  • Windows vista not install updates, how can I solve this problem

I took my computer compaq running on windows vista & my windows updates will not install what can I do?

I have been working on this since April too and may not know how to solve this problem.  Last update was in March.  I used the MicrosoftFixit.wu.MATSKB.Run with no luck.  He says that he can not solve the problem and leads to a MS web page, which doesn't help.   I also stop the update services and several DLLs and then restarted them without success, according to a website of windows troubleshooting.  I am not prepared to roll back, nor do I want to reload the operating system.  If I do that, I'm going to Linux.

  • Why windows 7 cannot install updates?

Whenever I stop, I get a message: installation of the updates. Do not turn off your computer. Eventually the computer "installs" 4 updates and stops, but the next time it is turned on it says prepare to set up windows. 0% complete. This "hangs" for a while, then I get the newspaper account individual users on the screen and everything seems to work OK. When I stopped once again, however, it ascends through the same rigmarole again and also at the start. This has happened for a week. Any ideas how to stop it?

Please try to reset the Windows Update components to download and saving the Fixit on this page - How to reset the Windows Update components?

Once the download is complete, close all open programs and browsers.
Now run MicrosoftFixit50202.msi and choose it is the default mode.
When he has finished to see if running the system can search, detect, download, and install updates.

If no joy, then suggest that you Configure the system to boot .
After the reboot to clean boot state, run the Fixit once more and choose it's aggressive mode.
When it has finished running see if the system can be updated while still in the State of clean boot, including rebooting the system to see if the 'coup' persists.

    * Suggest that you leave an update to do later when the system is running in Windows normal mode. *

NOTE: In the clean boot state will be disabled all firewalls of part 3.
Make sure that the native firewall of Windows 7 is now on.

If the 'coup' does not occur when the system has been updated in the clean boot state after running the Fixit, then cancel the clean boot procedure, and then restart in normal Windows mode.
Now let's see if the rest update one installs correctly.

If the question of the hanging is still underway in the clean boot state, then please copy and paste the last lines of 50 or more WindowsUpdate.log in your response - How to read the Windowsupdate.log file

If the problem only occurs in Windows normal mode, then 3rd party software is the most likely cause.

  • Windows 8 - cannot install updates Error 80070002 and 80246007 codes

Until recently, I was able to update all apps very well. Then I installed all the more recent windows updates and now I can is more updated of all the apps or install everything new.

I've had Netflix on my computer but need an update, so I tried to update and it gives me Error 80070002 first and I try again and get 80246007.

I also tried to install windows 8.1, seemingly not too well.

I ran the windows update tool and there were a few problems found:

Recent updates installation problems (not fixed)

Search for missing or corrupted files (detected)

Don't know how to solve this. A lot of post say try installing updates windows again, but how can I remove the old ones and reinstall the new?

Or any other method would be useful.

    Thank you.
