Your problem is that the PC is unable to properly read the table BIOS SLC, which should not be able to activate the key to OEM_SLP product in use here.

You must change the key to that on your COA sticker on the case of the machine, using the link to the product key of Cange the bottom of system properties - you will then need to activate by phone.

Why my Windows Vista Home Edition Premium x 64 (active with the serial number on the side of the case more than 3 years ago) suddenly puts an overlay at the bottom right of my desk saying: -.
    "Windows Vista (TM)".
    Build 6002
This copy of Windows is not genuine ".

I have not done something 'new' with him, did not have any material (Chipset, processor and MAC address are the same, not BIOS updated firmware etc.) or installed a major service pack (just the regular updates for the Defender) and all of a sudden it tells me I'm a thief of cheating When I KNOW for a fact that I am not.

I have never shared my license key with anyone. (at least not consciously) I've never disabled Windows. I didn't join a new area or changed my working group. I've not yet been messing around in my system registry these last time.

This message is very disturbing, I realized that the 'Premium' features, which I do not use a fair bit, stop working shortly after this message.

What should I do to reassure Windows that's really authentic?

Oh, wait... I remember something that I do... I've been running thorough Defrags recently. Resized the Swap Partition (Yes, I keep a partition for the pagefile 'fixed size' and hide only) and changed the BCD to 'show' the Test of memory Vista boot option.

    One of these would cause?

I do not see why and don't know what to do to fix.

Actually... the problem is not that the defragment utility.

If I jump the boot time defragmentation (or he analyzes that no hard drive need to be defragmented) no office message.

If a drive is defragmented during startup, Windows isn't genuine this session.

For all MSVPs, who may be interested to hear this strange story and understand why... the software in question is UltraDefrag.

My CD drive on my Dell 2400 appears disabled (on Admin Managemnt yellow exclamation point) as this is my plugin dvd recordr/cd player recorder. How can I fix? Thank you

Locate your CD drive integrated in the device list manager.

Do a right click on it, it should appear a window with "Disable"... 'Enable '.

    Click Activate.

It is a possibility, the other is...

The fact that you are also using EXTERNAL units could be the 'reason' why one integrated disabled to start with.

The USB in the BIOS setting must be wrong... to do this.

In addition, the "HALT ON...» ' Command, in the BIOS, will not. (It is possible that the "Halt" command is... ON "ALL ERRORS").

    Assign to this... "WITHOUT ERRORS".

This should cure the problem of USB connection (for external use) disable your "built-in" CD player

  • A legal version of Vista Home premium suddenly "not true."

Yesterday I suddenly got an alert on my cell "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine".
My copy is pre-installed on my Lenovo Y510 laptop several years ago and is the real deal.
I did nothing unusual/different to my laptop only a few weeks, against my better judgment, I downloaded and installed SP2. I had all sorts of issues with SP2 in the past and uninstalled many years ago but as I could not find a security (Norton or Kaspersky) package that could work without it, I had to install again.

    Hello
I tried to follow the instructions you gave, but was never given the option to "Country" or "Phone Activation" - perhaps because Vista is preinstalled by Lenovo? I just kept getting messages that I have the product was not authentic and if necessary, to buy a new code of product etc...
So I ignored the messages that the version of Windows, I had was invalid and found and seized the key to product repeatedly. Of course I should have done cela all along , but I assumed that the messages I received on the version being not authentic not meant that this step would bring back me to square one - and other assignments seem to imply the same - a message that the version was not genuine meant that it would be useless to enter the product key.
. My version is now accepted as authentic by just entering the product key, although I seem to have lost some functionality (background had to be changed etc.). And I am still puzzled about my Vista how happened to legal illegal overnight!

My apologies to send you on a wild goose chase!

  • Where can I get a free copy of Windows Vista Home Premium for a laptop Sony Vaio I have my product key, but need to the floppy?

where can I get a free copy of windows vista edition Home premium? I tried to restore my laptop without success. I think I need a copy of the installation disc so that I can reinstall it with my current product key

    Hello

There's a photo guide based on the recovery of your model here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/tutorial/381906/product/VGN-fz18g

If you cannot use this method because what did your friend, your options are...

    • Pay Sony for media recovery
    • A base Windows installation followed by installing specific Sony drivers and software from their Web site.

If you walk down the road of the latter, I would say that, if possible, before you begin reinstalling Windows you download at least the Ethernet drivers and wireless and save in, for example, a USB key. Start your drivers to search for them (and other) here...

    http://www.Sony-Asia.com/support/product/VGN-fz18g/FAQ

.. everything will be difficult to download if drivers that allow access to the internet are not native to a new installation of Windows.

Your principled stand against Sony charges for media recovery is, in my opinion, wrong. As I already said twice...

If Sony did not provide recovery media that they have provided the means to create them

If you lost or do not burn them and messed up your recovery partition, it's not for lack of Sony.

My serious recommendation is to accept a fee of Sony for the recovery media. It will make life much simpler for you. For this reason alone, it is probably useful tax, especially considering that you're obviously not a user advanced. Otherwise, why ask the help of a friend and ask for help on this forum?

I suspect that the links I've seen on this website are actually only valid for Windows 7 media images. If you do not buy the recovery media and go with an iso image download Vista Home Premium, I have to warn about the following...

    • The legality of this is, at best, questionable
    • If it's not genuine Microsoft media you might end by in an even bigger mess (if it works at all)

    Using the Group Policy Editor
If your edition of Windows Vista includes the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) snap-in, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, type gpedit.msc and press ENTER
    2. go to the following branch: Computer Configuration | Administrative templates | System | System Restore
    3. double click on disable the Configuration and set it to not configured.
Note: If the above setting is already set to not configured, set it to "Enabled" and click on apply. Return back the setting to not configured, then click on apply, OK.

According to the report that you have posted, you should not see a non-genuine problem - the report is clean.

If you are indeed to see a non-genuine notification, then is that from time to time, or is this all the time?

If it is present only from time to time, you have a race condition - and those can be a nightmare to solve, because they disappear as soon as you look at :) They are often caused by antivirus programs in conflict with other programs running

If it is there all the time, then try the following.

  • When I hit 'send' she refuses, saying that the email I just wrote is "spam." It is NOT, I need to send, how can I fix this problem?

Not always, but often, the program thinks my own email, that I just wrote, is spam. Often, it is a response to an email sent to me and sometimes, if they have an image in the signature line, and I remove their image of my answer, it will send very well (I can leave the rest of what they wrote, and remove only the image of the signature line). Or sometimes, if I finish the first attempt and try a new message or a new response, then it works...

But sometimes, nothing I will not convince the program that my OWN email that I want to send is NOT spam! The person I send to is EXPECTING and he waits! Why he won't send? Why he thinks I'm send spam?

I looked at my server settings, but I have no idea what it would be under.

How can I fix it? I NEVER send spam, I need this problem is solved so that it DOESN'T happen. Thanks for any help.

    The mail server responded:

As indicated in the error message, it's from the server. Thunderbird has nothing to do with it. You will need to talk to your email provider why they mark your message as spam.

  • Some junk mail I receive should NOT go to spam.  How can I fix this?
