I play games that allows me to send gifts to your facebook friends and when I click on send gift, a screen with the names of my friends will be displayed so that I can select the ones to send to... but since yesterday morning, the pop up screen using firefox became so weak that it allows only one line and it does not allow me scroll more than 5 times... While the IE pop-up window shows 27 lines at once, and I can scroll the following 27 and so on... I have pictures of the screen if you need...
You should be able to resize the window pop - up to enlarge.
You allow sites resize the popup window?

I'm just set up my new windows 7 laptop (Dell Precision M4400) running windows 7 Professional and VPN are not working, they're always bombing with error 807. "The connection between your computer and the VPN server was interrupted."
I created a PPTP connection in order to connect to my workplace and connecting I continually receive an 807 error.
To check my internet etc is work that I have connected to the same place through my existing XP laptop computer (DELL precision M4300) which has the same VPN settings. Everything connects aok.
I'm also running ESET as my anti-virus and firewall and that you have disabled it to test (normally I have no problem running this and is also running on my XP laptop). I also confirmed that windows firewall is turned off.
I connect wireless at home, internet works fine, firewall has not changed at each end (I manage both ends) and such noted works for my machine also running more XP wireless.

I have a Dell Dimension E310 Windows XP Home Edition - Road Runner server. When I want to close it I get a WDS_SL screen which I can check by
Cancel (do not answer) or by clicking end now, who's going to lose all the data (not responding) what is this & how do I get rid of the program? Help, please
That belongs to Windows Desktop Search.
You can uninstall WDS issue, reboot, and reinstall and that could help, but if I were you I would uninstall and never install it again.
WDS is a famous memory and CPU hog and I'll bet you dollars to Donuts, that your system performance suffers from installed WDS. If you uninstall WDS, your system will reward you with increased performance.
If you are forced to reinstall WDS, after you uninstall and reboot, you can download WDS 4.0 from here:
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=23
You don't describe symptoms suggestive of a need to run the System File Checker.
Suggesting he looks like to say "I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it.
I don't see how one of these other Microsoft committed ideas expert technician for technical support will help you either, but you can of course give them a shot - you will get maybe lucky.

This has only started happening since Thunderbird has been updated to version 38.2.0.
It seems to happen after restarting the computer (W8.0) of the State of "sleep".
It seems that some mails are downloaded, then the program crashes and is then completely insensitive.
Closing the program and once again start times seem to restore its functionality - the remaining emails are then downloaded and restored normal user interaction.Cymro78,
Do you see an improvement when you use the 38.3.0 version?

so, I'm running vista 64 bit basic, I want to do a fresh install,
but my drive is very early (noservice packs ect) can I download of ms a basic family of complete up-to-date vista 64-bit with sp2 with my cd key? or should I shut up and make from my cd and cope? If I do a reinstall should I reinstall all my programs as well?
Hello yaleblor,
You can download the full SP2 for Vista from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16468
Save the file to a CD/DVD or USB key.
Once you have the service pack downloaded file, you can use your current Vista CD to install a fresh copy of Windows Vista on your C: drive. Once you have installed Vista you can install service pack 2 directly from the CD/DVD or USB you originally stored it on. All you then need to do is to run the Windows updates to update your system completely.
You can find out how to do a clean install by looking at this link from my Web site: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/install_windows_vista.htm
After you install Windows Vista, you will need to re - install all your programs, so make sure that you have all the programs by hand before starting to consider reinstalling Windows.
