Windows vista recovery disk.

My hard drive crashed recently. Fearing the worst, I bought a new drive hard by I am unable to find my recovery disk. I always have my validation code. I got my computer to reboot, but I don't want to take any chances with the old hard drive. Is it possible that I can do a windows recovery disc, so I can run on the new drive before he decides to hang again. Also, I contacted the manufacturer and they said they no longer offer the vista recovery disks.

Standard support vof vista is complete.  You may be able to get a dvd of Vista but if vista came pre-installed you will need to find an OEM copy.  I doubt you'll find one.  Might want to try eBay (but make sure that it is legitimate)

If you can't find one that maybe this is the time for you to upgrade to win 7.

    Hello

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

    Hey,.

Normally, you need to create this recovery disc yourself using pre-installed recovery disc creator, but I think that now it s too late because Windows doesn't start anymore.

But you can order the CD here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

If you can t order it, ask an authorized service provider. Alternative use a normal disc of Microsoft and the drivers of Toshiba page.

  • Windows Vista recovery disc

I can't load the Windows Vista recovery disks (3 in total).  The Recovery Manager has not opened.  I went up to step 3 only.  I guess the restore disc (CD 1) failed.

    Hello:

Sometimes the recovery disks do not work for one reason or another.

If you can still read all 25 characters of the Vista product key on the COA Microsoft sticker on the bottom of your PC, you can do your own Vista installation disc that should at least get an operating system reinstalled on your PC.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then the other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them on my hp dc7100 CMT PC desktop computer, they worked perfectly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

Update:  This is the new link to your own Vista installation media.

Click on the link below and then click on the link PDF Guide of reinstalling Windows.

Follow the instructions on pp 295-297.

  • I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means?

Windows recovery disc 32-bit error code meaning version question

    Hello
I hope someone can help me. I am unable to boot into windows vista 32-bit, so I downloaded the vista recovery disk and get an oxo error code what it means (thanks in advance)?

You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

    See you soon.

  • How to make a windows vista recovery partition

Hi I have a windows vista desktop computer and I need to do a recovery partition. There is currently no a. How can I make one? My computer has slowed down at the stop and I need recovered

    Hello

You can't do a recovery Partition.

A recovery partition is copied onto your hard drive from the computer manufacturer at their factory.

If you do not have to purchase recovery disc are to make sure that you do not have alreasdy have a recovery hard disk Partition?

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

I get the message that my Windows Vista recovery (D ;) is full.

The partition recovery on a computer is put in place by the manufacturer of the computer, and it is always better to consult before making any changes in there. It contains files that will help you to restore your computer in the event of a disaster. No one knows about the things inside the recovery partition better than your computer manufacturer. • Need Vista recovery disk

I have an old HP Pavilion a1000. I want to wipe the drive and make a donation to the computer. I have the product key of Windows Vista on the machine, but I need the recoverty Vista disk.

    Thanks for any help!

The "HP Pavilion a1000" model name you provided is not a real model but rather a series of models. When you request assistance please provide the number of name and/or product of comprehensive model of the computer in question.

Honestly, you can just use the edition CD of Darik Boot-n-Nuke to erase the hard drive of your data and give it to charity, as is. Most charities have the option to install an operating system or "sell" boneless. HP recovery discs most likely won't be available at HP for your model, but you may be able to get them through third-party provider computer surgeons. You can also try the method below (even if is not a recovery Disc... it should install Windows Vista on the computer), Paul Tikkanen has stated in that thread Danah entited "Windows Vista recovery disc".

"If you can still read all 25 characters of the Vista product key on the COA Microsoft sticker on the bottom of your PC, you can make your own Vista installation disc that should at least get an operating system reinstalled on your PC.

    Hello

normally the new hard drive manufacturer will provide some cloning software to move all fron the old to the new hard drive

like your hard drive is fried it will not

    Try these methods:

    1.

Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    2.

or borrow a microsoft dvd vista

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista
