  • My windows vista Loader summary is enclosed. will not respond to the keyboard.

This Dell PC locks up and my daughter has turned it off. He did this several times. Now, it will not be to all. The screen indicates that the previous attempt to retake an unexpected interruption failed. It does not start in safe mode, and it does not meet strikes. I already checked the connections and switching of the keyboard USB port to be sure that it was not a mechanical problem.

If safe mode does not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit Service Pack 2 - Office suddenly abandoned internet (via e-thernet), does not connect unless I have stop and restart manually

A few days ago I pressed the space bar to wake up my (HP pavilion m8100n) office, and I met several things at once:
    1. the icon of the internet was just two monitors blinks back
    2. a box pops up saying "an audio input jack has been disconnected" (when NO such thing has happened!) and now I have no sound and just an "x"symbol next to the symbol of volume." I tried connect headphones, still no sound at all.
    3. my wireless mouse works most completely (again, I don't have anything) I had to use my Intuos3 Tablet mouse click autour.
Then I restarted the computer, unplugged and replugged the usb for wireless mouse thing, solved #3.
    #2 is still pending.
    #1 takes a strange turn.
The computer more remained in mode 'sleep', even if I told him to go to mode 'sleep', and every time he woke up upward, I had no internet (just two monitors flashing back and forth.)
I went to the Device Manager and unchecked the box that allows the computer to disable internet to save energy, at least now when it comes out of sleep, he maintains the internet.
The computer also doesn't stop- every now and again, he normally stops when I said to, but more often now I have to force it to close hold the button down.
The question of the internet has gotten worse. While we had a few problems because of the company's Internet, we called and it is resolved.
I know the router is not the problem because that all computer laptop in the House can connect to him easily.
My computer always had problems with wireless cards, is also connected to the router via e-thernet.
The only way I can work around the issue now is to stop (be it by asking the computer to stop or forcing), from, he and hope I get internet.
If I don't have internet and instead just get the flashing monitors symbol, I tried to tell the computer to restart, but this does not resolve the issue.
When it restarts, there not even internet.
I still close, wait and start again, and * hope * I have internet.

When I have no internet, and I'm trying to diagnose and repair, it always ends up by saying "Windows cannot solve this problem."
When I click on network and sharing Center, he says that I'm connected to a 'network unidentified' - which is meaningless, because when the internet works, it says that I'm connected to the private network of our House.
I tried Googling autour, but I really can't find someone else who has the problem as well as the problem of the e-thernet restart/stop.
Any help with this would be massively appreciated, I do commissions online my source of income and I need this computer to work, because it's my graphic computer.
(I've included all this other info in case it helped to identify the problem.)

All my ports usb does not as well, I found this http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/usb-device-not-recognized/ and it seems to have fixed everything! Even the problem of noise!

Sorry to have wasted your time, thank you for the quick response, however.
  • Web site will not disappear after closing the tab AND restart Firefox.

I went to a website to watch a video, and when I had finished I closed the tab on what the site was. When I had finished on my computer, I closed Firefox. The reopening of Firefox later he restored the page. I don't know why it does this, and I can't make it disappear. I deleted all my cookies/cache, etc., as well as do a virus scan and nothing can tell me why this is happening. It's pretty boring, and I would that my browser to work properly. I've recently updated to the latest version of Firefox, so everything is up-to-date. I'll take any suggestions anyone can throw on me because I am fresh out of ideas.

  • x 64 Windows Vista Update Agent is terminated abnormally with an error 80070424 and reset of the agent is not successful.

I searched through of many post about problems with Windows Update Agent unusable for Vista 64 computer x which I maintain on a volunteer basis for a not-for-profit organization. I tried the following that I found in various articles in the knowledge base:

    1. Requests for assistance MS FixIt suggested performance. They have all failed when installing the PowerShell.

    2. replace officers update the page that provides the installation program. Installation always eventually fail.

    3. According to the remittance advice to Update Agent, found at https://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?gprid=6527&st=1&wfxredirect=1&sd=gn

Advice, to #3 was informative since some commands manual regsvr32 *.dll reported errors where the dynamic link library wouldn't "load" or the administration server could not find a certain "entry point". Does that mean that these dll is corrupt and must be replaced. If so, how he does it. It doesn't seem practical in more aggressive steps suggested to reset the agent given that the errors occurred using the less aggressive path.

The computer I'm servicing came with Vista delivered, and the original disks are not available. The Startup Repair utility reported no errors or corrections. In addition, sfc/scannow only reports an error indicating it cannot successfully completed his task. So, I don't know how I can successfully restore these dynamic link libraries.

I thank you for any advice you can give and forgive me if I don't have enough to search the knowledge base for an answer that already exists. Have a great day.

Once again thanks for your response. I spent more than 20 hours on this computer and I wonder if the upgrade with Win 7 (or 8 when available) will solve the problem.

I am a volunteer system to this nonprofit administrator, and my suggestions to secure computers are not always accepted. Thus, they probably will not disconnect the computer from the network. I suggested that personnel limit only accounts and that we establish a security policy for computers and a "standard" image However, each clerk vetoed my suggestion. I note only about one-tenth of a vote on all business issues. I have little to say in what is done. I do mostly what I said and I work what they deem is a technical miracle occasionally.

I will suggest they buy an upgrade if this should solve the problem, since I can't spend much more time on this issue. If this does not resolve the problem, they work with what they have, because they would not listen when I told them that they should not install all these products of third-party software "free." I told them that if it is not Oracle (formerly Sun), Microsoft or Adobe don't install it. Their products cover everything they need. We cross our fingers and hope that nobody issues a 'format c:' command remote computer impaired!

    Have a wonderful day.
