Windows speech recognition stops randomly with the error: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. »

Original title: "the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80. The memory could not write. "And the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80. The memory could not be written.

I have Windows Vista and I use speech recognition Windows, a lot of things. I have used it for years and have really learned to rely on it! Unfortunately, since a recent upgrade of windows installed, Windows speech recognition stops randomly in the middle of using it and it gives me the following error message: «the instruction at 0x6434c5e9 referenced memory at 0x0ef2ea80.» The memory could not write. "And then it stops. When I open it again, it seems to open normally and it will work for varying amounts of time before it does again and I get a different error message.

I tried to restart and it did not help at all. Please, can someone help me? Please?

Hi Alicia,.

1 update you tried to install?

Method 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan and check.

This problem may occur if a system file is missing or damaged.

You can refer to the method-the System File Checker tool in the following article:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2:

Step 1:

Check the updates that are installed recently.

You can view the following link to check the installed updates:

See the Windows updates are installed

Step 2:

You can uninstall these updates and try to install the update one at a time and check for the issue.

Remove an update

Method 3:

You can also try a system restore to a restore point before the updates were installed.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

Some programs that you have running is a failure. You have to find what it is that you can take appropriate measures such as uninstall/reinstall the program if it is legitimate. The first thing to do is to always make sure that the computer is free of viruses/malware:

    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

If the computer is clean, you can use a combination of Process Manager, the Configuration system, AutoRuns and boot in diagnostic mode utility to find out what is running and otherwise.

Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use rather Start > Run > services.msc [Enter] and stop all services unless you really, really know what you're doing.

Drop the question above actually lead to what may be a solution... The fix for Windows Vista pre SP1 fixes an issue with the (cloned) dynamic disks used to store the paging file.  I have two drives on the clone (E:\) which the system information noticed the location of the swap file.  I put the pagefile drive to C:\ in the event where it was the same problem, such as reported in the hotfix, but it has not fixed the problem...  So I assumed that this fix has been exceeded and a coincidence. But the information system showed the swapfile E:\, my dynamic disks...

What has removed the error is "double adjustment" the return to C:\ drive.  Apparently once is not enough.  I put the pagefile on C:\ managed and rebooted system.  Then I noticed the mistake of volmgr came from miroir3 (second player in E:\) still info system showed the swapfile on C:\.   Weird indeed.  I went and be given the C:\ drive as the system swap drive to managed by activation/deactivation/Executive every car out of the current value, and then back to the desired direction.  After having done that and restart once more the error no longer appears in the event viewer at startup.

What a pity that the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked.

Resolution of the problems would be much faster and without a lot of trial and error and guessing if this was the case.

If you see messages similar to this:

Application error: the instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010". Memory could not be "written".

It seems that the last update for Windows Media Player may contribute to this problem when the system has the Windows Driver Foundation Service active and running.

Unless you write your own drivers for XP and using the Windows Driver Foundation Service to help you debug, you should disable the WDF Service.

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    services.msc

Click OK to launch the Services Applet

Locate the Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework service, right-click on the service, select properties and choose disabled and OK your way out of the Services Applet to save the changes.

Note that you will not be able to 'Stop' Service first, but it's OK.

Restart your system (the WDF service is now disabled) and check your failure condition now.

Since posting this message, I talked to a Microsoft technician on four separate occasions, for more than an hour each time.

We finally got Internet Explore upwards and currently underway.

We were able to get my AOL to exploit. It does not install on a disk that I used to install it on my PC, it will not install on internet. We tried several verisions. The tech has ordered my computer remotely and removed spyware and software malware with some programs. The message we get is that I don't have enough disk space or memory, I'm only using 1/3 of each available. The tech thinks that XP Home Edition does not uninstal when I installed XP Professional.  CHKDSK /R works as I type and technology will call me in an hour, for the results and this will be our 5th Conference.  I've never had this kind of service before I praise only for the technology.

Incidentally, I had some problems when I upgraded toXP professional serpk2 serpk3 professional XP on my PC, but they were resolved in a few hours.

WSR, Windows speech recognition, is listening to the sounds of the words. However, the outside sounds in the environment are often interpreted as words if they enter the audio stream between your mouth and the microphone. The best answer is to eliminate these sounds in the audio stream. If you use a microphone to field far as those built in the computer/Tablet notebook, trying to say stop listening when you dictate not and then start listening when you want dictate or issue commands. Alternatively you can hold down the Windows key and tap the control key to act as a toggle On / Off.

For better accuracy, you should use a good noise canceling with close talking microphone. The simplest are those found on headphones with the MIC at the end of a boom in wire. If you already use a good noise protection headset, place the element of the microphone at the end of the boom on the corner of your mouth. This will prevent noise into the audio stream.
