Windows Vista and Adobe Reader 6.0CE compatibility

I have download Adobe Reader 9.3, activate it and start the installation. Then appears the message: to continue. Conductor (process Id: 1988) >. What should I do? (Sorry for the bad English)

Whatever Adobe Reader 6.0CE has to do with the problem?  I don't understand the connection.

You must research on this problem in the technical support of Adobe and/or poster group in their forum:http://www.adobe.com/support/reader/ andhttp://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums/adobe_reader.

This seems to be a problem with their software and not with Vista (or you need to explain the problem just a little more clear).

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    Hope these helps.

  • I read on the net that Microsoft may soon fall Windows Vista and stop selling it in 2011?

Windows Vista, however, failed among many people, but it is still a better functioning ever for me. I have read on many places on the campaign 'Save Vista' and Microsoft will drop Windows Vista and to stop selling copies of 2011. But it's unfair. If Windows XP can stay in support of 13-14 years of liberation, why Vista Impossible here. 7 is not suitable on Vista. Windows XP has already remained in support, more than his lifetime and yet unfortunately taken in charge until 2014.

I ask Microsoft, which - "Please don't stop selling Vista and continue to support and get new applications for Windows 7."

This trend is being observed these days, because Vista is given less interest by Microsoft.

    Rannvijay Kapoor

    Hi Rannvijay,

Windows Vista will be supported for 2 years after windows 8 fate (so support will probably end in 6 or 7 years). http://blogs.technet.com/b/lifecycle/archive/2008/03/17/extended-support-for-business-and-developer-products.aspx
all Microsoft will continue to support the vista for this period, probably longer.

If you want to buy another copy of Vista, do so now and store.

  • On a PC using Windows and Adobe Reader, I sent 10 PDF files in a zip file and each label of the PDF file with a number from 1 to 10, so that they appear in the order I want. Numbered 1 to 9 records fell in sequence automatically, but number 10

This is my first time using this forum. I hope that my question made its appearance and that this space is to respond to the answers possible, but just in case, here's my question again:

On a PC using Windows and Adobe Reader, I sent 10 PDF files in a zip file and each label of the PDF file with a number from 1 to 10, so that they appear in the order I want. Numbered 1 to 9 records fell in the sequence automatically, but the number 10 appears under the number 1 instead of below the number 9. I googled the problem, do not see addressed. I called Microsoft, and they said it's a matter of Adobe. If anyone can help I would be grateful.

    Thank you.

Not an Adobe issue at all. If you want your files to a single digit (1-9) to appear before the 10, you must add a zero at the beginning.

My computer is Windows Vista and I pay for Photo Shop CS6, but it will not download. Can I download the CS5 and how?

    Photoshop cs5 is designed to:

    Windows XP with SP3

Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Ultimate or enterprise with SP 1 (P2 S recommended)

    Windows 7

    Photoshop cs6 is designed to:

Processor Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64

Windows XP with SP3 or Windows 7 with SP1

CS6 applications support also Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

    * Video features are not supported on 32-bit Windows systems.

    * 3D features are disabled and some features of mercury from the improved graphics engine may not work with less than 512 MB of VRAM. Read the Help section.

If you just buy CS6, you might be able to get a refund, but Adobe sells more software CS5. Is it possible to upgrade your computer to make it compatible? Here are the system requirements for photoshop:

  • My hard drive went bad so I bought a new. I installed Windows Vista and everything works until I try to install SP1...

As I said in the title, my hard drive went bad on my Dell XPS 420.  I was running 32 bit windows vista service Pack 2 since the last time my hard drive gone bad.  The first time I replaced my hard drive I used the cd of Windows Vista install with cd drivers and using automatic updates of windows.  In a few hours, I had my pc up and running.  But with this record, it's a completely different story.

I did the same thing with her.  Installed Windows and drivers as before and I go ahead and do the automatic updates.  Everything is okay until I get to point when I download and install windows Service Pack 1.  I download, install and it seems to work very well.  Then it restarts to complete the installation and configuration.  After about 30 minutes of this, he finally said service pack error.  Restoration of the changes.  He then takes 30 minutes more to do.  After that, I get a screen saying that Windows does not start.  A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.  Follow-up by telling him to use the windows cd repair section.
I did this 3 or 4 times to do different techniques.  I did it with the automatic windows update.  Manually as an administrator.  After using the analysis tool in Windows Vista and in another way when restore you some files.  I am about to throw my pc because I've probably spent nearly 10 hours of messing around with it and honestly it's not my time unless there is ANOTHER way that deserves to be tried before I "Offices" of the thing.
Honestly, I think I read every article on this subject online.  If I type in service pack 1 and vista online I went to all the links on the first 10-12 pages...
If anyone has AN idea please let me know.  Yes, I would like at the office space that it but it would also be good to have another pc with a new hard drive...
    Thank you.

I got a new computer (an old dies) new a windows vista and I have to disable the old computer before I load the same copy of Vista on my new computer.  If yes how can I do this?

If Vista is preinstalled on your OLD computer, it is classified as an OEM license and is not transferable.

The license of Vista OEM is related to the original computer it is installed on and dies with the computer.
You cannot transfer it to another computer/laptop

If a license of Vista at retail, you can transfer it to another computer/laptop.
But it can only be installed on one computer at a time.

A single license is a single Installation.

If it is a retail Vista license, read the information on the clean install and then reactivate it:
