  I read that some people have said once they have downloaded Service Pack 2, the problem has been resolved, but whenever I try to install this update, Windows tells me she didn't and I can not fix.   I bought my new laptop yesterday and I tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate on it, installation is fine, but when it comes to the "Complete the Installation" part, the screen flashes once and I see the blue screen of death. I know that there are no hardware issues or disc problems.

  The laptop that I bought is a Toshiba Satelittle L50 - B - 11 c and the version of the BiOS is 1.40 if necessary.

  Is it preloaded with an existing version of Windows already?

  You will first need to go to the website of manufacturers for your model computer and first find out if there are native drivers in Windows 7. A large number of computers that are preloaded with Windows 8 have no native driver support for Windows 7 by the manufacturer. If there is no native driver, you will need to consider returning the machine and buying a machine preloaded with Windows 8 Pro with downgrade rights to Windows 7 Professional. Or look through the catalogue of manufacturers for systems already preloaded with Windows 7, usually the business sector will have these options.

  When I try to start up the bios screen appears then it goes to the loading of windows and I get this screen.  At first I thought it was a hard drive failed, but then I took the same hdd from another laptop I had, and it still does the same thing.  I tried to install a new copy of windows from the disc, but when it loads the files and will install I get the same blue screen.  I have reset my bios to the default system, I also physically reset the cmos and still no luck.  I have no idea what to do, I'm stuck.  I tried to go to the F8 boot menu and have used all the options and it always leads to this blue screen.  This may be a hardware failure? • Windows XP blue screen of death... Gateway series LT Netbook

  When I start my gateway LT series netbook, I get to the screen where the Windows logo appears for about 5 seconds, then I get a blue screen for a fraction of a second, not long enough to read the typical start-up error message. Then the process starts all over again, again and again! I have not any hardware or software recently added. The netbook already has Service Pack3 pre-installed when I got it. I already tried to work by pressing F8 and learn to be on a page where I have the option to start my netbook on safe mode. Same thing is happening. I already brought my computer to the gateway service center because I have not had the unit for more than a year. I have already informed its software problems are not included in the warranty. However, I'm pretty on my own on that now. So I pretty much need the help of this irritable community.

  My system crashes after every 15 minutes showing this blue screen error. Since a few days before this error, hard drive, reading ability has been slowed a lot.   Vista/xp have already installed software to transfer the BONES of one HD to another, if youre pc is

  a desktop computer, it's fairly easy. Or, install a new HD to the pc boot, enter the BIOS, install the vista installation cd,

  set pc to boot from the cd (1st boot priority) 2nd HD, save and exit. The installation menu to display, follow

  instructions, select 'format' of the HD and windows will automatically install.

  Or 2nd HD, installing under windows, go in run, type: diskmgmt.msc in msc, R.click on the new hard drive, create a

  partition, use the default settings in the wizard, once thru, re-click, select to format, once through exit msc.

  Back to run, type: XCOPY C:\*.* D:\/c/h/e/k/r are for everyone in the DOS window, once its through, the new

  HD has the old operating system installed. D: is the letter of new HD, if, in light of the others, then use instead... It works

  very well, but with a hard drive faulty, data could not get transferred, or it may be damaged...

  Hi, I hope someone can help me! I have a Dell XPS (410, I believe) running under Windows Vista and commissioning, I get this message on a blue screen:

  A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

  If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

  Check to make sure any new hardware or software is installed correctly. If it is a new installation, ask your hardware manufacturer or software, the Windows updates, you might need.

  If this problem persists, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe mode.

  First of all, I have not installed new hardware or software. The only thing I can think is that maybe Windows has installed an update and it broke.  I tried to reboot in safe mode and get the same error message, so I can't really do anything. I also tried startup repair and which does nothing.

  Its average you have to reinstall the windows or your system restore factory.

  You can install parallel to windows vista.

  Note: In a parallel installation, you won't lose your data, but in the factory restore, you lose.
