Windows Update is broken; Upgrade Windows 10 fails

So I did a few puzzles for a while. After discovering a driver which prevented my upgrade of Windows 10, I made the installation of ISO and ended up with a computer that had no compatible driver.

Actually, this problem can be my laptop (ThinkPad X130e Windows renovated 7) is simply not compatible with windows, I noticed that Windows Update continues to say that it is impossible to install the important updates while the system uses certain services not matter what I do. I tried:

-Restart

-Reboot from a clean boot (in accordance with the procedures of Microsoft)

-Flush out the Windows Update C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution files

-Rename files of the said

-Deletion of records of such

Is not a question, the question remains the same and I can not install my updates.

Please note that from this moment, I don't have that 11 updates Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2. Not a SINGLE update was done on my computer, so what makes the attempt to installing Windows 10, when returning to Windows 7, it proceeded to abolish all my updates hard and left me with a computer vulnerable and partially useless.

What am I supposed to do? Run a new installation? It stands at the moment, I'm once again... but I'm pretty frustrated broadly and unstable Windows Update was for my laptop Lenovo.

Please run the Windows Update Troubleshooter:

Please provide details of any problem it reports as not fixed.

Method 2: Temporarily disable any security software.

  • Windows Defender and the malicious software removal tool not doing anything to protect against malware, why Windows Update keep harassing upgrade us on a regular basis?

original title: WHY Windows Update keep up to date USELESS of Windows Defender and installation USELESS malware remover?

I'm a computer technician who makes a TON of virus remove money from Windows computers.  Two-thirds of my tasks of repair involving the elimination of viruses from Windows and trying to fix the Internet Explorer, the worst browser known to humanity.

I have a question about Windows Defender and the malicious software removal tool.  These are two programs entirely worthless, evidenced by the fact that computers with them installed still get infected of all viruses, Trojan and rootkit out there.  Clearly, if these two programs of malware Microsoft has done anything to protect your computer, it would have been without having to release still a THIRD tool antivirus, "security essentials" for Microsoft.   I'm not complaining — the way Microsoft Windows absorbs malware like a sponge, put a lot of money in my bank account. Please keep doing what you're doing... however...

My question is, given that Windows Defender and the malicious software removal tool doing nothing to protect against malware, why Windows Update keep harassing upgrade us on a regular basis?

Windows defender is not an antivirus program, it is designed to protect against spyware.

    Are you ready?

How are your backups?  Made sure your consistent data (just the things important to you) backups are working correctly and can be restored from?  What your support installation and key product / series number backups - all that sorted and easily accessible?

Have you checked, while visiting with the manufacturer of your system and the manufacturers of the software, you use most on your computer, all what you have/use/want to use are supported by said manufacturer with 10 windows and discovered that, instead, you need to do to continue the use of a stringer of such things after the upgrade?  Some device drivers upgraded, you need to download?  A software patch?  Uninstall the software before upgrading to Windows 10 and install it once the upgrade is complete?

You have refined a method of execution to a COMPLETE PICTURE of the right SYSTEM backup before you start the upgrade?  After all the upgrade to Windows 10 Windows 7/8.1 could be likened to move coverage while stand you on it - so it is quite complex and has its risks.  Backup offline during the upgrade (and external) media image full system is a VERY good backup plan in case something goes wrong or - you don't like it.

You might even want to clean this system some current, make sure * it * is as healthy as it could be before attempting to upgrade.  An efficient and up-to-date system is more likely to result in a smoother experience for an upgrade is as broad as this...  You could look through this previous conversation where I suggested someone clean up their system before the upgrade:

I changed a few files backup and deleted files on the backup drive and think that this is related to the problem.  I need to know how to recreate the "cliché".

Now, even if Essentials said it removed, I still see this file in the directory, so I removed it manually. I have not tried to restart the backup with Essentials, but can pretty much guess that it will work. Otherwise, it must at least point people in the right direction on how to fix this problem permanently.

Copies MSDN work very well - until Microsoft discovers that they have been used in a way not scheduled (they are sold by unscrupulous people who probably to sell at an attractive price in comparison to other copies - a lot of people don't care about questioning why they might be cheaper.)  Others may sell at the same price and make more money before disappearing).

What operating system do you have on the laptop before? You can get a Windows 8 upgrade for that - but I would not honestly - recommend it because the difference is quite obvious and you haven't checked your software and hardware is supported on Windows 8, I know. My recommendation for Windows 8 is to use * if * the system you have came from the manufacturer with it pre-installed. :-)
