I was working at an individual (who will remain nameless) with their computer. Suddenly, unexpectedly, the screen went away and came back with a blue screen! You know where it says 'PAGED_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA '? Nothing has been shown here, and no file name is specified. He did a memory dump, and I still have to study. It is an old system used for web browsing only...

It's probably a Paged fault although it has not been specified. RAM usage was about 85-90% at the time of the accident.

    I read that some people have said once they have downloaded Service Pack 2, the problem has been resolved, but whenever I try to install this update, Windows tells me she didn't and I can not fix. It happens randomly.   • Error on Windows Vista blue screen about crash of hard disk after every 10-15 minutes.

    My system crashes after every 15 minutes showing this blue screen error. Since a few days before this error, hard drive, reading ability has been slowed a lot. When opening a disk or a file, it takes a lot of time compared to the normal fulfilment. After this blue screen, my system goes for a restart, then another error appears as hard drive not found. I use dell Studio and ran the diagnostic system and it too hard disk error found. Is it possible to solve this problem in my old hard drive with new replacement?

    Vista/xp have already installed software to transfer the BONES of one HD to another, if youre pc is

    a desktop computer, it's fairly easy. Or, install a new HD to the pc boot, enter the BIOS, install the vista installation cd,

    set pc to boot from the cd (1st boot priority) 2nd HD, save and exit. The installation menu to display, follow

    instructions, select 'format' of the HD and windows will automatically install.

    Or 2nd HD, installing under windows, go in run, type: diskmgmt.msc in msc, R.click on the new hard drive, create a

    partition, use the default settings in the wizard, once thru, re-click, select to format, once through exit msc.

    Back to run, type: XCOPY C:\*.* D:\/c/h/e/k/r are for everyone in the DOS window, once its through, the new

    HD has the old operating system installed. D: is the letter of new HD, if, in light of the others, then use instead... It works

    very well, but with a hard drive faulty, data could not get transferred, or it may be damaged...

    Hi, I hope someone can help me! I have a Dell XPS (410, I believe) running under Windows Vista and commissioning, I get this message on a blue screen:

    Its average you have to reinstall the windows or your system restore factory.

  • Start Windows Vista blue screen STOP: 0X0000007B error

    When I try to start up the bios screen appears then it goes to the loading of windows and I get this screen.  At first I thought it was a hard drive failed, but then I took the same hdd from another laptop I had, and it still does the same thing.  I tried to install a new copy of windows from the disc, but when it loads the files and will install I get the same blue screen.  I have reset my bios to the default system, I also physically reset the cmos and still no luck.  I have no idea what to do, I'm stuck.  I tried to go to the F8 boot menu and have used all the options and it always leads to this blue screen.  This may be a hardware failure? I take the laptop completely apart and put it back together and still get this blue screen.  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    My PC during idle time almost always has an Unexpected close, error message blue screen when I get back to work on it if left for more than an hour. He started only since I was a mobile internet stick. Works of stick, but I also sometimes get errors internet explore where it will not work properly and restart internet explore.     I use the Client version 5.0.07.0410 Cisco IPSec VPN. Installed on a Windows Vista operating system. Blue screen in Windows occurs after I entered the username and password. Anyone can shed some light on this? I know that Cisco works fine with XP and Windows 7, but had problems with Vista?

    He probably has sth to do with firewall vpnclient (system32/c:\windows\system32\vsdata.dll, vsdatant.dll) into conflict with another firewall, installed on your vista PC. Killing probably vsdata (if it's there) will solve the problem.

  • Windows Vista Blue Screen of Death - what is a virus or malware?

    My computer automatically restarts on its own. It gives me a message "Windows closed unexpectedly". When I try to look for a solution on the internet on the computer it redirects me to a link. Every solution I see there as a hardware problem, but the way it is it seems to be a virus or malware. I ran Malwarebytes on it with no luck and rank just the sight of the blue screen NirSoft.

    My level of knowledge allows me to do some research, but it is not enough where I feel comfortable playing with files of material.

    I can't boot Vista from a week or two. Just before that the login screen should apear, it crashes into a BSOD, claiming that the problem is the driver nvlddmkm.sys.
    I was checking the Internet for days now (a lot of forums), and it seems to be a 'common' problem, that occur with all the hardware and software of sorts features. I tried almost everything to fix, but nothing seems to work.

    Is there a solution for this problem?

    Unfortunately, I think would be the driver or the card itself. Since it worked fine, then just stopped. My best guess would be that the card is the issue. You can cancel the driver installation when you arrive at the normal mode? If so, I would try cancel and download the new driver. Or if your in "safe mode with network" I go ahead and download them and ask them to loan. So if you can cancel it, you wouldn't have to go download them. Let us know and thanks again for posting.

It appears so often... I completely restored my computer once already and still there. I would contact with my computer (HP) manufaturur, but I do not know what updates my need drivers. In addition, I'm not good at using the Event Viewer either.

    Other antivirus/security programs could be at least partially responsible.

    BCCode: 0x0000007f with the parameter 00000008 7f usually means a hardware problem.

    Have you added a hardware or drivers updated recently? Check Control Panel - Windows
    Updates to see if all drivers have been updated it just before what is going on has begun.

    For 7f - this could be a problem of material such as uncomfortable cards or memory, while there are
    other causes. Power electric low could also lead to this. Use the troubleshooters above and below
    and when you get to the drivers and memory sections refer to my next message below and then
    return if necessary troubleshooting services

    If a PC remove ALL power. Opening the case, remove and reinstall all memory cards and ALL

    Parameters

    The first parameter that is displayed on the blue screen indicates the number of trap.

    The most common trap codes are the following:

    • 0x00000000 or division by zero error, indicates that a DIV instruction is executed and the divisor is zero. Memory corruption, other hardware problems or software failures can cause this error.
    • 0 x 00000004, or overflow, occurs when the processor executes a call to an interrupt handler when the overflow (OF) is flag set.
    • 0x00000005, or limits check fault, indicates that the processor, then executing a BOUND instruction, determines that the operand exceeds the specified limits. A BOUND instruction ensures that a signed array index is within a certain range.
    • 0 x 00000006 or Opcode not valid, indicates that the processor attempts to execute an invalid instruction. This error occurs generally when the instruction pointer is corrupted and point to the wrong address. The most common cause of this error is hardware memory corruption.
    • 0x00000008 or Double fault, indicates that an exception occurs during a call to the previous exception handler. In general, two exceptions are handled in series. However, there are several exceptions that cannot be handled serially, and in this case, the processor signals a double fault. There are two common causes of a double fault


    CAUSE

    0x7F bug check occurs after the installation of a faulty or incompatible hardware (including memory) or if installed hardware fails.

    A double fault can occur when the kernel stack overflows. This overflow occurs if multiple drivers are attached to the same battery. For example, if two file system filter drivers are associated to the same stack and then again the recursively of file system, the capacity of the battery.


    Solve the problem

    Troubleshooting: If you have recently added the material to the computer, remove to see if the error recurs. If the hardware failure existing, remove or replace the faulty component. Run the diagnostics of material that does not have the system manufacturer supplies to determine which hardware component.

If, in this circumstance, the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with NTFS, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console in order to access the file.

    Also to restart your computer and press F8 to character-based menu that displays the choice of operating system. In the menuof Advanced Options , select thelast known good Configuration option. This option is most effective when you add a single driver or service at a time.

    Overclocking (setting of the CPU to run at a speed higher than the nominal specification) can cause this error. If you have overclocked to the computer that is experiencing the error, return the CPU to default clock speed setting.

    Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver that generated the error. You can also disable caching memory BIOS to try to resolve the problem.

    If you have encountered this error during the upgrade to a new version of the Windows operating system, the error can be caused by a device driver, system service, an anti-virus or a backup tool that is not compatible with the new version. If possible, remove all third-party device drivers and system services and disable all antivirus before upgrade you. Contact the software manufacturer for updates of these tools. Also, make sure that you have installed the latest Windows Service Pack.

    Finally, if all of the steps above do not resolve the error, take the system motherboard to a repair for the diagnostic facility. A crack, a scratched trace, or a defective component on the motherboard can also cause this error.
