  I have an Asus Essentio with Windows 7 Professional. Although the computer was working ok, I installed the FIX It Professional [I bought it to install on my computer to girls] for the interview. Since then, I had several problems with slow MSN Mail and slow performance. I uninstalled the product and to restore the computer to the date of installation of the software.   1 log on to the system first.
  2. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
  3. Click Start and select computer.
  4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.
   
  5. click on install now.

  6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows 7 without the key and choose please confirm.

  7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows 7 system files.
   
  Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

  Reconstruction? Did you install the operating system again? And if yes then do you use the image of Toshiba?
  If this isn't the case, so I would recommend to install the operating system from the CD recovery Toshiba because on this CD, all Toshiba drivers and utilities are preinstalled.

  I think the button because doesn t work that you have just installed the drivers required or responsible tool.

  I found a solution for this problem and fixed it. I don't know how it would work for others. May give it a try because it will not harm you in any way.

  I tried to make all possible suggestions found on the net, but none has proved that my way then went on my own way.

  First of al the update of security for Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package comes with updates of Windows 5.6 MB file size which means (to my knowledge) to install two Versions of this update of 32 and 64-bit Versions on 64-bit PC running. This particular update the Versions of it needs to be installed and not a particular Version of the update. The size of the file for 32-bit would be 2.6 MB and 64-bit is 3.0 MB, once the combination comes only 5.6 MB. You can find the download on the link below and download Versions. You have 64-bit the second and 32 bits as the 3rd on the download page. I first installed the update then with the 32-bit and the 64-bit Version and finally managed.   first of all, I suggest you to re-register the windows installer. To do this, please follow the steps below:

  Step 1:
  
  Unregister Windows Installer and then reregister Windows Installer. To do this, follow these steps:
   
  1. in the menu 'Start', click on ' execute:.»
  2. in the "Open" box, type "msiexec /unreg", and then press ENTER.
  3. in the menu 'Start', click 'run '.
  4. in the "Open" box, type "msiexec/regserver", and then press ENTER.

  Also I suggest you to start the Windows Installer service.

  After clean installation of windows update don't work or Tajo 2 or 3 days before that some day to come inside.

  Sometimes, Windows tries to download and install a bunch of updates at once and if one of them

  fails, it will just sit there for hours. It could be a big file to download also.

  One thing you can do is to choose which you want to install. On the Windows Update screen, you might

  be able to see something like "X is the number of important/optional updates is available", click on that.

  

  Then, you can check the updates you want to install. In this way, you know that you were given

  questions.

  That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

  I am running Vista Home Premium.  When I install the important updates 25 current, the Windows Start menu will not work.  I use McAfee security updates have to do with security, so I guess there is some kind of conflict, however, I run the exact same system and security on my laptop and it has no os of problems of this nature.  Is it possible that I can solve this problem and install important security updates?
