  • Windows updates not working not - code error 0xC800042D whenever I try

When I try to update I get error Code: 0xC800042D - I was able to do some updates, but now it gives me this error code every time.  I'm not a computer expert - I just want to update.  I use the feature Microsoft Fixit and he "fixed" the problem but still get the same error message.  What should I do to get the updates short of hiring a "programmer/geek-type of person" to reorganize my computer? I have no further details - simply put: How do the Windows updates to rework?

    Hello

    1. What is the name of Microsoft Fixit are you referring to?
    2. Are you aware of any recent hardware or software on the computer changes before this problem?
    3. You are able to access the Internet?

Try the method provided in the article below and check after each method:

If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. Warning to disable Firewall: You should not turn off Windows Firewall unless you have another firewall is enabled. Turning off Windows Firewall may make your computer (and your network, if you have one) more vulnerable to damage caused by worms or hackers.

Note: once you have completed the steps, make sure that you turn on the firewall and reactivate the antivirus in order to avoid the risk of infection by the virus.
