Windows updates will not be updated
I can't get the windows update updates. I tried to stop and restart services, I tried view it update history to find an update has failed. No update has come at all! I tried the FixIt from Microsoft programs and it fixed two problem. But the recent update can not be installed will not solve! I recently installed the video driver Nvidia GTX 680 M pilot and my screen has an erractic display load up. Sometimes the imagined display the bad resolution, sometimes the colors come in low resolution. I have the proper display after loading windows. I checked the window update log that someone suggested, and it seems that several updates have failed to load. Today is August 17. I I think that the last load of the update on 10 August. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. Can anyone help me get this to fix or do I have to reinstall my Win 7? I want to install updates, so I can spend to Win 10! If you know where I can get 10 Windows without using the uptates to Win, I would be grateful.

I don't have a recovery disc as the laptop does not have a CD-ROM drive or a floppy drive. I have the product key, but I don't know where or how repair the operating system.
Contact the manufacturer of your laptop as there must be a way to restore the computer. There may be a hidden restore partition.

Does anyone know why Windows 8 will not restart correctly on the laptop Satellite P850?
It seems that whenever I have to restart, especially after the installation of an update, it crashes right on the screen of "Reboot" and I usually find myself having to hold the power button down to completely stop and then turn upwards again. Sometimes, I still have to do to make it stop.

Windows 7 will not recognize the dvd drive
Windows 7 will not recognize the dvd drive, although it worked well for more than two years. Now I can't access it to install new software.
It will not be displayed in the Device Manager, bad shooters to say it is not connected or is, tried Fixit fix (could not as "not applicable to your computer update"), uninstall iTunes (in the case of a conflict - even if it worked with the DVD of > 1 year), etc., but still cannot access the DVD.
It's obviously a known issue, given that a support page - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976187 that recommends the fix or manually disable ALPM active power management. If it of a known issue, why is not included in the updates and that I have to disable ALPM power if management it worked ok before?

I bought a 320GB Seagate (7200 RPM) opportunity and I'm trying to install Vista on it. The computer BIOS sees the drive, but loading Vista it does not show the HD as an external drive and ask drivers for it. The disk has been previously formatted for Mac.

Please note that the hard drive needs to be internally mounted inside the computer because Windows Vista will not install on an external hard drive.
