On my windows vista computer, whenever I turn on my computer and log on, none of my programs work. An error message appears saying that the program has stopped working and windows will try to find a solution to the problem.  The problem is that the help and support center opens either. None of my internet programs to be open, and the same error message for all. We have tried to turn off DEP, and that did not help. My computer is connected to the internet (2wire) but is not able to run due to the problems with my computer. I scanned my computer with windows defender, and we found no problem. Help, please

Method 1:

Step 1: Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

    You need a real antivirus because these are the two antispyware. You have the PCtools antivirus
    on the computer or just their toolbar in Internet Explorer?

  • INSPIRON 1440 - Display Driver Intel Graphics Accelerator for Windows Vista (R) has stopped working

    Sometimes the screen of my computer crashes (turns not blue, everything freezes) and nothing works, not even ctrl + alt + delete.

    Then, after a few minutes pass it says "Display Driver Intel Graphics Accelerator for Windows Vista (R) Stopped working but is distributed.

    Subsequently, the computer works fine. This has happened twice now.

I restored the computer to the last point saved, generated an error "cannot restore', perhaps due to MacAfee, but solved the problem.   Then I disabled the updates for windows, just in case.  Did you anyone has a similar experience lately and was able to locate and solved the problem?

    I've updated for Windows 8.1 over the weekend, it seems to work great so far.

    I just installed an iMicro Bluetooth adapter on my computer, and then I wanted to restart my computer. When I turned it on, loading like regular until right after the Vista loading screen, when the Blue Screen of Death (a blue screen with an error on this subject) flashed for about 1/2 second and then restarted my computer. Then he asked me if I wanted to load startup repair or simply start WIndows normally and I chose to start WIndows normally, but it's the same thing, so when the computer is restarted again, I chose the Startup Repair. He said that if I inserted an external device in my computer for me to remove it. But I had no external devices in my computer at the same time! I already pulled the iMicro adapter! I tried to find help, but could not find anythign useful so far. I installed for many drivers, updates, patches, etc. But none have anything to remove the blue screen of death. Now, after 7 hours, I really frustrated, and this is my last hope! (I don't want to save my hard drive and reinstall, because I paid more than 250 applications and more than 270 free programs on my computer! Of more, more than 350 iPad apps, of which a few are paid! Oh and 700 iBooks!)

    EDIT: The error message went like this:
