    * original title - installed more 15 000 updates this morning. Since I use the automatic updates why so many people at the same time? *

    Hi people,

Is the number of '15000' you see on a black background with the logo of Windows on it? If Yes, then it is just part of the update process. It refers the number of files that are being updated on your system. Normally you would see that the screen but if your computer installs updates, then is not a good stop to install (for example: If you a loss of power or power off your computer), then you will see this screen with the black background, the next time that you start.

There should not be any cause for alarm, especially if your update history shows the updates installed successfully.

  • WINDOWS CALENDAR DOES NOT WHEN THE COMPUTER TURNS

    Hi guys:

I'm having a problem with Windows Calendar. In the past, when I had an appointment for a date, the calendar would turn on automatically to remind me, as soon as I turned on my computer. Recently, this has changed. Now, I can always make an appointment, but if I'm not manually in calendar, it will not attract me, the way that it used to. Obviously the parameters have changed. I don't have any idea on how to solve this problem. Can you guys please help?

    Sincerely,

    Rachael

    Hi Rachel,

To do this, you'll want to schedule in your startup folder so that it works even when the computer starts.  Here's how.

    1. Press + R to view the race box.  Type : startup of the shell and click OK to open the startup folder.
    2. Open your menu start, find calendar and drag it into the startup folder.

You are finished.  Now, it runs automatically when you connect.

  • How to control the Windows updates are installed on the Windows Surface of RT

I recently had to perform a refresh to solve the problem with desktop on the desktop icons that appear as spaces. After the update, I had to reinstall the update for Office 2013. When I went to Windows Update to do this, I found it with a group of 9 other updates, these 9 were all marked as ready for download and installation, Office 2013 update is not checked. I disabled the office 2013 update and not the other 9 updates, thinking that I could make those after I had Office installed upgrading so I would like to know if my taskbar icon problem has been resolved. At the bottom of the screen even when the Office update was the only update checked I chose to install updates. The Surface actually installed all updates, not only the update of Office.

Is there a way to control which Windows updates are installed in fact at some point? Unchecking them made no difference.

  • When updates are performed on the computer, they take a lot of space. Why the ancients are not deleted?

    All updates.

The update uninstall method in Windows Vista is quite different from that in Windows XP.

Uninstaller for each update folder no longer exists in Vista and the uninstall information is stored by the Volume Shadow Copy service.

After each update, Volume Shadow Copy service backup only the updated files.

So with Vista, it's a differential backup, rather than a full backup files for uninstall
    in Windows XP.

This safeguard mechanism is used to save disk space.

  • Windows7 Update icon does not show in the status bar when updates are available

    Hi ALL-

Update for Windows7 (64-bit) detects new updates and works perfectly in manual mode using the function update BUT do not perform the automatic updates or displays the Update icon in the notification bar when updates are available.

It also does not indicate that the present updates to logoff or shut down.

Update icon is the value to display in the status bar and appears when the updates are being installed.  The update log shows something as updates are detected, but are waiting for an administrator to perform notifications.  Record as an administrator doesn't help.

History of the computer: a recent update of Windows 10 has crashed and has been reinstalled Windows 7 pro.  After this, update does nothing, but diagnoses online got going again.

I can live with that but would like if possible challenge.

    Thank you

  • After doing a HP-assisted recovery, when I click on Windows Update, I get a message saying "files required to use Windows Update are longer registered or installed on your computer.

I am unable to open Windows Update Express option, when you click on Express, I get a message saying that "files required to use windows update are longer registered or installed on your computer." I tried both options following the message, with no luck at all. Belarc says that the 125 Microsoft updates are missing. I have Windows XP Home Edition sp2 disk. Suggestions, please.

If xp is always saved, then try to open the internet options settings,

view of objects, search for & R.click on the WU & MU active x objects

(one at a time), select "update", they are part of windows update

Active x, necessary for updates... Express update could be among them

Moreover, however it is not a part of windows...

    Hi donorann,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    ·         Updates (KB numbers) you are trying to install?

    ·         The updates are installed successfully?

View the history in Windows Update in Control Panel window, or go to installed updates:

Open installed updates by clicking the Start button, click Control Panel, click programs, and then under programs and features, click view installed updates.

Follow the steps in the article.
