My CPU and network are running at almost 100%. How can I solve this problem?
Your post is off-topic for the forum for Feedback, so I moved it to the "Performance and Maintenance" window forum. Please do not let your WIndows version a secret.
I can understand concerns about the use of the network, the truth is that the processors are always busy at 100%. It is the only State that they can be. If they don't run a process for you, then they run the Scheduler, or they run the idle process, but they are still and always running something. Only when they have so many things to do that they cannot run programs that you initiated there is a cause for concern.
If I saw a lot of inexplicable network activity, I download and install Wireshark (http://www.wireshark.org/) to see if she could tell me the other end of traffic points.

The problem may well be that this program, so be sure to check with his support. Or something else

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.
Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.
This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - define the VIEW
for the drivers Microsoft hide - updated those without drain in their names. (Also updated
the BIOS and chipset drivers.)-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
manually by model.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Impossible to install the windows update and perform the system restore
Original title: what restore systerm causing failure/Vista
Windows update fails with a few updates, tried to restore the back before I loaded the system machanic - fails
Hello
1. What is the description which are impossible to install updates?
2. What is the message exact error do you get when you try to install updates?
3. you get any error message while you perform the system restore?
I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if it helps:
Method 1: Reset components from Windows Update from the link of the suite, which would help you to install the updates of windows. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058
Method 2:
If the problem persists, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and then try to install the update to windows.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.
Method 3: Manually try to install updates from the Microsoft Download Center.
a. go to the Microsoft Download site, type the number of "KB" of the update in the download search box and then click OK.
b. in the list of search results, click on the (KB) Knowledge Base article link to go to the download page. If there is more than one list, look for a link that goes to the Microsoft Download Center.
c. If there are several versions on the download page, find the appropriate for your computer. Click on the download button and save the update to your desktop.
d. When you are prompted, click open to install the update.
Method 4: You can also try to perform the system restore , safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.
Note: When the computer is in safe mode, System Restore does not restore points. Therefore, you can not undo a restoration you performed when the computer is in safe mode.
Hope this information is useful.

Plan to spend 8 windows with high-performance
Hello.
Recently, a few days ago bought my asus x202e PC so I
everything is great, except that automatically power management to high performance.
It's really hard to change to another diet plan I have to quickly press another plan of power until it takes effect, when I change on the other can plan jumps to high performance immediately.
Also when I managed to choose balanced or power saving when I unplug or plug in the AC, it changes to high performance.
It's really a question but I need to take the laptop to school with his light and portable computer battery is dying quickly, if I do not pay attention to it and its very annoying. Oh and also the fan on high performance is going to be full speed noisy and heats up the pc, so no good for the battery at all. Its very big problem for me. Help, please!Yes, I managed to solve it. I tried many things end up f-ing of the things that I shouldn't mess with. Then I refresh my pc, the windows function 8. Then I noticed something like powerskin window in the lower left corner. Then I Googled it upward and yes it was the thing at the origin of the problem.
SO what I had to do was go c/windows/temp/powerskin/and rename powerskin.exe to something else. And the problem was gone. I am now happy using my pc :) hope you manage to fix yours too. -
Windows Driver LSI_SAS, performance and Storport hotfix
While the investigation on a Windows 2008 R2 VM disk performance issue, I recently came across the following article on a Storport driver updated for Windows 2008 R2, indicating that it could greatly affect storage performance (see below). It seems really interesting, but I have a few questions (1), the driver uses LSI_SAS Storport? and (2) someone has already tried this update?
Computer intermittently gives bad results or stops responding when the Storport driver is used in Windows Server 2008 R2
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/2468345
Consider the following scenario:
- You install some storage devices high performance on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2. For example, you install a RAID adapter based on the host or a Fibre Channel adapter that can access more than 4 gigabytes (GB) on a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
- The Storport.sys is used to manage these storage devices.
- The computer has more than 4 GB of physical memory.
- You install an application or a service that uses a large amount of memory on the computer.
For example, you install SQL Server or Exchange Server on the computer.
In this scenario, the computer may intermittently mediocre performance or stop responding for a while.
For example, the computer stops responding for 10 to 20 seconds.
The VM problem details:
> More of these events: 129 LSI_SAS / o \Device\RaidPort3, restore the device, has been published.
> Server must be restarted to solve the problem
Which version of the lsi_sas driver are you using? the windows 2008 thunk it should use (stupid windows)
I've dealt with this for almost a year now. Always high io, high cpu 129 sql servers (resets) boom without box.
I swiched a paravirtual VMware machines and I can replicate the problem. Made me to google:
lsi_sas restore the switch of the paravirtual device solves the problem. Who grew up gold: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2063346
IM leaving a machine on paravirtual but I changed the machines during a new driver that I found on the site of lsi 1.34.3.0 of the 13/06/2011, which is over where, they say, the error is corrected.
None are repeated on the new boxes of pilot, but it might be too early. The paravirtual box but I consider a success, he'd die 2 times every weekend, but not after the new controller.
Ive joined the pilot is not the easiest to find.

(Swap file Windows 2008) VMware performance monitoring
Today, one of my virtual machines filled the memory and the Windows 2008 host wrotes a lot of memory in the paging file.
VMware under memory use only 40% has shown that the memory in use.
In esxtop, I spent to memory but did not find a counter that indicates that the virtual machine has been Exchange inside the BONE.
The MEMSZ was esxtop 4096, SZTGT = 4300, TCHD = 1600, % ACTV = 26%
How could I follow if a virtual machine is exchanging the memory inside the BONE? PowerShell?
Thank you in advance!

Windows not to perform a search on my external hard drive
I have a drive external hard seagate free agent desktop. It works well and I am able to save and retrieve information off of it without problem. However, Windows does not research on the external hard drive. I tried to use it on another computer, and the research was conducted as usual. I do not understand what is happening. Can someone please help with this? It's a drive external hard 750Go, and it is difficult to search manually.
I tried to search on my memory stick on this computer, and I was able to do it without problem. The only problem is to find between this computer and the external hard drive.
You must enable the disc to the search index. Here are the procedures (there are several procedures in this document - I think that these are the second most): http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/69564-index-enable-disable.html.
I hope this helps.

Failure of the Windows Configuration when performing disk recovery system.
I have a HP Pavilion model: A6838F product number: NC839AA #ABA, Serial #{removed privacy}, BIOS: V5.36 12/01/09
The drive has been recently replaced by a 750 GB Hitachi PN. 0F131179, SN. 5V06D3ZL
750 GB MLC:MRS5Q0 FW:5 Q 0 LBA:1.465.149.168 sectors CHS: 16383/16/63
New recovery discs were recently acquired by HP PN. 530238-001 build ID: 92NAv6PrA2, which corresponds to the identifier of the version on the sticker at the bottom of the CPU.
The recovery disks starts as expected and ran through all three discs and ask to remove then restarted the system and continued the installation. Everything seemed to work as expected until the part of the process where it indicates that the process is to configure windows for my computer - "Please wait while windows configures your computer." follow-up by "end of installing windows... installation." and so on...
After a while, the system displays a window indicating "Installation of Windows could not configure windows to run on this hardware of computers". It seems that the system is built almost and you have to configure windows, but he can't. Attempts to start the drive puts me in the loop where the system tries to configure Windows and fails.
I need help on this last hurdle. Suggestions?
After a lot of trial, tribulation and persistence, I found the solution to this problem. Hope it helps shorten the process of troubleshooting for someone else.

Hi, I bought Vista 64 bit earlier and it almost made me for the mac, but when I first tried win7 beta and it was great on a lower technical platform and could not wait for full details. so, I bought a brand new platform last i7 CPU and 6 GB DDR 3 channels and the latest Nvidia 275GTX 1765 MB Vram Grfx and could not do more than what was and is still ongoing. I installed my new win 7 64 bit 1 and was a bit off on how he has been slow to version beta on a platform nearly 5 years I used 7800GTX Athlon 64 4200, as what are you do looks great and moves faster than this in. * Vista. All my old game where _ while people with nearly the same and less spec flight here by so I switched to the 32 bit (good by my 3 extra GB installed) running. It was a little better, but the games that are 3 years old just down or blue screen. SO why go back in the power PC (XBox 360 + dales come to mind) are really trying to kill the power of the pc to the console, PDA etc.? So it seems that XP is the only one for some UM with games, virtual xp mode is a waste. So if you have something good, well, until a better operating system just to please let the people have because we are all put you into your work time back. Please notify.
Hello microblackhole,
I understand that Windows 7 gaming performance do not meet the requirements you're looking for.
I wish to inform you that with Windows 7, you get to use 4 GB of Random Access Memory.
The major problem with your computer, it seems that there are a few old games that break with blue screens.
Windows 7 comes with Direct X 10 preinstalled. So you should try to understand what are the games that are broken.
Here are a few methods that you can analyze the reasons why the games are block:
Compatibility:
Check if the games are compatible with Windows 7. You can run the troubleshoot compatibility utility to discover the solutions to run the games:
1. open the program compatibility problems by clicking on the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting.
2. under programs, click on run programs for previous versions of Windows.
Read this article which will give you more information about this:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-program-compatibility-Troubleshooter
Analyze the event viewer:
I suggest you analyze the event viewer to find what could be causing the crash games.
1. open the start menu and type event viewer in the start menu search bar. Open event viewer from the menu.
2. in the case of Viewer click Windows logs in the left panel.
3. click on application under Windows Logs logs.
4. search for the error messages listed in the event viewer window Central Panel and double-click on the error to check if it log is related to games that are broken.http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer
You can check the link which will help you analyze the entries below Event Viewer:
