  To have a very brief overview first, we use Apache Commons Logging as the recording interface for our SDK (and other papers). The implementation/provider logging concrete under this interface is specified in the file commons - logging.properties that should be present on the Java class path. The setting for the logging level depends on the underlying implementation. Customers can use an implementation of the logging of their choice, with the SDK.

  If you use the implementation of Log4j (which is what we use in some of the other components of Flash Access), you can change the logging level in the corresponding log4j.xml configuration file. These details, if you wish, are provided under this link - http://commons.apache.org/logging/guide.html#Configuring%20Log4J.

  If you decide to use another application of logging, you will need to consult the appropriate documentation.

  The only exception to all of this, for the current version, is with the access server out-of-box Flash for protected streaming, in which the log level is changed via the flashaccess configuration file - global .xml.   I think I solved the problem. I went to the website to download drivers, etc., and, rather than to specify the printer, I clicked the button to let HP identify it. It came with the correct name (see post) preceding. Then, I downloaded and installed the full feature software and driver. The first attempt to print from Excel led to the mistake of page size, but, on a whim, I tried twice and had two successful prints without error. Until further notice, I mark this as solved problem.
