Windows Update, offering the same updates

Hello

I am running Windows Vista Home premium 64-bit
I did a factory of my computer reset today and have been involved in the update of windows for some time now.
I am facing two problems with windows update:
1 - the first is that Windows update keeps giving me the same important updates 3 over and over
-Internet Explorer 8 for Windows Vista for x 64 systems
-Update for Windows Vista for x 64-based systems (KB971029)
-Windows Search 4.0 for windows Vista x 64-based Systems (KB940157)
It has been the installation of the updates successfully and I get the green icon in windows update, but after 'check updates', I always get the same updates.

I tried to pass by the troubleshooting suggested to this page on renaming the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution, but with no result... http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_other-windows_update/Windows-Vista-keeps-wanting-to-install-the-same/4ca85f08-73e3-4A4B-B1FF-f3747fcf945e
2. via the properties of my computer, I see that I have Service Pack 1
Given that windows update will not provide Service Pack 2, I downloaded manually via the Download Center and tried to install it. but I get a message saying that the Service Pack 1 is installed.
Please help me and thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply,

However, the computer has a hardware problem that required me to reformat the first time is when the issue of the update happened, I had to solve the problem and again the reformat...
I have corrected the problem and that's good
Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Vista update repeatedly offers the same updates

Successful installation KB2478663 & KB2518870, then a few minutes later was offered the same updates. I installed these 2 updates 20 times, always with success! How can I stop this from happening? This also happens with the new KB 2533523 & 2468871 Ko.

I didn't have that, but I just noticed for the first time in weeks, I don't have updates pending! It seems that something cured my problem so I was away for 5 days?

In any case, I'll see how long this lasts. Thanks for the help.

  • Is to reinstall windows and reformatting the same windows? How can I reformat windows? TQ.

Is to reinstall windows and reformatting the same windows? How can I reformat windows? TQ.

There are essentially two different methods to "install Windows":

    1. a clean install (which is basically all wipes) imply the shape of the disk (or partition).

    2. a repair install (which is supposed to leave all your programs and data intact) does not imply the formatting.

    Yes.

    Not at all.

    N °

If you have Windows 7 with an OEM license agreement (it came pre-installed on the computer is the most likely scenario for this, but you can buy OEM copies so) or you have a license to retail (upgrade or full version) - the way your question is worded is very specific - you * can * install Windows 7 costs/clean on this same system as much as you wish.  A new hard drive won't stop you activation - well that at some point, you need to activate by phone, as opposed to over the Internet.

Now - if the motherboard is replaced and it's licensed OEM and replacement was not that of the OEM that probably set up your computer...  Then you have a problem.

Unless you happen to have a license of Windows 7 retail sales, so it is not related to the computer (motherboard).

  • The SD card is accessible by a BB App and Windows Explorer at the same time?

    Hello

My requirement is that the SD card must be consulted by a BB App and Windows Explorer at the same time. But the BB app I developed is able to access the SD card only when the mass storage mode is turned off. Is this how the BB has designed or is it possible to have some logical coding for this?

    Thank you

    No, this is not possible.

  • install two copies of windows oem on the same computer

Installation of two separate copies of OEM windows 7 on the same computer (an ultimate, a home premium, the two 64 bit) the problem is that I can't hide (do it completely unavailable - mask not only) the first installed OS of each from the second partition (identified as "oem partition") when it is started in the second operating system.

I would like to do to use the ultimate as a main working OS operating system (be able to load up with various applications, databases of workers etc. etc., that once everything is loaded tends to emphasize the system a little (it does not as effectively as I would like).) I would then use the partition Home premium for latency sensitive things. boot between the two and other work is managed by linux (grub 2)

the disks are defined as readers of ahci uefi (couple of ssd for boot/apps/pagefile)

Is it still possible? (even with me having to buy the commercial versions of the os (non - oem), or microsoft is trying to wrest a sort of copy protection scheme

the two disks (main) are set up as follows
/ dev/sda1 to fat32 (for gpt disks) startup (resized to 500 MB of 128)
/ dev/sda2 unknown ms reserved (this is set here as part of microsofts uefi partitioning installation sequence)
/ dev/sda3 ntfs first installation (7 ultimate) operating system

dev/sdb1 unknown ms reserved (see above)
dev/sdb2 ntfs second os install - he actually complains during installation that it cannot install on the partition, but he does it anyway

Thanks in advance for any help

I forgot to add the second installed operating system know the partition indicator 'hide '.

Microsoft has never designed a version of Windows that can hide another version of Windows.  You will need to use a boot improved as Manager:

  • can I use a serial key to install two windows 8 in the same system

If I double boot windows 8 on the same system. for activation, I use the same key for the two installation.
    is this possible?

    Hello

Windows 8 comes with only on product key (license) that can be activated on a computer at the same time. If you want to enable another computer with him, then he must be uninstalled from any other computer first.
The fact above, as I know, the installed on another partition of Windows 8 will become the second computer and unfortunately you can not use the same key.
Hope this helps, good luck :)

  • Help please, LCC does offer the same functionality as Adobe Stratus? How?

    I found in the FAQ:

LCCS provides the same functionality as Adobe Stratus?
Yes.  LCCS offers the same technology as Stratus today for P2P audio and video streaming.  LCCS also offers a developer, framework and hosted service designed for real-time collaboration as well as the ability and the ability to connect RTMP connections with customers RTMFP.

The question is how can connect my existing application in Stratus with you CAC?

I don't want to use LCCS framework, I won't use the RTMFP Protocol as Stratus phone sample video, but in a commercial product, it is possible to supply?

So, if possible, where I point my connectUrl key and developer of stratus in a supply service?

    Thank you very much.

Hey elattanzio, I went through the same thing how you feel when I first tried begin with low-COST airlines.   I wanted to create a connection to peer 2 peer between two applications flash with no server involved.   I also moved the example of Stratus to the LCC.

The short answer is THAT LCCS always uses rooms to connect people.   You can make a direct connection in hand pair using rtmfp in your application.   In this case first of all your users connect to a room on the servers of the LCC, and then they will help you coordinate the rtmfp peer connection as you used with Stratus.   So you end up with all your data flowing between two clients, but both clients are connect to the room in supply.  Your customers must stay connected to companies low-cost for the duration of the video call.    Now if your clients cannot establish a connection to the cause of NAT, firewall or other issues they're going back to rtmp and all traffic will now forward through the servers of the CCA.   You can specify that you do not want your customer to fold well.

One other important thing to understand is the pricing model.   There is an associated cost just be connected to the servers of CAC.   We found it to be nominal if, but just enough to discourage you to stay connected all the time.   This led me to develop our own system based on jabber, precense to see who was online and to initiate calls, etc..   Secondly the cost to say the audio and video traffic is routed through servers to SUPPLY was too high for our business model so we chose to not allow fall to rtmp.  I think that the cost was reasonable based on the costs of bandwidth, etc., our model just could not bear.

So here you'll it's my understanding of things that I agonized about how to get good video chat working in our application.   Yes to peer is not 100% free, but the cost isn't too bad and you get the benefits of Adobe running a cluster of servers for you.   So for us the value was there.   Good luck with the project.
