Windows Update is stuck on the screen check updates for more than an hour.
Original title: Windows Update problems
I just got a new update for Windows 7 and got all my drivers installed. However, Windows Update is stuck on the screen check updates for more than an hour. Everything works except that, and I don't know how to fix it. It has updated two things: the Windows Update Agent 7.6.7600.320 and update for Windows (KB958488). He continues to seek constantly and never find anything.
Please leave for 5 or 6 hours and if he doesn't find anything:
Please run the Windows Update Troubleshooter:

Please provide details of any problem it reports as not fixed.

Windows update takes more than 3 hours
I have a new laptop with windows 7, it began to be updated on its own with 35 updates and its been over 3 hours and said not to shut down the computer, also says its configuration. I stopped it and when I turned it back on the same screen
I have the same problem and lasts 3 hours, and I'm still waiting! If I have a notebook, turn the power off and must leave, how do I stop the process? I have to write my linux server because my new machine with win 7 does not work, turn not turned off and I can unplug or stop. any solution? (an acceptable)
The update process will take as long as it takes unfortunately. A major upgrade starts when you have sufficient time to undertake the task.

MY iPad has been verification of update of the new version of operating system for 3 hours. Unable on camel back or cut off the power supply. What should I do? o
Try a forced reboot. Hold down the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (the first) > and if there is an update, delete. Then go to settings > general > Software Update and try again.
If that doesn't work, try updating through iTunes on your computer.

Laptop is blocked at the installation of 10 out of 17 Updtes for more than three hours
Laptop last night quit unexpectedly. This morning when I started the machine, it was locked to the installation of 10 of the 17 updates for more than three hours. I tried to turn off the machine, but I still get the same message. How do I get this at the end to restart properly
Hello1. remember you number updates that have been installed?First check to see if there are external devices attached to the computer, if so remove and check.
Method 1.
Let us run repair system at this stage, it might solve the problem.
See the following articles for additional help and steps on startup repair.

Note: When the diagnosis is complete, don't forget to reset your computer to normal startup. Follow step 7 in the above article.Method 3.I recommend you to restore system using a Windows 7 DVD.Here's how:
To open the Options menu system recovery using a system repair disc or a Windows 7 installation disc
If your system is damaged and cannot access the menu system on your computer Recovery Options, you can access it using the Windows 7 installation disc or a system repair disc previously.
To use this method, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the disk.
a. Insert the disc.
b. restart your computer using the power button on the computer.
c. If prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
o If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer.
d. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
e. If you are using the Windows installation disc, click on repair your computer.
f. Select the Windows installation you want to repair, and then click Next.
g. in the System Recovery Options menu, click a tool to open it and then choose the system restore and check.
If we are able to boot to the desktop now, I would ask you install the updates one by one andcheck the update is at the origin of the conflict.I hope this helps.Kind regards

I upgraded from Vista home premium to Windows 7, you use an Acer upgrade pack, I have an Acer 6935 G. Yesterday, the upgrade is stuck at 18% during the 'gathering of the programs and setting files. I left it overnight to see it was still on the same section but had reached 88 percent. Its now been stuck at this point at least 10 hours (do not know where it has reached this point last night so it could be longer than 10 hours).
I am a novice with computers so don't want to stop the upgrade to halfway through, I do not know the consequences could be, but what I can do? THE SUMMER IS GOING FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS! He could go to 24 others. I tried to get on the Microsoft technical support, but my product key was not recognized? and it would have cost £47 to pay for the support!
It's very frustrating, I am at my wits end but I can't find any help for this specific problem.
Thanks for the help everyone, has been flooded with tips, really very good to everyone.
In frustration, I opened and closed the CD tray with instantly invites him to work again. If someone falls on a similar problem, they might try the trick that the laity were to formulate itself despite dark and sincere call for help.

A frozen (for more than an hour) when installing Win7 updates
During the installation of updates during a restart, IQ506 froze, although few 'circle' still rotating, for more than an hour so far. Message says not to put off, but nothing happens. Where should I go from here, if I am not in power down?
A few times just to give up and put off, I look at the HD indicator, if it goes 30 minutes without blinking I give him a strong power off, if the HD is flashing I will usually let it run all night

I was sent here from my previous post as they said it was a windows problem. Laughing out loudin any case, I think I could have solved the problem. I changed the send/receive settings. In the file-> Options-> advanced. In the Send/received subcategory, click send/receive.Here, I've changed schedule a shipment / automatic reception from 30 minutes to 10 minutes. This seems to keep the connection with the assets of the Exchange Server.Kind regardsChris -
