WINDOWS VISTA SERVICE PACK 1 (KB936330) says it is downloaded, but it is not

My PC recently had to be rebuilt from scratch. It now seems to work fine except that this update is continually need to be downloaded.
When I try to install the update by "preparation for installation" create a restore point, and then opens a box saying "Welcome to Windows Vista Service Pack 1", then me to accept the terms and conditions then produces a window telling me that it can take several hours to install etc. When I click on install it instantly tells me that it has been correctly installed. Meanwhile the PC continues to tell me (and remind myself whenever I start) that I need to install a major update - WINDOWS VISTA SERVICE PACK 1 (KB936330)!

My problem has been resolved, turns out I tried to download the wrong version. My PC is an autonomous one, and for reasons unknown to me, I chose the Service Pack1 for 5 languages. Had a discussion with a friend, maybe something he said... in any case I went back to the site download and tried Service Pack1 for 1 language! Has worked as a

Charm. After the installation of Service Pack 1, all the others were easy.
