Windows stops after start

original title: System Shut Down while loading. Totally baffled.

Then my cousin will deposit me his computer saying "She will start, run for about 10 seconds and then turn right back." Automatically, I guess when I opened this thing to the top, it's going to be very dusty and probably needs a cleaning. This computer (eMachine) has more than 5 years and has practically no dust beside him. All the fans are running, all temperatures are @ a reasonable level. I proceed to restart it, and as it comes to the Windows loading screen (Vista), not even 2 seconds and it turns off completely. I take my Hiren Boot CD (it's a boot with a lot of Tools CD) and you try to start Mini Windows XP. (he spends just a little windows xp app from the CD for those who do not know Hiren) Does the same thing, as soon as Windows XP starts to load, it turns off completely. Disconnect the HARD drive and try to boot into Windows XP, once again, same result.

I then started using memtest, Prime, ect... Hiren boot CD and everything ends and pass. That's what I'm stumping. How could a computer turned on for 2-3 hours of stress test, but then turns off when he tries to load windows. Even if I already discarded the possibility of HARD drive problems when I unplugged and it always has done the same thing, even the HARD drive passed the test.

Any help / insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Not sure, I did not have that check in the bios, but I seriously doubt it. My cousin is a pretty basic computer user, so I doubt he even knows how to enter the bios. : x

I gave him the choice, said with shipping and handling, that I could probably replace covers for less then $10, or we could just replace the whole MB for $40 - $50 and we have both decided to just replace the MB. I just pushed towards the replacement of the MB, simply because with 5 bits of bad, I don't know that other stuff is probably going bad as well. Here again, many times I had to replace them, just do not dear caps.

  • Windows stops after it comes out of hibernation.

For some reason it stops when the computer comes out of hibernation. He does this only when I don't do anything with the computer immediately after that it go to the desktop. I guess like 5 minutes away she just stops while I am not. When I turn it back on, it always starts in the same condition it was when it entered hibernation. What could be the problem?

    It is by design.

When XP comes out of hibernation, XP expects it to be a reason he came out of hibernation.  If XP comes out of hibernation and can't find anything ' to do' it resumes hibernation by himself in 300 seconds (5 minutes).

This feature is built in case your system is equipped with the hibernation of some external event like a networking event, etc. and you don't want that, she will automatically return to hibernation.

If you move the mouse, press any on the keyboard, etc., which is considered to be something, so XP knows you're here, and it will not automatically resume the hibernation.

What do you see or you try to do something and hibernation occurs while you are busy?

You can read a little about the functionality of XP here:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318355

If you don't like the way it works, I know only a workaround solution that is to your system from a shortcut on the desktop or in hibernation, and then using a third party application batch file so that when XP comes out of hibernation, the mouse movement is simulated is enough to satisfy XP thinking that any human being moved the mouse and it will not rehibernate.

I can tell you a way to do it if you are interested... after the understanding that there is really nothing wrong.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Adobe Creative Suite Design CS6 - PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator immediately stops after start

I am troubleshooting for a customer with Adobe Creative Suite Design CS6.

Its programs do not start all of a sudden, they launched and begins to read the plug-ins and opening a workspace, but then without warning and error it stops. no newspaper, error message or anything like that...

It's the same thing for PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator in 32 bit and 64.

It would also have a Wacom Bamboo CTE 650 installed penpad before.

That's what I've done so far:

    * Uninstall the whole and reinstalled again suit (made it 3 - 4 times, manually deleted regestry files, used CNettoyez and other cleaning tools)

    * Deleted the drivers wacom with controlpanel tool, driver Windows Clean tool, CNettoyez and manually remove the keys from the registry and files.

    * Uninstall the antivirus software and replaced by another, inactivated AV and Windows Firewall.

    * Delete the registry files for the costumes and "re-register" them once again.

    * Full patch for windows and adobe software.

I bought my Thinkpad E320 just two weeks ago, but today it automatically stop itself after opening for 10 minutes with no indication. The same thing happened when I restart the computer several times.

This problem has occurred both battery and AC adapter mode (I tried several times). In fact, I noticed that the power light is sometimes strong and sometimes isn't clear when I plug the AC adapter into the computer.

I have scanned together with antivirus sofware drivers and no virus is found.

I think that there is something wrong with the power of the computer system. What should I do now?

  • FMD (admin) unexpected stops after start

Thats'the error I get after a relocation which was RECOMMENDED to me by Adobe (europe).

The story so far (several weeks of agony in a few words):

Decided to buy professional FMS to be used with profile 2 (1000u/40Mbit)
-several days of the call to adobe/reseller /... .different number... Adobe/reseller/address postal etc later finally... they know what I want...

Purchased Professional FMS to be used with profile 2 (1000u/40Mbit)
-in the meantime... and then more again

Received a cd and a piece of paper with a laser printer, which claims to be a 'certificate' license... whatever
Entered the serial number on the server...
Serial key describes a profile 150u/unlimited... ok, this isn't what I wanted... No option to change the phone... Please.

-a lot of calls to adobe, no one seems to know SOMETHING about the product except that only I should probably call
(yet) another number... A note that I had probably the produces worng, cauz 'certificate' of my license said (hold) your hats: ' quantity = 1'... which should average oubviously it was a number of different profile...? OK very professional advice here.

OK, so everyday, I don't get the idea they know nothing about it that I don't know already myself so I search on the net me. Discovered several things:
I SHOULD be able to configure the server to use the profile 2, at least using FMS 2.01 (that I got running OK), so I did:
files direct to the 1000 files - modified 40.pro, restarted the server, no change at all.

Finally I the reseller and adobe fight, got a new person number adobe tech... (WHICH WAS a public holiday and so far never returned a call...) and advise to reinstall the product... Yes will arrange this... guaranteed...

After receiving the 'quantity' - remarks about 5 phonenumber and 1 in the United States, (which is obviously closed when I'm awake...)
I took a desperate as measure according to the standard "uninstall and reinstall... What do you need to fix"-Advisor... "." OE God...

so I did, all uninstall them (supported important dirs of course)
reinstalled from the CD (which is an older version 2.0)
    ..
and that's where it ends... Unable to connect to the admin cant for the FMSadmin service starting and I come from a working server with the profile of no server at all harming the...

so let's start first... How to get the bloody service working again?

OK done a few (3) all the re - installs, restart the live server and finally at one point, he decided to all work... I hope that adobe in europe will get updated on this software. They should be able to help a customer with questions about 'their' products.
For all of you who have these kinds of disorders, completely uninstall, reinstall the latest version (download, do not use the cd), and then edit the fms.ini and server.xml (as designed to update adobe page) restart after the installation. The last part is a pain when it's a live Web server, but it seems the only way.

  • Noron 360 sometimes cannot be started on Windows 8 when starting after a stop!

    Hello

I have a desktop computer running Norton 360 first Edition version (current) 20.4.0.44 with the latest definitions for viruses on Microsoft Windows 8 Professional with Media Center. Norton 360 , sometimes fails to start on Windows 8 , when starting after a stop.

Since I first installed the new version of 'version-less' 2013 Norton 360 on Windows 8, it sometimes does not start at startup after a stop and did not bother to mobilize support for that matter because I thought that Symantec or Microsoft could be aware of the problem and that an update or a patch will be available soon. Norton 360 prompted me to apply a new patch today, and after applying the patch, I have realized that the amended version of the version 20.3.0.36 to version 20.4.0.44. Moreover, I also noticed that the aforesaid problem with Norton 360 persists, and if my memory is good, Norton 360 sometimes also does not start after the resumption of hibernation. I used to put the computer to sleep and I never have this issue when hybrid sleep. For Norton 360 upward and run again, I usually just give the computer a reboot.

I believe that the function "quick start" in power options Windows 8 are originally Norton 360 sometimes fails start. I haven't noticed this problem on computers that are running Windows XP or Windows 7. If Symantec or Microsoft may arrive at a solution to this problem without having to turn off the quick start of Windows 8feature, I would be very grateful!

    Kind regards

    Hi Doug,.

Kindly let me know what Norton product, you try to use, and if download you the latest version of the internet, or you install a version earlier than either downloaded or a disc? Please also post the specifications of your computer and operating system incl. architecture and the edition you are running.

Regarding your question: are you affected by the same problem that I did? Only Norton only lack of start from time to time, or Norton fails it run continuously?

If Norton sometimes does not start on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 8:

Disable the "quick start" function in Windows 8 by going to the bar of charms > settings > Panel > material and audio > Power Options > Choose this as the power button , then click on change settings that are currently unavailable, uncheck the enable fast start (recommended) and click on save changes. Restart your computer to test if Norton starts up. If Norton still does not start, uninstall Norton completely, restart your computer, download and run the latest version of Norton removal tool from Symantec website, computer restartyour once more. Then download the latest version of your Norton product either downloading the trial, or you connecting to your Norton account if you have a valid subscription and clicking on the button to download next to your subscription. Install the latest version of your Norton product and manually run the direct updated until all the updates and hotfixes without restarting have been installed and no updates are available before stopping or restarting your computer!

If Norton does not at all on a computer running Microsoft Windows 8:

Uninstall Norton completely, restart your computer, download and run the latest version of the Norton removal tool from Symantec website, computer restartyour once more. Then download the latest version of your Norton product either downloading the trial, or you connecting to your Norton account if you have a valid subscription and clicking on the button to download next to your subscription. Please feel free to ask me more questions about, or contact me if you have problems, uninstalling, reinstalling, downloading, install the latest version of your product, Norton , or if you are having trouble updating your Norton product! Hello

Believe me; It's not easy to say exactly why the BSOD appears.
It usually happens because of a malfunction or severe software hardware fault.
Have you used the operating system of the image of Toshiba?
Message it says something about sysaudio.sys.
This file is a system audio WDM filter processes and it s a part of the Windows operating system. It controls the material such as the printer or the graphics card at a lower level.

Note: The virus uses these files as a camouflage. You should always use an anti virus application.

In addition, you suggested that the laptop stops after 5 min.
Well, this looks like an overheating problem. How did you use the laptop? You know that free space around the laptop is very important due to the circulation of air. Fans should also be free.

I you use Notepad in the right position and it happen, so I recommend asking for help Toshiba service partner. They should check the laptop.

    Hello

It happens after installing the OS from the Toshiba Recovery CD?
You have installed any additional program?

I noticed a similar freeze on my laptop. For the most part, it happened because the background process has not closed, and so the laptop could not force the closure downwards. In my case it was an adobe acrobat reader software that could not close.

I think you should you HDD defragment and use the freeware CCleaner application.
This program cleans the program errors and corrects registry entries.

  • Windows 7 does not stop after updates

My computer will not stop after you install updates. What is the best way to solve the problem?

    Thank you
    Cam1956

    Hi cam1956,

The updates take time depending on the size of the file. If the update has hung so I suggest you hard reboot the computer and see if you can boot to the desktop. If you can boot to the desktop and then the updates are not installed will appear and which will be installed during the next update.

Run the troubleshooter in Windows 7 for Windows Update turn when starting the computer on the desk, and perhaps that should take care of the updates. Install updates by selecting two to both as the updates and see update is actually causing the problem.

Once you have identified the update that causes the problem, you can access the link below and install the updates manually.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/GP/downloadover/en-AU#TAB0

If you know the updates that must be installed, you can manually enter the KB update in the search bar the link to download the update manually.

If the computer does not start on the desktop, then I suggest you to start safe mode and see if you can boot to the desktop. If you are in the office, do a system restore which will take the computer to a time where it was working fine and then start to install the updates manually as suggested above.

Go to the link below for the procedure to start in Safe Mode and system restore.

  • Windows does not start until after the second day to have.

I just got my laptop Toshiba yesterday with Windows 7 above. I used it for about 4 hours, when I'm done I turned it off by saying it close here go to start > stop. Before putting the laptop on I saw the lights on so I pressed the manual to close button, at the last second, I saw he said something as 341 on 356 updates installed, do not turn off the computer. I don't think a lot because I was tired so the next morning, I try to turn on my laptop and it stops after the Windows 7 load loading animation, and all I have is a black screen with a mouse. I tried to run in safe mode, same thing black screen with my ability to see where is my mouse.

    Hello

More great frustration in my life have laptop brand new, this for me.

After that the laptop goes into mode 'sleep', I'm not able to go back to Windows. All light are there and watch as usual, but there is no Lenovo Welcome logo or any other sign of normal behavior. I can turn it off by holding the button market / stop, but when I turn back the problem is still there. Windows does not start.

I was able to go back to Windows that day after leaving just laptop without any power and battery.

I called Lenovo and they suggested to disable the standby modes use put into hibernation. I did it. When the screen saver started, something went wrong, computer got froze and I had to restart, but then again, black screen and no reaction.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks for the reply.

That's what I end up doing. OnKeyrecover does not work either so what spoke on the phone with Lenovo. Then he is gone now for repair.

  • Stop after button problems reloading Windows

I had to format and reload my windows XP after a crash. Finally, everything is OK except that when I want to stop I'll start it up buttons and instead to get the three options in form of button, I get a box with a menu drop-down offering three options. How can I go back to normal three buttons to the closure or the day before? Also when I chose the eve I now can't move the mouse or any key to start again but have to press the power button on the tower. Once again how I go back to how it was? Thank you

Try it and see, it is pretty easy to change back if things don't work for your taste!  If you find that it stops at the home screen, turn on AutoLogon, to:

Type control userpasswords2 in the Start menu Run box end, remove the check mark in the "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."
