How to solve the problem when I want to open the swf file in windows media player? There, half year, when I click on a swf file, it could automatically play in Windows Media Player.

    Hello

SWF is a file format for multimedia, vector graphics and Action Script in the Adobe Flash environment. Origin with future Wave Software, then transferred to Macromedia and then coming under the control of Adobe, SWF files can contain animations or applets of varying degrees of interactivity and function.

SWF functions as the dominant vector "animation" on the Web for graphics display format. It can also be used for programs, games by browser commonly, using ActionScript.

  • Windows 7 Home: "your current security settings do not allow this file to download."

My OS is Windows 7 Home. I tried several times to download the software I bought online. Whenever I received the following error message:

"Your current security settings do not allow this file to download." How can I get access to the appropriate 'security settings' to disable this feature?

In your Internet Options, on the Security tab click "restore all zones to default level" to restore security to the standard.

  • All of a sudden I can't open attachments to emails. I get a message that the 'security settings' do not allow. Where are these settings and who put?

I use TWC (Time Warner Cable) as my server e-mail and Firefox as my browser. I went to my emails and has attempted to open an attachment and got an error message stating "security settings prevent the download file. Well, I contacted TWC, Norton and my PC settings. It seems that Firefox is the problem! If I use another browser ie: Google and go to my email account, I have no problem. I remember recently that Firefox did a download of updates and this may be the cause of the problem.

Thank you for your private message with the error text: "your current security settings do not allow this file to download."

Firefox partially integrates with Internet Explorer security settings for download purposes. You can realize your Internet Explorer settings to the 'Internet' zone by following the steps described in this answer to Microsoft forums:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/IE/Forum/IE8-windows_other/error-message-your-current-security-settings-do/59cc236d-7baf-4552-92ff-b34b9a6942aa

Note: Traditionally, the Internet Options dialogue box was available in the Control Panel, as well as in IE. Not sure about Windows 8.1.

After the test, restore it to its original position. IE - tools - internet options - [security] tab - click on the globe (internet zone) and lower the slider. It downloads then? • Security settings do not allow execution of script code in the report.xsl stylesheet

    Hello world

I can't open a file of XML in Excel 2007 results - even if I added the stylesheet for trusted locations and deleted all the protections.

    Here's what happens:

    1. open the XML results file how I am propmpted for select the report.xsl stylesheet TestStand

    2. then gives error: Scripts in this XML document and/or references to other documents are disabled.

    3. by clicking OK gives more specific information - namely the security settings don't allow execution of code within this stylesheet script:

    But I did the following:

-The path to the sheethas style was added to the "trusted locations".

-ActiveX settings are completely enabled for all controls without restrictions

-Macros settings are enabled for all macros

-Is trust access to the VBA project object model

    -All data connections are allowed

How can I activate the execution of script code in the style sheet for the file XML can load?

Directly from the Article in the Microsoft Knowledge base, please note that do the following changes "may make your computer or your network more vulnerable to attack by malicious software such as viruses." It's always a good idea to make a backup of your registry before editing. This can be done by clicking on file' export.

In any case, as the article explains, open the registry and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Security. The security file must contain a registry key called XSLSecurityLevel. Mine did not have this registry key and I had to create it (see screenshot below). Double-click the XSLSecurityLevel registry key, type 1 in the data value, and then click OK.

You should now be able to view the XML from Excel 2007 report. To reset this setting, simply double-click the registry XSLSecurityLevel key, enter 0 in the given value, and then click OK.

    I hope this helps!

  • "your security settings do not allow for this file to download" - AGAIN!

    Hello

I can't download apps and programs. I received a lot of help on the forum, but nothing helped. More recently, I went to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135 and follow the instructions. Nice instructions. Had no effect. Also made sure anti-viral and firewall is absent.

Examples of what I tried to download is 'amazon games and software downloader' and 'Amazon kindle app for pc.

I am running windows 7 starter edition.

There is something fundamentally wrong with my Windows. Yes?

If you think you have a fix for this, you can come back. It's my Windows community sixth or eighth in this test.

To solve your problem, follow these steps:

Note: Download only the files and programs on trusted sites. Downloading files at risk since it can contain malware and viruses that can damage the system. Change the security settings for download at your own risk. Make sure you have an Antivirus running on the bottom before downloading programs.

(Make sure to close any browser you use before performing the steps)

    1. click on Start > Control Panel

    2. click on network and Internet > Internet Options

    3. click on the Security tab, click custom level... button (see image below).

    4. now scroll down to the download section and under file download, choose Activate.

    An update on the results.
