Windows Update lost his place when internet is reconnected

I would like to know why this happens, because my selected updates are unchecked.

hostile,.
If you mean that you open Windows Update and access the list of available updates and select some updates, and then you cancel the search and when you get back on the page, he came back to the default selections.  It is by design.  If you make selections and then start updates and lose internet connectivity, it will also default selections once you manage to reconnect.

  • Windows Update error code 8E5E0147 when installing KB968930 update

I have windows vista and when I try to install update KB968930, I get the Windows Update error code 8E5E0147. Nothing seems to fix this error. Any suggestions?

    Hello

There could be various reasons for the updates to fail. No matter what security software installed on the computer may crash or services related to the programs installed on the computer. Also if there are corruptions in the files\folders related to Windows updates.

Reset update components would actually try fixing the part of corruption by recreating these files and also to re-register the files necessary .dll (Dynamic Link Library).

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/968930

Some users corrected this problem by resetting the components of windows updates. Try these steps and check the result.

Temporary disable the firewall/security settings and check if it makes a difference.

  • U410 - cannot connect after Windows Update after restore factory when the time zone is not UTC-8.

    Steps to reproduce the error:

1 use OneKey recovery to restore the initial factory settings.

    2. on the initial setup of Windows screen, select a time zone to UTC - 8, UTC (London)

    3. connect to Windows, open the Windows Update control panel and click on "Install updates"

4 restart the computer to complete the update.

    5. on the login screen, try to connect or shutdown the computer.

    Result:

Computer is blocked with the only desktop wallpaper and mouse pointer visible. Does not meet all the keys. By pressing the power button sleep machine. Press again on he wakes the machine in the blocked State.

I have reproduced this problem 3 times for initial help restore every time.

    Wordaround:

Before starting the factory restore processes, set the clock of system by 24 hours. After the end of the restoration of the factory, set the system clock to the correct time.

Otherwise, wait 24 hours between a factory reset and try to install the Windows updates.

    Analysis:

This problem is caused because of the way that Windows stores time. It assumes that the system clock is set to local time rather than UTC. When you use the OneKey recovery system he doesn't know what time zone of the system clock is set on, and so it assumes that it is set to UTC - 8. If it is in fact the UTC value, OneKey Recovery creates files with a time stamp of 8 hours in the future. This causes the Windows Update to fail.

One step that I forgot to mention, that may be important:

After the installation of the plant, during the initial configuration screens, I updated the time zone GMT London.

Since the OneKey recovery uses GMT - 8, this can cause some files to have a timestamp of 8 hours in the future. Maybe if I waited 8 hours before the update of this problem would not occur. I'll test this by setting the clock system for 1 week in the past, make reset factory and then it retroactively to the correct date before the update.

EDIT: Test successfully. This workaround works.

    Hi cmaag,

Thank you for using answers Forum.

There is not a way to uninstall Internet Explorer 7 I know.
Is there an error message that you can post on this forum?

What happens when you try to update?

I suggest to use the System File Checker to search for missing and corrupt files that can cause the problem.

The tool File Checker system to determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search .
    2. Right-click cmd in the programs list and then click run as administrator .

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click continue

    3. At prompt command, the following line, and then press ENTER:

  • My cursor seems to lose his place when typing

When I respond to an email comes from an email or create any Office document, my cursor gets LOST! I type and then even when I type, nothing appears on my screen. I have to move my cursor of mouse back to the line where I was typing, left-click on the location and then I can continue to type and see what I type. This happens all the time and it started about 5 months ago. At first I ignored it. But then I started to change my keyboard and mouse and then restarted in insterad Windows XP in Windows 7. He disobeys in Windows XP, and if I plug my mouse PS-2 using Windows 7, it is not the case. I changed my mouse - I use a USB mouse wireless MS 6000 but I also tried to use a wired USB laser mouse, but this does not prevent this problem. I contacted Microsoft, but they have no knowledge of this problem. I even wrote to Guru who writes the weekly column in the Houston Chronicle, and he has never heard of this problem. Any suggestions? My computer is a computer desk, self made with Windows 7 Premium Home, 8 GB of memory, two hard drives, each with its own operating system (XP on my backup and Windows 7 on my primary) and all of the updates for the two operating systems.

I'm having a similar problem that you are, but it is not a problem with the mouse. I can type just fine in Word & online by using the mouse.

But when I go to write an email, the cursor disappears and my screen freezes. I have to click on the scroll right bar down so he could reappear! And sometimes, it is still frozen (no cursor) & I have to keep clicking on the scroll bar, alternating between her & clicking on the email I'm writing!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated because it is a very frustrating problem!

    Thank you in advance!

  • Firefox has lost his mind when it comes to the upgrade - at least when it comes to Flash Player. What is broken?

Until the 2 versions of flash player back, everything worked fine. A new version came out of Adobe, I'd say go come and upgrade, it updated, I restarted Firefox and everything worked.

Now, it takes 3, 4 or more attempts to upgrade from Adobe. Think Firefox I'm using LINUX now, when I don't know how ON 'linux '. So I change this and download the "correct" version Then which ends and gets stuck on this screen with MECHANISM of EXIT NO OBVIOUS: "Hey Buddy!" you want to buy a subscription to the PAINT BOX ONLINE AND more LIGHT (or somesuch). The only apparent choice is to click on the button BUY. I have to close the window.

Now I'm back to the screen telling me that I have an out of date version dangerously Flashplayer: mozilla

    Check your Plugins
Keep your plugins up to date help Firefox run safely and smoothly.

Well, update plugins more that I don't even know broke. Now, I get an error message saying it can't install because JAVA is dangerously obsolete. Well, it ISN'T. I have updated more than 2 versions of ADUBBY FLUNK PLANER... Sorry... adobe flashplayer... upgrades to the back. Firefox is now pretty useless, because what worked fine JAVA 1-1/2 hours don't work not b/c JAVA is "obsolete". But, curiously, the control and setting plugin to update screen does not say something on this issue. Just this snail unlucky player.

I love firefox. I have always used and chose not to use MSIE above and "chrome". Now, it seems, I have no other choice than to use either of the couples.

Oh Yes. I re-install Firefox and V.35.0.1 running.

    Try this link

  • Windows update error code 80070005 when checking for updates

I was getting updated with no problems on a clean install of Windows 7 Pro x 86.  After I installed MS Office 2007 Pro and other software.  I clicked on search for updates and I get the red box error "windows can not find the new updates" error found Code 80070005 I am logged in as a user with Admin Access.  I disabled Norton AntiVirus...    When I click view update history, it is empty, even though I've updated several times.

    Hi Willaton,

The 80070005 error means usually you do not have permission appropriate to run the update.

You could disable your anti-virue and malware/spyware protection temporarily to see if they are in conflict with the update installation program.

If this does not work, I suggest you log in to the account administrators integrated and update from there. To connect to the administrator account

    1. Click Start, right click on computer, then click on manage.

    2. expand local users and groups, and then click the users folder.

    3. right click on the connection of the administrator, and then click Properties, then remove that checking the account is disabled.

You can now restart the computer and log on to the administrator account and try the update again.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • 13 Windows updates fail to configure when installed manually, one at a time

I just bought this gateway DX4375 a couple of weeks with pre-installed Windows 8 and had 86 important to install updates. Whenever I tried to run the update, they could not set up and took hours to undo changes.

I've refreshed the operating system reset a couple of times and even including erase the disc without success after trying to fix the problem with all of the recommendations of Microsoft.

Finally I tried to install them all manually one at a time. 13 (attached) of them would not move because he could not set up and kept breaking the updater. Some of them even caused the update history to be wiped and all downloaded updates deleted.

I ran to the resolution of the problems of updating to correct errors, but they would still not set up. Even with the updates that are successful the updater is often broken and requires repair. Components Updater tool finds errors, but is unable to correct all automatic reset of Microsoft running. (attached)

DISM.exe/online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth ran, /Restorehealth Cleanup-image DISM.exe/online and SFC scan does not. I can't update Windows 8.1 because there was no product key supplied with the gateway DX series desk top and updates failed is KB2871389 (the update needed to store) that fails to configure.

Thanks Vijay, but if you take the time to read my post that you will see that I tried many scans including SFC on more than one occasion. When I finally got the 8.1 update win with the help of Microsoft problems disappeared.

Measures to check the application event log:
