-mail service, assuming that you do not want a second line.

  • How to use windows 8 to send and receive faxes

    Hi Yoon Choy Loo,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities.

After your description, I understand that you need help setting up the windows 8 in order to send and receive faxes. Let me help you with it.

Please follow the steps below to configure the fax:

    1. Hold the Windows key + C and type Fax and press ENTER.
    2. The Fax Configuration Wizard starts. Click Next.
    3. On the sender information page, type the information that you want to appear on your fax cover page. You don't have to fill in all the boxes. Then, click Next.
    4. The Fax Configuration Wizard displays the Select Device page to send or receive faxes. If you want to be able to receive incoming faxes, check the box to receive. If the telephone line you logged on to your computer is for faxes only, click on answer automatically after. If you want to manually answer incoming faxes, click Manual answer. Then, click Next.
    5. On the page of the Subscriber Identification (TSID), type the information you want in the TSID box. In general, it is a company name or your name and fax number. Click Next.
    6. On the page of the Subscriber called (CSID), type your information in the CSID box. The CSID that you enter is displayed on the fax machine of the origin of the fax. This number allows you to confirm that you send the fax to the right recipient. The CSID is usually the same as the TSID. Click Next.
    7. In the Routing Options page, choose whether you want to automatically print a fax. If you do not automatically print incoming faxes, they will be available in the Fax Console. Select Print on check box if you want each fax that you receive to be automatically printed. Then, click Next.
    8. End the SCW fax page, click Finish.
    9. The Fax Configuration Wizard closes and opens a Windows security alert. If you are prompted, click on unlock.
    10. Your computer is now ready to send and, possibly, to receive faxes. You can use the fax to go through the incoming or outgoing faxes, or upon receipt of a fax manually.

Please follow the steps below to use the fax on windows 8:

    1. Open the document, Web page, or e-mail to fax.
    2. On the file menu, click on print.
    3. In the print dialog box under Select printer, click Fax, and then click on print.
    4. In the welcome in the Send Fax Wizard page, click Next.
    5. On the recipient information page, type the name of the recipient in the box to type the recipient fax number in the fax number box. If you want to send the fax to more than one recipient, type the recipient information in the appropriate boxes, and then click Add. The recipient appears in the list and the areas are cleared so that you can enter additional information about the recipient. When you have finished adding recipients, click Next.
    6. On the preparation, the cover Page, select Select a page template to cover with the following information box. Click on the model in the cover page template list. Fill area of subject line and, eventually, the box Notes . Then, click Next.
    7. On the schedule page, click Next.

I have a question regarding windows mail. I was send and receive mail with no problems until last Thursday. I can still receive mail, but I can not send. My email is with bellsouth.net and comes in my computer through windows Messaging.  I spent an hour and a half on the phone with bellsouth, and they say that the problem is with my windows mail.  I tried to use a restore date, and that did not help either. I will post a copy of this message, as I keep getting.  Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Object 't', counts: 'mail.bellsouth.net', server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800CCC0F thanks for any help.

Sometimes, WinMail settings get screwed up and you must remove the account and then add it back back.  Make sure first that the antivirus software not interfere (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).   Delete your account completely, then close WinMail.  Then compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Add your account to mail back once again, and then make sure you have the correct settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and | Advanced to what AT & T Specifies to WinMail (or OE).  Then see if it works.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. You did it any significant hardware or change software on the computer before this problem?
    2. Other applications to update properly?
    3. Do you use a proxy connection to connect to the internet?

The question could arise due to incorrect e-mail account settings, updates pending or due to a problem with the application Mail or Windows Store. To diagnose and solve the problem, I suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

(If you use a mouse, point to the lower right of the screen, move the mouse to the top and then click settings.)

    3. Tap or click App updates.

    4. Press or click on Sync licensing

Step 3 : Delete the email account and to reconfigure the e-mail account in the app Mail see the following link to do.

    Method 2:

Download and run the convenience store of the App to the modern user interface. Also, try the additional steps described in the following link if the problem persists.

    Solve problems with a soft

    Method 3:

If you are using a connection through proxy, then try to disable the proxy and then check if the problem persists.

Follow the steps to disable the proxy:

    1. Open Internet Explorer
    2. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options
    3. Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN settings

  • Problem sending and receiving mail with Windows Live Mail

I've never had any problems with Outlook Express, but since I installed WLM, I get a lot of mistakes as well to send and receive e-mails.
I always get the same error number: 0x800CCC0E
    Error text is:
The connection to the server has failed.

    Object "Kit costs spreadsheet".
    Server: ' smtp.accu - cast.us'
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 10013

Apparently, I can't give up WLM and return to the OE. Need help. Thank you

I apologize for wasting your time. I'm afraid that I can't help.
Maybe you should call Qwest. I have problem with your battery - cast.us as the name of the smtp server, but I can't explain it.
Switching to port 587 smtp # is the right choice, because Qwest has put a block on #25.
But I can't solve your problem.

    Godd luck.
