• Security Center does not recognize installed AntiVirus software

  I tried to update my Roxio Roxio 2009 2007 but I have an error message and so I removed the installation 2009 and re-installed my 2007 edition.

  When I removed Roxio 2009 I was correctly or incorrectly advised to remove all references to the "Roxio" in the registry.

  I put "Roxio" in the box search of Regedit and deleted all references to Roxio then maybe that is what caused my problem.

  In addition to this, I have only 1 point of restoration and it is after I re-installed Roxio 2007 after using the cleaning and the points of additional backup option.

  What a fool one program is Roxio for not being able to uninstall their own stuff more graciously.  I read their directions.

  What is your system brand and model?

  What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..

  Follow these steps and check if it works:

  a. press Start > type in the box "services.msc" and press Ok

  b. in the list of services, double-click on Windows Management Instrumentation. Click stop , and then click OK.

  c. now locate the folder C:-WINDOWS-system32-wbem------repository and delete it.

  d. restart the services Windows Management Instrumentation and restart your computer

  Windows Security Essentials does not seem to register with Security Center.  Security Center reports that no Virus protection is enabled.

  1. I installed Windows XP 32 - bit WGA, activated the product and updated to SP3.

  2 security Center starts giving Windows security alerts for Virus protection, because none has been installed.

  3. I installed McAffee VirusScan.

  4 security Center stopped giving Windows security alerts for Virus protection.

  5. I uninstalled McAffee VirusScan.

  6 security Center has resumed giving Windows security alerts for protection against the viruses as before.

  7. I installed Windows Windows Security Essentials and rebooted.

  8. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Windows Security Essentials with no joy.

  Windows Security Essentials installation did not prevent Windows security alerts.  No Windows Security Essentials registry entry will appear in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Security Center and monitoring.  If Microsoft consider essential security to be an antivirus product, then how to Windows Security Essentials register with Security Center?

  I understand that this is an information and alert issue only.  I understand that Windows Security Essentials works actually ok.  I am particularly concerned by the reports.  It conditions my deployment of Windows Home Server.  Deactivation of surveillance or the alert is not a solution, just a poor quality work around.

  This problem is inconsistent WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) repository. Restart the WMI repository will solve the problem.

There is no section Entone for activation of the box, automatic remote recognition does not take into account. When I try to teach my cable remote codes manually it will "key to continue" but never moves from the teaching of the 1 button for button 2.  I am sure that the IR receiver works and is properly plugged in, and that the batteries in the remote are fresh.

  I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems.
