Windows Vista reinstall without installation disc (Acer Aspire 6920 G)

Hello

I would like to ask for help. About a year ago I bought this laptop with the original Windows Vista validation but key without a Windows Vista installation disc. Now, I would like to reinstall my system.

I downloaded the file .iso Windows Recovery (of size 120 MB), it burned down and tried to reinstall Windows. I got to the stage where I type the validation key, but always when I typed that key, it appeared that the key is invalid (I checked this certificate stuck on the laptop and it seems to be original).

Thanks in advance

This is NOT a Vista reinstall the drive, it's a record of STARTUP repair!

Vista Media recovery obtaining and/or using the Vista recovery on your computer Partition t put it back to factory settings.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

https://secure.TX.Acer.com/rcdb/main.aspx?brand=Acer

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11, Acer is normally Alt + F10 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.
There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu
    Hello
    With a HP Compaq laptop press you F11 on startup to start the recovery process.
    But, like the HP advises, if you install another Vista operating system, the recovery Partition is therefore more able to be used.
    There are several methods to reinstall Vista.
    There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.
    You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
    They should do this for a small fee.
    To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:
    You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:
    Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
    If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
    You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
    Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
    And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
  • Windows Vista reinstall stopped at "continue installation".
    I'm trying to reinstall Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron 1720.  I get through the steps and it restarts several times, but when I get to "Continue Installation... "nothing seems to happen.  I tried several times to reinstall but still stuck at this point.  Long ago I lost all the files on the computer so that they are not important.  I disconnected all devices.  It all started when SysMech messed up the registry and totally corrupted the Vista operating system.  I formatted the HD and deleted the partition while I'm trying to reinstall in the unallocated space.
    Help!
    Hello
    Installation may stop if the system cannot copy files. Here are some possible causes and solutions for this problem:
    a. your Windows installation disc is scratched, smudged, or dirty. Clean the disc with a soft cloth, insert it in the CD or DVD drive, and then start the Windows installation again. If your installation disc is damaged, you may need to replace it.
    For more information, go to How to replace Microsoft software or hardware lost, broken or missing on the Microsoft Web site.
    b. the CD or DVD drive is not working properly or the disk might be vibrating too much for the laser correctly read data. For more information about this problem, see your hardware documentation or contact the manufacturer of the CD or DVD drive.
    Also, it is usually caused by hardware problems.  If you have this problem, follow these steps:
    a. wait about 10 minutes to see if the installation continues. Look at the led on the hard drive (often a small light on your computer that blinks when your hard drive is running) to see if there is no activity. If your hard drive seems to be working, the installation must be current.
    c. If you have more than 1 Memory stick on your computer, try to remove all but one RAM stick and try to install Windows Vista.
    If the computer still stops responding during installation, you may need to contact the manufacturer of your computer for the problems associated with hard drives.
    Hello
    You can buy Windows 7; It does not come for free.
    You need a product key for Windows 7.
    Could you give us more information?
    Follow these steps before you buy/try installing Windows 7:
    Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.
    If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.
  • The clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 without installation disc.
    Hello
    I recently bought a Toshiba laptop with a Home Premium Windows 7 x 64 preload version.  It has not come with a Windows installation disc.  I want to reformat the hard drive and put on a clean version of the same operating system.   Right now my only solution is to find someone with a disk or an iso.  Which turns out to be harder than I thought.   Is it possible to make an image of Win 7 Win 7 without having to make a picture?
    I also own a copy of Windows 7 pro x 64.  Can I use this disc to install, with the key of Win 7 Home Premium?
    Thank you
    FatherFinch
    If you perform a "clean" of Windows 7 Home Premium installation, you will need to buy Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.  Someone else using Windows 7 disk is not allowed under the terms of the license Microsoft Softrware.
    Q: I also have a copy of Windows 7 pro x 64. Can I use this disc to install with Win 7 Home Premium key?
    A.   No
  • Can I reinstall Windows Vista professional, a recovery disc on a new hard drive for my 6820 s?
    I am selling my old laptop HP 6820 s to put the money to another and the main problem is that the original hard disk having bad sectors that prevent me from reinstalling Windows Vista Professional using the recovery disk. I was wondering if I bought a new hard drive of the same size and type, I was able to reinstall Windows Vista Business on it, especially since I still have the original key on the laptop itself.
    If the hd meets the specification, you should be able to install using the recovery discs.
  • Windows Vista reinstall blocked to "expand the files (27%). »
    I have some problems with my PC main (on my laptop at this time) and decided after 3 years, time to reformat. From what I've heard supposed to be simple in vista, pop in the disc and click on reinstall windows. He grayed out button keep old files, but that was OK since I tried a clean install. then he went forward and said she'd keep everything in windows.old, fine, I'll just delete myself later.
    Anyway, I take reinstall, it goes through a reboot or two and gets to the Windows installation, extension files, I've been watching it for over an hour now and it has not exceeded (27%). Not sure what will happen if I force to restart now and try again. Please help and advise.
    p.s. It's 32-bit Vista Home Premium, the same disc that came with the computer in the first place, original vista without SP the disk.
    UPDATE:
    OK, once sitting around an another hourish in waiting for a response from the installation has puched from 27 percent and is now at 70%, heres hoping it continues, so for those of you who else having this problem, go see a movie, go back and hope it's worked.
    If you have an Installation of Vista genuine disc (not an OEM disc and a recovery from Dell disk), then I can help you. If this isn't the case, you need to contact Dell, as is their recovery process and not from Microsoft and we have no information on its operation.
    Assuming you are using a real Dist Vista Installation, the installation obviously didn't at this point so you should cold shut down the system and reboot to restart the process.  Before that, I would clean the disc gently with a tissue from the Center to the edge to remove fingerprints or tasks that can cause the problem.
    When the option to format, choose full format rather than a quick format (just to make sure that it has nothing to do with the problem).
    Then try the re-installing and hope it works this time.  If it will not re - install from the disc, then try to find an another Vista Installation authentic drive of the same size of the bit to borrow and try.  If not, then press F12 immediately after pressing the Start button to access system diagnotics (at least this is how it works on my Dell - use whatever method works for your if you have installed the diagnostics program) and run all the options to see if it finds problems with your system (I hope not).
    If not, then contact Support technique Dell (if out of warranty a phone call can cost money, but I think that the chat option is free even after the warranty runs out and see if they have any suggetions to offer.)
    I hope this helps.
