Windows Vista update KB 2492386, 8007020 error Code
Windows Vista update KB 2492386 attempted to install more than 75 times. The failure of this update to install disabled program Amazon Games & Software Downloader which I have been unable to repair or reinstall. Error code 80070020. I tried every fix I found on Microsoft, and I don't know what to do next.
Problems with the installation of the updates Windows can occur when Windows Update and another program both try to access the same file. Although many programs may cause this problem to occur, the most common are antivirus programs and perform backups in real time of the file system.
Try a clean boot, and then install the update.

Hello
"If you receive error 80072efd Windows Update for updates, the cause may be a high number of requests to update on servers Windows Update. Close Windows Update, wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then run Windows Update again. Alternatively, you can wait for Windows Update to run at the next scheduled time. »

Windows Vista won't load - black screen each laptop time starts
I have a Dell Insipron 1525, which does not load Windows Vista.
I can't go past the Recovery Manager screen every time you start, and although I tried all the options available, it does not open in safe mode or normally.
I tried the system restore (even if it says that it cannot find valid 'points'), as well as the repair of the system, and I have also run the Diagnostics, who said there is no error (although I could not see the final report). All paths lead ultimately to the black screen and although I can see and move the cursor, it is that I can get. Any ideas please?
Thank you very much!

Windows Vista won't load on my computer
My Windows Vista computer does not load upwards after I log in. As soon as I connect you I get an error message: "Windows Explorer has stopped working" followed by "Restart Windows" and then it never restarts. I soon begin to receive error message that State that the other programs that try to load do not have managed to do. I tried to reboot in safe mode, but I also have the same problems in safe mode. I try to run a restore msconfig.exe and system, but the error messages will be displayed until I can get the controls and prevents me from doing anything. The problem began Tuesday night 03/08/10 after I installed a router on my modem for wireless internet for laptop of my wife. The router is a D-link router. I think I might have to reinstall Windows vista, or at least try to fix it, but I was not apparently received a Windows Vista disk with my computer when I bought it from Best Buy. Very frustrating to be sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/
ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
See you soon.

web pages of Windows vista won't load using multiple browsers.
Windows Vista, 32-bit.
Card mother with an AMD processor - built Gigabyte in 2009.Computer has worked for a few years, however, now, he can not complete the loading of most web pages.
Using multiple browsers (IE, Firefox and Chrome), we see the same behavior - web pages do not just end.
Sometimes update gets more of a page - but for videos (youtube and other sites) - it is almost impossible to load a full clip of more than 2 minutes.Ping/tracert works very well.
If passing through the VPN + desktop remotely, things work very well (this confirms that he is not the access provider when you use remote desktop, we are no longer local + all device drivers which could be the problem).
Windows Update, seems to work very well.Download files from a web page, does not work.
The computer is currently connected via Ethernet (not wireless).
We have tried this on two different networks, so it is not associated with ISP.We tried to connect a USB network adapter - thinking it was hardware related, but that has not changed anything.
We have tried to start in safe mode with networking - and it still does not work (so probably not the program antivirus - mcafee).
I was able to get a live LInux OS running on the pc, and he had no problem loading the pages/videos, ect - what is not strictly material.
I tried using some of the Netsh command to reset tcp/ip stack - but they don't solve the problem.
I do not think that it will fix a Vista startup repair, but I advise him to try to do.
I'm looking for any other suggestions in addition to switch to Linux full time.
Thank you!
