Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine

I have a legitimate copy of windows and Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine recently popped up in the corner of my screen after that avast did some antivirus stuff from the start of my PC. Like I said that my OS is genuine, I still click Properties on computer law and he still has my product id and the next thing to tell him that it is authentic. If anyone can help please do.

Too bad he decided to disappear when I re start my PC again.

The foregoing is the cause of your problems.

I've not seen this exact error before, but I think the following should help - or at least shed a little more light on the problem.

Please try the steps below to re-create the license with the correct data store.

    (1) open an Internet browser window.
    (2) type: %windir%\system32 in the browser's address bar.
    (3) find the CMD.exe file
    (4) make a right click on CMD.exe and select "Run as Administrator"
    (5) type: net stop slsvc (it may ask you if you're sure, select Yes)
    (6) type: cd %windir%\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareLicensing
    (7) type: Rename tokens.bar tokens.dat

  • had my computer for 4 years and now bed screen Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine?

Screen reads Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine.

I had this for 4 years and no computer has ever seen this. I'm on anyway by clicking on "Activate later."

All the 'Help' forums I see suggest retype the product key. The sticker on my computer has a series of 20 characters of 5 letters and then 15 numbers without dashes or breaks.

When I retype it, on the second character (letter) he stops because the field says "invalid character": he wants a number when my product has letters.

In the system when I go to start. Computer. Properties of the system. He also says that I need to activate and has a product ID number with numbers and letters (5 numbers-3 letters-7 digit numbers 5) - but that doesn't work either. I don't know what product key to use because the two seem invalid now or my computer does not allow me to type the right pair...

    so far.

All the advice give me links that do not work, such as:

link does NOT-work window starts then disappears

http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=52012 this does NOT work either...

    Help!

Because my computer is more than 3, I can not yet ask questions by phone. Each application number for my service code that crashes then upwards on me are not covered...

Thanks for any help-i'm mystified as to how this could happen right now. I have not downloaded new programs recently...

I'm afraid to try to uninstall because I don't want to lose my itunes or personal files...

I guess I need to just unplug and get a flashlight, because I easily see not no sticker on my computer with that type of number... it seems crazy that the number is not available otherwise.

If the worst comes to the worst and you have a vista OS preinstalled, Dell, HP or whatever, you do not say, contact the manufacturer of your machine and ask them to send you a set of vista recovery disc and reinstall the operating system to how you bought your machine

normally, these recovery disks do not require an input key product on your part

and they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

and the same thing applies to that too; No product key entry required by you

  • After the reboot, I get Windows Vista build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine, but the system... activation seems to be

After a restart/virus scan (after the large recent Windows Update Microsoft), I see on the background one right part of my screen:

Windows Vista (TM) Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine.

I looked at the system screen and it shows only: Windows is activated.

I ran Microsoft Genuine Diagnostics tool, and it shows:
    Validation status: genuine
    Validation code: 0

N/a for resolution state (probably because he thinks that the installation is correct).

Don't know what the issue is here?  Does anyone know a fix for this?  I would rather have not shut down the system after 30 days of work!
    Thank you!

According to the report that you have posted, you should not see a non-genuine problem - the report is clean.

If you are indeed to see a non-genuine notification, then is that from time to time, or is this all the time?

If it is present only from time to time, you have a race condition - and those can be a nightmare to solve, because they disappear as soon as you look at :) They are often caused by antivirus programs in conflict with other programs running

If it is there all the time, then try the following.

Vista license store is perhaps damaged or its data can be ruined somehow. Please try the steps below to re-create the store with the correct data.

    (1) open an Internet browser window.

  • "Build 6002: this copy of Windows is not genuine".

    Hello world...

I've had my TOSHIBA Satellite L40-139 for more than a year. She was purchased by PC World and came with a preinstalled version of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. I don't have the disc that came with the laptop, but the Windows installed is genuine.

I went to install Vista Service Pack 2 after you download. I restarted my laptop only to find my desktop wallpaper disappeared and was replaced with a black background and the following text in the lower right of the desktop:

    Windows Vista (TM)
    Build 6002
This copy of Windows is not genuine

She was followed by a pop-up with two options, 'Activate now' or 'Activate later', followed by a pop up an error that says Windows must be reinstalled as a "unauthorized modification were made...". Please insert the CD or DVD. If I press 'Activate now' he's just another pop up that says I can contact TOSHIBA. If I click on the link it will just a standard screen for "help!"

I don't know what to do... I have the sticker intact COA product key and tried to enter, but she returned with various errors. It's like as soon as I installed service pack 2 I had problems. Yet once again, I don't have Vista or a toshiba recovery disk (I don't even know if it came with one). I tried to restore Windows, but it returns with the same screens!

    Help!

PS. is the Toshiba support line a toll-free number? Does anyone know a number that is free to call mobile phones? (I don't have a landline).

Your model of laptop is not delivered with the recovery disk, but with recovery image stored on the HARD drive. In s manuals document clearly describes that you must fund recovery DVD only tool preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.

Version of the OS pre-installed (Toshiba recovery image factory settings) is definitely authentic and I really don t understand how it can happen. I mean thousands of people do the same update, and there is no other claim on similar problems.

Anyway, if you didn t create recovery disk you can try now is to reinstall the OS using the HDD recovery procedure. How to do this you can read in document http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD9102IR0000R01.htm Toshiba FAQ
This will remove all HARD drive, extract second partition so if you have some important data backup.

If it will not let me know.

  • Windows Vista Build 6002, this copy is not genuine

I just update Quicktime and another, something to do with the overvoice for iPod (which I uninstalled it after I restarted my computer). He said now in the lower right of my screen

Windows Vista Build 6002, this copy is not genuine... also, after updatingand restarting my computer, I get a bubble telling me to activate windows

    Help

    AAARGH! :)

    Has no task you!

For some reason, the operating system cannot correctly read the BIOS SLIC table that is required for automatic activation key OEM_SLP used here.

You must change the key to that on the link change the sticker COA product key using ghte on the system properties page.

You may need to activate by phone.

  • Windows Vista (TM) Build 6001 this copy of Windows is not genuine

I tried to connect to the internet, the screen went black and when she came back on everything on the screen has been expanded. Then, I changed my laptop, using the power button. When I switched back on it the "Windows Vista (TM) Build 6001 this copy of Windows is not genuine" message appeared in the lower right corner of the screen, and all the icons on the desktop had been rearranged - with a few missing. I no longer seem to have the suite Microsoft Office applications on my laptop and I can't connect to the internet. Several other tools on Vista work is more (including the 'Research' in the Start Menu tool). Please note that I had my laptop for about 18 months and it came pre-installed with a 'Real' copy of Vista Home Premium Operating System, I had no problem with the operating system before this appearance. After reading other threads on the forum, I have downloaded and run the 'real diagnostic tool' recommended. • Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine. And it will not accept my registration keys-

An update of my system took place yesterday. has worked for several hours today and the screen went black, and this message appeared: Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine.

Now I'm stock and can't get my system to respond.

    Hi Mick:

    Following up on the Question:

I tried several methods to update my valid registration keys and to clear this error message. Done with a case of pension to MS. Took them 3 hours (on the phone) to solve this problem. they installed some exec and had to override system to accept my valid registration keys.

    Problem is now solved.

    Thanks for trying.

  • Windows Vista Build 6002 this copy of windows is not geniue (product key incorrect for the wrong operating system type)

OK, so after having received a computer from second hand for the game, I started to find that he was not registered. I tried to register it with the product key on the machine, but wait - that's Vista Ultimate, not the business of Vista on the computer! To prove that it was legitimate, he says "the product key you entered will not work with this edition of Windows Vista. You should run Windows Vista set up or enter a Windows Vista Business product key." If I had to pitch the series up (I don't know how), would it erase my hard drive of all it's data and drivers (which I do not want to happen)? I tried to look in the little upgrade Anytime, but

He just had an option to compare the editions of Windows Vista. Help please!

The key used is the KMS of professional for Windows Vista Volume License.

MS licenses require a reactivation with the host at least every 180 days.

You must reformat and reinstall using Ultimate - you should be able to buy from Dell recovery disks, if the built-in recovery partition has been deleted.

You can download files that can be used to create the startup disk for Vista of links to this site...  http://www.heidoc.NET/Joomla/technology-science/Microsoft

  • Build 7601 this copy of microsoft is not authentic? but it should be.

the basic facts are not very irritable im.

laptop has two internal hard drives

    its an acer aspire 6930

    laptop fell off the couch

Windows would not start saying hardware or software missing or damaged

made the diagnosis of memory ok.

    discovered on the startup disk

in fact, reinstalled windows on another hard drive and booted up

has taken about 30 minutes to install updates

seen through my computer my main hard drive missing

    disabled for laptop

unscrewed the Panel underneath and had to fix the main hard drive

now has the choice of 2 windows 7

back photos etc. and format of hdd secondary to try away with 2 x Window 7 on startup.but can always get the option.

now my original hard drive startup displays the message above about not genuine windows

a speech bubble guard appearing telling me also.

    wallpaper disappears.

hope you can follow like its all a bit messy.

what I need to save all external and format the two hard drive

    then reinstall?

Thanks again for the quick response.

do the last update for realtek high definition audio driver who will take an another 1 h 20mn by the look of it?

    just looked under laptop

faded key cert Microsoft for vista.

also a couple of front stickers are missing

I bought this laptop 18 months to 2 years for little money from someone I used to know about a car forum, which has revolved around laptops with decent spec (to the extent of the concerned in any case im) at a quite reasonable price that I was on a budget as usual

This laptop can be a parts bin lol.

It has a screen revalued and the additional hddrive as far as I know.

I gave an authentic disc of windows 7 in a box with its own product key and said it was the operating system that is installed. It ran fine with no warning 'victim of possible fraud counterfeit' or something else. and he made the automatic updates, I think that all day, mainly for windows defender.

This disk is what I'd done the re-setup on the secondary drive.

maybe after activation on another drive it has marked as cloned? don't know how it works tbh.

Anyway, it serves me right for it hits on the couch and maybey its time to try to upgrade to windows eight after Christmas.

hope only until it is not get in any trouble.

The key used is of "recovery media" for Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell at least - from what I can find easily.  If the product key that you have in the above output (* - WJ2H8 - R6B6D-7QJB7) does not match the key found, ' drive genuine windows 7 in box with its own product key "-enter the box and try to activate.  If it does not-Yes, this is the product key that Gateway/Acer/Packard Bell (at least) used to install Windows 7 on all of its systems at the factory.

I want to say that I took the link that I had in my e-mail by microsoft to join in the forum with excactly the same question! My appollogies all I upset and confused! But what the * I am supposed to do if Microsoft take me to a forum etc. etc. to associate myself with ppl that are having the same problem... that's all public reading for all trying to learn... If the techys said great and I don't want that they are great! give an answer to a person having the same problem, giving specific instructions to follow... that is to say, 'this type', 'type' etc... No problem - it happens :)

    Thanks for reposting.

Unfortunatey the formatting of the report is turned to h3ll, so I can miss somethig. but that's...

Your problem is due to what looks like two things - fixable one and the other perhaps not repairable.

    (1) your installation is licensed OEM_SLP, on what appears to be a motherbaord detail - have you replaced the motherboard at all, or sent to the machine to be repaired? I to this is the maor problem eventually and not repairable.

    (2) you have a couple of current file incompatibilities, which would also cause non-genuine advice. There is no point in trying to fix this unti, we establish the situation wth the motherboard and the Windows license.

Is there a COA sticker on the case of the machine? If so, what version and edition of Windows is valid? (NOT posting the key!)

What is the brand and model of the machine - or is it a machine on measurement or house built?

If homebuilt - it seems that someone has installed the system using the recovery to an Asus computer disks. This does not work, because the Recoverydisks require the appropriate BIOS to work properly.

post back with your answer, and we'll go from there.

  • Windows Vista Build 6002 this copy of Windows is not genuine

My computer was working fine for a year, until that I turn it on this morning a message telling me to reactivate the product key. I already searched the forums and tried a few different solutions. I'm already running on service pack 2.

  • Windows Vista build 6002 this copy of windows is not genuine (but it IS the case - and it is enabled)

The other windows of day did an automatice update and now the above message appears at the bottom right of my office. However, it is a true copy and it is enabled.

How can I get rid of this message.

EDIT: The problem seems to be resolved now

    Your report looks very good.

The problem is probably due to a race condition that temporarily blocked the operation License Service - including the system then interpreted as an attack on WGA and so marked. Often a reboot clears it, or it disappears when the system is a new trial.

It may have been a series of updates to .NET the cause - they tend to become pretty much the processor upon restart, while they re - optimize.

  • Service Pack 2 Build 6002: This copy of Windows Vista is not genuine.

Hi, I bought my Dell XPS 420 is about 2 years. April of 2008. But recently I got this error where it asks for an activation code and activate Windows now or later. I also got a black screen as a background, I can't use the internet, I can't use the Windows Update or system restore for that matter.

Many drivers would be stopping itself, like Windows Explorer when I tried to start it...

I also have a blue error screen, where he would say: "a fatal error has occurred", and the computer will turn off automatically. Sometimes, I can't even on the homepage where I would like to connect on...

I use Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium if it matters.

If this was due to the installation of SP2, Microsoft offers free support at: https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?prid=13014&gprid=582034&st=1&wfxredirect=1.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
