Windows Vista (32 bit) backup

I just realized a rapidespour complete my data files to PC hard drive for the first time, which took more than 3 hours. It's an external hard drive. It could be seen to copy the files on the external hard drive. But when I checked after (while there was a file and separate the hard drive file) was very little data in the file and folder. Leaveing me with the impression that a backup has not been done. I looked through my compturer and windows explore and still very little visible content

A backup is completed successfully or not? If so why can't see its volume etc.

  • Can I upgrade Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows Vista 64 - Bit and preserve everything?

I have a computer with Windows Vista 32 - Bit OS.  I have also 4 GB of RAM, but as the OS is 32-bit, he acknowledges that 3 out of 4 GB.  So, my question is, can I upgrade to a version 64 bit Vista and preserve files and programs, or what I have to buy a copy of Windows Vista 64-bit?

    Thank you

    Hello.

No.; You cannot switch from 32-bit to 64-bit.

It must be done with a new installation of the 64-bit operating system.

There has never been a way to upgrade.

You should backup your data, copy it into the 64 bit OS and reinstall all your programs

    Microsoft sells more than Vista.

And before you buy Windows 7:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Do I need all these programs on this computer?

I made a full recovery from this computer on 04/04/10 and constantly updates are installed. SP2 was installed today. I watched the KB articles and found that some of these programs were not made for this vista. Is this OK to uninstall?

I don't think these programs are duplicates there are has some differences in the size or number of KB?

Short, if it is not correct, answer is that if they went down via Windows updates, then, Yes, you have probably them.

You can confirm this, if you wish, by creating a system restore point, and then uninstall programs.  If Windows Update when it is run manually tells that you need, then I guess you really need.  You use the system restore point to return to the front you have uninstalled, or the download via Windows Update.

  • Windows Vista 64-bit of Windows 7 32-bit update?

    G ' Day,.

I've seen a lot of Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows 7 64 bit upgrade questions, but that the opposite?
I just moved houses, and I think I lost my CD of 32-bit of Windows Vista, but I found my 64-bit of Windows Vista CD and I am wanting to buy Windows 7 Uprade but only to install the 32-bit version.

You can do in the modernization of the place of Windows 64-bit to 32-bit Windows, and vice versa. Its a clean install only. I suggest that you use the Windows Easy Transfer utility included on the DVD of Windows 7 to create a backup your personal files.

  • Satellite P100: Conexant audio only is not supported on Windows Vista 64-bit

Last week, I install new Windows Vista 64-bit system, but not sound. I think it was the problem with the audio driver 64-bit. Is that someone has the new driver for vista 64-bit?

It seems that some devices are not recognized by Vista common drivers that were shipped with the Vista operating system and therefore the new drivers are needed. But because Vista is not official on the market (official start is late January 2007) drivers are not published.

But where did you get the version of Vista 64-bit?

  • Package of added value and Windows Vista 64-bit on Satellite P200

Hello, recently I changed Windows version of 32-bit to 64-bit. Everything works perfectly except PPV.

When I try to install it, it produces an error message that says:

    ID_ERR_NOTINSTALLTVALZ_MESSAGE

I found in some old discussions that I should update my bios, so I downloaded most recent bios, and when I tried to update, the pop-up message that I already have this version.

    I did some research and I found some drivers for the 64-bit version - [link to driver | http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_driver_details.jsp?service=EU&selCategory = 2 & selFamily = 2 & selSeries = 152 & selProduct = 746 & selSho rtMod = null & language = 13 & selOS = 27 & selType = all & yearup load = & monthupload = & dayupload = & useDate = null & mode = al lMachines & search = & action = search & macId = & country = all & selectedLanguage = 13 & type = all & page = 1 & ID = 61866 & DISO = 27 & driverLanguage = 13]
and in the statement, he said that I should
"It's only the driver of value added package for 64-bit computers. Installation instructions: 1. unzip the zip-> 2. Right-click on the "TVALZ_O.INI" file-> 3. After a right-click on the file, choose "Install" from the context menu. »
But when I do that there is an error message that says that this INF file selected does not support this method of installation.
I tried to install it in safe mode, but the error is the same.

Maybe I should put these drivers in a specific location? If Yes, where?
Who can I install everything first? VAP installation for 32 bit, then driver for 64-bit? Or maybe the other way around?

If someone could write me a clear instruction how step by step, I would be really grateful.

Hmm, I wonder about this sentence
    > I've done some research and I found some drivers for the 64 bit version

What is your laptop model number? Have you chosen the right Toshiba VAP for the right notebook series?

If you have chosen the correct drivers (for the right notebook series) then try to copy the extracted files in the folder of Toshiba Value Package added to programs-> Toshiba-> Toshiba Value added Package.

Then try to run the ini file as described on the page of the European driver Toshiba.

    Hello!

What Satellite model do you have?

You cannot install the 32-bit drivers, you need 64-bit. I think 64-bit is not available for a laptop Satellite L but you can search on the Toshiba site:

In addition, you can also search on external Web sites for 64-bit drivers.

    Hello

I have laptop HP HDX which had a sound problem with message of error "Could not play the test tone", tried in several ways by online suggestions and ended to reinstall the new copy with recovery disk. As part of the recovery with a reovery of HP drive, I tried to get it back and it formatted boot partiion and got this error message "error 1002 if the problem persists, please contact HP support. My laptop is out of warranty now.  I talked to HP support and they ask me to buy new drives recovery and someone in this forum mentioned that recovery disk will lift the same mistake and we would need to purchase technical support and even that has not worked for soembody after paying $ 200 to support. I am struck with recovery of the laptop now. I also tried the recovery partition revovering and gave rise to no luck.  I'm now out of warranty.

I am really fedup with bearing on my this laptop windows vista 64 bit HP HDX laptop problems. What is your best suggestion for me to recover my windows vista now?

    Thank you.

    GK

I ordered the drive to restore HP for $ 16 and I have no problem in my OS with this disk recovery. Recovery partition that came with my laptop had this error 1002 and he really tortured than me. It is recovered successfully with this new disc of recovery with on all issues.

  • get the 0x400110020000100b error code while making the recovery of the system for windows vista 32 bit.

    Hello:

See if you can make your own Vista installation disc if you can read the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them one my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, worked flawlessly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-v...

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.
