  I can get on the net fairly easy, with constant interruptions at various times, but my Toshiba L35-262 ceased to receive Windows updates including convenience store updates in July 2010. Tried to reinstall to factory settings, but although history records an update from this date no other updates are received. The problem is diagnosis error 80072EFE by my software.   With regard to 7200LE, to create shortcuts to items in the control panel (those that allow shortcuts - not all are available and very few subdirectories have this option), right-click on the Panel element and click on create a shortcut and move it to the desktop (or) - if it doesn't automatically go.   If this option is not shown for the item you want a shortcut could not be created unless you know the path and the name of the element - and then you can right-click on the desktop and click on create a shortcut and make the shortcut from scratch, knowing the target location.  If the parameters are in a program, then right click on the executable file of the program and click send to and then click on shortcut (Desktop).
