  • Photoshop crashes and invites you for the Application Manager

Well. I have been using the design standards of my Adobe Creative Suite 6 from 2014. I pay for it and it's mine to use. Today, for some reason when I try to open Photoshop to finish work on some photos of the competition (deadline at midnight), I get a pop up as soon as I click on Photoshop and Photoshop never opens (it just freezes). The pop up says I have to download an application handler.

Why was working perfectly yesterday and today I need an application Manager (even for CS6 and CC). I don't want CC. I talked to a representative and it took 3 minutes to tell me that I had no right to a phone call (us without CC are at the bottom of the list). All I could do is to use the Chat! I did, a person pick up and send me to a long discussion that has nothing to do with my problem.

I am so freaking crazy! I don't understand how they get away with it. Imagine buying a car and after 3 years, the company has put a hold on it, and you cannot start!  It is obsolete!

Tomorrow, I'll send a letter to the company.

  • Strange behavior of Windows Update

Windows Update prompted me 4 updates of today, marked 'important', so I gave the OK to install.

Then she appeared a EULA I had clicks before it would install them. I've NEVER been asked to accept a EULA for Windows Update before, so I'm not sure that its 100% authentic.

The "update" which seems to be spawning EULA is "Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x 64-January 2016 (KB890830)"-If someone can confirm if it is a real update?

I had Malicious Software Removal Tool in updates before, and none of them have EVER prompted me to click an EULA. It's what makes me so suspicious of it.

    Thank you

    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

Under the list of important updates, you can try unckeck each of them and try to install only a single update and observe if the updatae is downloaded.

Also, if you have an antivirus / firewall software installed, try to temporarily disable and observe.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook 15-p119: Windows 10: since the execution of Windows update, I can't connect to the wireless network

    Hello, HP assistance.

I'm having a problem with the connection to my home Wi - Fi network. I am sure the problem has nothing to do with my material and is a problem of Windows only.

Here's the story: I was fortunately with the Internet from the network before and Windows was connecting automatically every time. But since the Windows Update recently it does not connect. Sometimes it says "unable to connect to this network" and then sometimes it comes up with a box asking me to enter a user name and a password. The thing is... I've never set up a password in Windows for Internet access, so I do not know why he was asking me now. I looked around the Internet via my Tablet (which is connected to the same Wi - Fi network fine, with my phone) and found that it is a common problem. And yet, none of the solutions work for me.

I wonder if the solution is somehow change the settings so that a password is not required to connect to a network. Or maybe enter a default user name and password when the box appears again. That said, the box did not come for a while.

    Help, please!

    Thank you for your query.

I understand that your mobile phone works well and you didn't have any problems with your wireless connection. After the upgrade to Windows 10, your wireless network is intermittent and will prompt you for a user name and password.

The guest is not the Internet, but rather to join your network. He is looking for the network name and password.

When I did a search for HP laptop 15-p119, I was unable to locate this model. Would you please check your model? How can I find my model number or product number?

After the upgrade to Windows 10 did you all your Windows updates?

Sometimes it fails to be installed automatically, if you can try running the Troubleshooting of windows update. to maybe gain others.

You run the HP Support Assistant since the upgrade?

If the problem persists, once you have established a test of Wi - Fi automatically update drivers Device Manager wireless.

    • Right click on the Windows button in the bottom left corner, then choose Device Manager

    • Click network to expand the list

    • Right click on the wireless adapter and choose put updated driver

Select "Automatically search for updated driver software" this month may start a download to install a newer driver.

  • Fix for common problems associated with Windows Update repeatedly trying to solve the same problem

When the machine running Windows Update on a Windows XP Professional (SP3 with IE8), the information for the download of the ActiveX bar does not appear. Tried to run the Fix for "Common problems with Windows Update" and it says "Windows Update components must be repaired. Difficulty-it short, reports of success, "Found Themes" saying "one or more components of Windows Update are configured incorrectly". However, still unable to download updates from the information bar does not appear. Repeating the difficulty happens with exactly the same problem i.e. reports etc. but no success still can not download the ActiveX on Windows Update since the information bar never shows up.

At tried all the suggested solutions I can find for the reported similar problems such as checking the downloads ActiveX security settings, reset Internet Explorer settings, and even resetting Windows Update (Articlce ID 971058) components. Still no luck. Therefore, I am unable to manually check and download updates of Windows security.

Otherwise my PC works well. Norton Internet Security is installed but did not prevent Windows Update to work on another PC I have. The information bar appears sometimes for other downloads, and it doesn't seem to be a problem on the Windows Update page.

Please can you help. Thank you.

No, I'm not not first uninstall IE8 (or IE7) before proceeding with the repair facility...

Long history, technical, short version: do not uninstall IE8 (and/or IE7) before doing a repair installation (Windows XP only!) leaves the two Internet Explorer and Windows in a State of "confused" or "broken". Your only recourse now is a clean install of Windows (after backup your personal data).

No, another repair facility won't solve the problem - even if you uninstall IE8 beforehand.

Follow the instructions in this post of mine in another forum (to-the-letter & in order! ) to restore your computer to a State safe & functional: http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=44636

If you need additional assistance with the clean install, please start a new thread in this forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-system

Note: The computer must NOT be connected to the internet or local networks (i.e. other computers) in its current state. All your personal data (e.g., banking online & passwords credit card) must be considered at risk, if not already compromised.

Wish I had better news for you.  Good luck!

PS: So that registry cleaners can solve some problems (temporarily, at least), they are not & cannot fix what caused the problem. Compare to treat a broken leg with a stick and a couple of BandAids.

  • My "windows update" says he can not search for new updates-error code 80070002. Help, please. Thank you!

I already tried ideas to stop the Windows Update Service, removal of temporary files to update and restart the Windows update service.

    Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
Follow these methods mentioned below and check.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to check if you are able to access Windows Update service and ensure that the following services are started. If it is not started, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, type services.msc without the quotes and press ENTER.
    b. search Windows Update.
    c. right-click on the service and select Properties.
    d. in startup type, select Enable.
    e. Click Start under the service status.
    f. click OK.
Repeat steps c through f for the following services:
    Background Intelligent Transfer Service
    Cryptographic services
If the steps do not help to solve the problem, you can go ahead with the methods mentioned below and check.
    Method 2:
Your anti-virus software is in conflict with Windows updates. You can test this by temporarily disabling your antivirus software. Check out the following link.
    Disable the antivirus software
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software
Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
    Method 3:
The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working
    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_update/
    Method 4:
I suggest that you try to perform the SFC (System File Checker) scan on your computer and check if the problem persists. Read the following article.
How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking.  Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive.  If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

As for the "Changes" problem that I have no real solution for this, only that you remove every bit of desktop of your machine and everything don't reinstall desktop applications you need.  It could be a corrupted registry which is behind this problem.
