  • Error: 0 x 80280006 so that he tried to update to Windows Live Essentials 2011

    Computer: Compaq Presario PC

    Model: SR5130NX

    Version of Windows: Vista

Problem: I know exactly what I did to cause this: I would open Windows Live Movie Maker and it asked me to update to Windows Live Essentials 2011. I started to let that happen, but then I thought, ' wait, maybe I should cancel this update and check to see if there is already a newer version (for example, '2012') of Windows Live Essentials "(I had no idea at the time where it's the only version of Windows Live Essentials, should I use for Vista). So I cancelled the update and that's where I made my mistake. He canceled for me and said something along the lines of "it may be a problem with one or more of the programs (such as). Now, if I try to open Windows Live Essentials to start the update, I just get the same message on my screen: a small box entitled, circle of "Windows Live Essentials 2011"with a big red with a white 'X', then to the right of which the title, 'You are installing other programs' there." Then he says below, "Please wait until all other programs are finished installing and then try again." Under the heading 'Détails' he said, "You cannot install, uninstall or repair Windows Live programs while other programs are being installed." Under this sentence: "error: 0 x 80280006" and below, "Source: in_use.

I tried Applications already in the control task manager and nothing related to my problem. I also checked the other answers here to questions similar to mine, but they do not seem to solve my specific problem. Someone will show you please how to undo me, step by step, this problem so I can get the necessary (s) update for Windows Live Essentials 2011 and start making movies with Windows Live Movie Maker? If you can send me to my normal email address: rather than my old, , which would be extremely useful. Thank you.

  • How are updates to Windows Live Mail generated?

I downloaded Windows Live Mail shortly before I upgraded to Windows 7.  This has worked like a charm and copied on everything from Windows Mail.
Now I wonder how updates are handled.   My Windows Update is configured to do the Windows updates only.  If there is an update for Windows Live Mail, I will get it with this setting?
I don't want to change my settings, if I can avoid it because I not updated from Microsoft products, I do not use.
    Thank you.

If you are using Win7, Microsoft Update is your source of default update. As long as give me updates in the same way I receive important recommended updates is enabled, you will be offered updates for Windows Live Mail Security and others installed Windows Live applications.

If a version update of Windows Live Mail or any other installation Windows Live application is available, you will need to update manually via http://download.live.com/ or live.com application-specific page.

  • Windows Update does not show a "platform Update", which is what I have to download Windows Live Messenger, where can I get the update of the platform?

Well Im trying to download Windows Live Essentials, basically just the Messenger because MSN gave me problems and I had to keep re - install, now it says I need the update of the platform. I checked Windows Update and looked for anything that involved in the update of the platform and found nothing. So I'm quite confused, can someone help me?

The update of the Vista platform consists of four updates KB971512, KB97513, KB971514 and KB960362.

It should be installed through Windows Update.

  • Download Windows Live Essentials, Source of error: 0x8007064c: LanguageSelector64

I had been running a trial version of Windows 7 for a while, everything works fine bar the irritating pop-ups telling me Windows was not authentic (I had acquired the OS said it was authentic, but turns out just to be a trial).

Ran Windows Live Messenger very well, until a logon attempt he informed me that I had to update with the latest Windows Live Essentials download to complete. Accepted with alacrity, but the download was greeted with an error message. Went to run Messenger but all traces of it seems had disappeared from my computer. So, I have directed to the WLE site to download the latest version of Messenger, but was again met with error messages. For each error, I had I searched the internet to try to find the cause, through all the tips on various Microsoft forums, the unofficial forums, all sorts of pages. The variety of errors now seems to be reduced to just one:

    Could not stable programs

Could not install these programs: Messaging, Messenger

    An unknown error has occurred.

    Error: 0x8007064c

    Source: LanguageSelector64

This is the only error that doesn't work there doesn't seem to be advice for everywhere I looked. I invited friends, a memory error message similar source the only solution for which he found was a full computer reformat, something I would rather avoid!

Ask for advice here, as I don't know where else to run, hoping someone at Microsoft will be able to offer some as nothing else worked!

What whatsoever would be appreciated, and I'll try to provide more details as requested.

  • Windows Live Essentials 2011

I have problems with the installation of Windows Live Essentials 2011.  I removed all old Windows Live applications after having setbacks with the push of Windows Update of new applications and the applications of former work no longer works.  I tried installing Windows Live Essentials 2011 several times.  None of the applications are currently working.  When I go to the Windows Live folder under the bubble to start, the record shows "empty".  When I try to access links in the support forum, via windowslivehelp.com, I get the following message: "There was an error in processing your request" in 6 languages with a title that says Windows Live Solution Center.

Please indicate what measures are needed to remedy this.
