  • Failure of KB967912 Windows Vista updated 10 x today and the computer can't access internet

My new ACER Vista Office tried to install this update 10 x, today. It started while I was working this afternoon. Until that moment, I had a complete connectivity via a cable CAT5e LAN accessing a router and cable modem. Later, I lost the first internet and local network access. Before that, I had worked with Firefox, Windows Media, and financial software and everything was accessed successfully the ' net. Then, I tried to configure Microsoft Outlook 2007 to get my email. His inability to access my cable provider was the first idea I had that I didn't have connectivity.

Each time, I had the exclamation point on the stop switch and Vista stops with the view that he was installing "Update 1 of 1. However, whenever I rebooted the update didn't install.  Also, I had to restart my modem and router every time to regain access to the internet for short periods of time; in less than 4 to 7 minutes, all access to the internet is lost again. The error code was Code BC2 the last couple of times, but before that I also got error Code 80200053 when an Office update also failed to install. (I was able to install the Office update successfully, after another restart and cycle the modem to regain power connectivity).

Help! FYI, I had to find another computer even to post this question!

  • Installation: Windows Vista Service Pack 2... Now my computer will not boot

After you install SP2, my computer starts is no longer.

When I turn it on, it brings me to a black screen where I can choose to start windows normally or let windows search for a solution to the problem. I tried both - NOTHING WORKS.

I tried to restore my computer to an earlier date, let windows search for a solution, everything you can possibly do on the options list. Whenever I have let windows start normally, it brings me to a black screen that says "!" 0 x 0000034! "177/76190 (_0000000000000000.cdf - ms).

I am extremely frustrated. It seems that Microsoft has ruined my computer. Looks like I'm about to become a defender-apple... Unless this issue is resolved as soon as possible.

Have you tried the system restore, without success.

See if that will fix your problem:

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Above information shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

    ISO Burner: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.

  • Update Service Pack 2 is not installed, now my computer will not boot

Hello. I recently tried to install the service pack 2 update on my computer. It did not installed. My computer is slow, so I tried restarting. It came with the screen that shows the updates are being installed. I kept the computer until it stops. When I turned it back on it would go to this same screen but with a message saying that the service pack was not installed correctly and that the computer is reverting changes. It will turn on / off power permanently. In an attempt to fix it, I managed to get in the log on screen and put in my password, but the minute I hit enter my computer started and closed the loop on endless. Anyone know what I can do?

  • Windows 7 for Lenovo G50-70 - the computer will not boot from the CD

    Hello world

I hope that someone here will be able to help

I bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1. I want to install Windows 7 on that I know well because I can't use the new windows. I changed the settings in the BIOS to get the machine to boot from the CD, but it won't be fair. I also tried to restore the system to boot from the CD, but it installs just the Windows pre-installed, new instead. Also, I can't access the CD from the drive while all my other computers are capable of (what is strange)

    Can someone help, please?

    See you soon

    PS. : I can turn on the computer through the small "boot botton" on the side and select the DVD drive to boot from. But this is not followed by the message "Press any key to boot from CD" and the computer starts just W8 yet;

I contacted customer service and followed your advice. They refused to help him on the ground that there nothing wrong with the machine in their opinion, and since I wanted to change operating system. All preinstalled spyprogrammes Lenovo has been erased with this downgrade. So far, I've owned a laptop computer brand new and expensive for a year I used only to waste my time, trying to make it work, that was not why I bought it in the first place. What a RIP-OFF!

Clean HP Pavilion bought in 2003.  With the help of daughter for school work.  Computer running very slow.  A ran all the relevant boxes virus / malware scans, the old deleted files ' ran fix disk, disk cleanup and defrag, still running slow.  A ran the 'System Restore' edge (press F10 during boot).  It works through the restore program and sit as I just opened the box.  Through the implementation of procedures and click Finish and it is just there for up to 6 hours before I finally gave up.

Oh Dear Brian, I hope there is no data file on the computer, you will need in the future. The F10 key is the path to the system recovery that restores the computer to the factory settings. It comes to the computer when it was bought new in 2003. It erases all the data files and installed programs from the drive. In other words, you start again:

Windows Vista Home Basic preinstalled on my Compaq laptop will not accept code provided with the computer installation. HP can't help. Your say talking to HP and HP technicians say they are unable to help him. I'm now using valid XP. HP say that conflict with Vista. Can anyone help?

    original title: VISTA VS. XP

Your technicians say talk to HP

Sorry, this is not Microsoft.  This is a public forum from user to user hosted by Microsoft on its servers for the comfort of its clients, and we all here are volunteers.

You say you use XP.  What is your question?  What do you mean 'conflicts with Vista?

I suggest recovery discs you order from HP for your computer.  If HP is no longer the issue of stocks you can order such a third of Recovery - Disks.com.  There are several of these companies.  If you are going to use XP, you need to install XP from scratch and this means that you need XP drivers for your brand and model.  If HP has no XP drivers on your computer you must not try to use XP on it.

Remember that Vista Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium and Ultimate out of Microsoft support on 10 April and there will be more updates, including critical security patches after that date.  Only Vista business and company will continue to receive updates.  You might consider this a good time to upgrade to Windows 7.  You must download and run the Windows Update Advisor once you restored Vista successfully.

    Hello

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium.

    Acer Aspire M5640
    Intel Core 2 Duo E 7200
    RAM 3 GB DDRII
    500 GB Sata HARD drive

I went out to do some quick shopping and turned on my pc. When I got home, proceeded to check my email (gmail) that I had left open. Went to click on an email from a reliable source, so I don't think it's associated virus. Could not click on everything that was running, pc is frozen. I tried cntr + alt + delete to continue with a reboot, does not open. So I held the power button for just shut it down and restart. When the computer has been restarted, it goes through it's normal procedure, until it gets to a green screen of Windows Update. When the pc is turned off, there is absolutely no indication that an update is underway. Now the computer begins to restart, gets to the screen update hangs and stops at reboot, samething over and over. Talked to Staples, not covered by the warranty, problem of Microsoft. Called tech support with Acer, same thing and they wanted to charge me $129 / hr to fix over the phone. That's why I'll try and see if anyone here can help me before I go the road of Acer.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

You can not download a genuine copy of Vista on the Net.

If you can borrow a friends correct (no Acer, Dell), discs of recovery etc. Microsoft Vista DVD, you are 1/2 there.

All versions of Vista are found on a good microsoft Vista DVD.

This is the product key that installs the files for which version of a Vista DVD.

There are only 2 disk of Vista: a record of 32-bit and 64-bit disc.

And there is only the Service Pack 2 for Vista.

If this boot disk, that I informed you do not find your operating system, and if you can not do a repair of a Vista DVD installation, it's time to do a complete reinstall factory.

    See you soon.
