Original title: Service pack does not install it.
Hello
I had to restart my laptop (Windows Vista) to factory setting because the system has begun to slow down; I now can't install SP1, it appears on the new & new window updates and downloads in a few minutes. Although it does not install correctly.
I still can not download Norton because it requires service pack 1.

Save the link and it's also for others to read this post wishing to purchase Service Packs for Vista as long download time saved and you can use them download are a problem or you reinstall your operating system.
If you later reinstall OS and you install the drivers manually install the Service Packs right after OS reinstalled before installing any drivers. You can first install the drivers but it is better Service Packs first as sometimes when you install a Service Pack after the drivers, you can find some drivers do not work and you have to reinstall these drivers.
For people using the original image, your drivers are already installed then install Service Packs just after the factory restore before installing applications or devices or download Windows updates.
Service Packs using immediately also save hundreds of download of the updates of Windows first of all that all updates to the top until the release of Service Packs are included.

Without the logs that TaurArian asked at the base only troubleshooting steps that we might suggest would be these two:

Hello
I have a laptop of old P750 for 2 months, after they need to do a restore to a disk upward, I now get the above error.
I then decided to do a cover of toshiba with a clean install and still get the same result of windows update is not not able to connect to the server.I tried everything I can find this error, including the verification of the proxy settings for WU, reset the proxy via CMD prompt settings.
I noticed something interesting while control validation using microsoft MGA diagnostic tool, where windows has been listed as a hat, but note some reports as:
Validation code: 0
LegitCheckControl: N/a, hr = 0 x 80070002
signed: n/a, hr = 0 x 80070002My understanding is the way to 0 x 80070002 he couldn't connect identical to WU or that files are missing.
I have rebuilt that recommended such c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution records, turned off all firewall, removed antivirus / software malware but still no luck.
It seems funny how the same thing happens even after a clean drive toshiba recovery.
Any suggestions?

Windows update error 0xC1900101 8.1 0 x 30018.
Original title: Windows update error 0xC1900101 8.1 0 x 30018... it's annoying please help.
I know there are already a lot of posts on this subject and I have read some good but I still can't upgrade my desktop computer. Finding this very irritating that the update is now available for about 10 months and is still problematic, however I'm still hopeful. Now, my office is a house system, which I assume is part of the problem, but I'm going to go.
My machine specifications are as follows:
Motherboard ASUS sabertooth x 79 CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT Intel Core i7 - 3820 RAM
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2x4gb) (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8) GFX card ASUS GTX650 TI boost 2 GB SSD Samsung 840PRO series 256GB HARD DRIVE Western Digital Black 1 TB POWER SUPPLY EVGA Supernova NEX750G Hard drive ASUS BW-12B1ST Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Logitech G500 Now, some posts I read that I met a lot of different answers. some variant of not enough power available from the power supply, others say it is probably just an accessory you attached. My last attempt to update, I uninstalled everything that wasn't on the list of compatible Windows 8.1 Upgrade Assistant of the report, and I mean everything that was not listed as well as things that were listed as being incompatible. Of course, I got to the stage where it became ready devices and failed at about 50% or more. The time at which its failed summer seems to be different, I remember some time ago an attempt he got to 90% and then failed. This is the final part of the latest update, maybe someone can help give a sense.

Get Windows Update, error: 80070490.
Original title: Get Windows Update errors
I have a Samsung NP350V5C-S09AU.
I did a restore (full reset/factory setting) due to a previous issue in which I can not enter safe mode and start windows because of the failure in updating graphics driver (managed to do a complete reset via advanced startup).
After the restoration of the system, I used SW Update to download the drivers first then checked and installed the windows updates. I ignored the prompt to reboot the PC SW update because I waited for the restart of the PC of Windows Update service prompt (that's what I before I did a restore and even managed to safely update to windows 8.1).
After the reboot, it doesn't seem to be anything wrong (showed the usual for update and other progression). Then I reopened it SW Update again to search for any other driver updates, met a little a problem to update driver Bluetooth but has managed to install it successfully. However it does not appear to update to 2.0.0.7x 2.0.0.38 'settings', then I felt that I should just give 2.0.0.38 until I have install more updates to the window.
Before you install any other updates, I checked windows update history and find facilities failed (error 80070490); I went and did a few things such as troubleshooting and SFC scans via admin cmd.
Troubleshoot has trained and found "Windows Update components must be repaired" and "Find files missing or corrupted", both correction has been marked as fixed (auto-fix option). I ran out again to double check if it has been set, but even after several times, it shows the same results of these two issues have been found, but attaches.
SFC scans by admin cmd has led, in a first step, "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and managed to repair their." Details are provided in convertible bonds. Newspaper %WinDir% \Logs\CBS\CBS.log. ». I used troubleshoot and always found the same errors as above and ran Scan SFC, where this time it gave rise to ""Windows Resource Protection did not find any breach of integrity. "."
How to deal with these issues because I intended to install the last update immediately and upgrade to windows 8.1 like last time. These questions/problem makes me doubt made more updates up to now since it's the first time I get / these errors/problems.

Hello
According to the Microsoft Knowledge Base, it has something to do with your Internet connection. Have you already checked the Microsoft Knowledge Base?
Microsoft recommends disabling the security software (antivirus and firewall) and try the troubleshooting Windows Update tool as described here:
