    Hi Samurai14,

If the steps provided Mick did not help, it is possible that your Windows installation is damaged. The following link has instructions on how to reinstall Windows Vista:

If after a reinstall, you still have problems with Windows freeze, it is most likely hardware related and you should contact the manufacturer of your system for further assistance.

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing during and after the connection

So for the last two weeks, my computer (a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 laptop) has been having this problem.

Whenever I try to start Windows, the computer freezes. Most of the time, I'll be able to connect in the first place and the desktop and the taskbar appears normal, but I won't be able to open all programs. The mouse will have a circle "loading" beside him who won't go away, will not come to the top of the start menu and the taskbar will be completely insensitive. When I move the cursor to the taskbar, the arrow usually turns into a circle of "loading". By pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete in the meantime does nothing. The only thing I can do is turn off the computer by pressing the power button.

Sometimes I won't be able to connect at all. The desktop appears as a blank screen, either dark blue or black color. Sometimes the mouse cursor is sometimes visible and sensitive enough to be moved to the screen, sometimes that is not there or completely unresponsive. Whatever it is, there is absolutely nothing I can do when the computer is in this State.  Sometimes the Office does not at all, and I'll be stuck watching the blue 'Welcome' screen until I turn off the computer. Sometimes I can't even that, as the computer crashes as soon as I click on my user icon.

These problems occur when I connect the guest too account. Sometimes they occur when I try to start the computer in Mode safe, but sometimes (usually after many frustrating attempts), I will be able to log in Mode safe mode normally. (Right now I'm in Mode safe mode with networking.) When I try to log on to the guest mode safe account, it always freezes before connect you or displays a message saying that there is "a mistake with the sense of service" or something like that.

While in Safe Mode, I tried entering the system setup and turning off some startup programs. Who gets usually the computer working again for a little while, but after a few days problems reactivating. I also tried to do a restore of the system three times, but every time the restore has failed to occur due to errors (do not remember exactly what). The computer began working again after the attempt, but once more, the problems would be just begin again in a few days.

What causes this problem, and what can I do to solve it for good?

    Hello

It could be a particularly strong virus or malware. Safe mode, I would run my antivirus software on a deep, boot level scan. If you don't have an antivirus, I use and recommend Avast Free Edition: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html (only use the Direct download link).

Other than your antivirus and also run it from Safe Mode, the following malware scanners:

    Malwarebytes': http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html ;  and,

    SuperAntiSpyware: http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html .

Again, use the Direct download link only. Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing

My computer is having a bit of a moment, a long time, I guess I just install windows after trying about 3 or 4 times and everything is installed and was very well somehow, I had a big problem where all literally a few seconds my computer crashes and he'd jump up in the middle of my screen that windows explore has stopped working. Then, it looks like windows Explorer restarts and black flash so it would be nice again and it's a vicious circle, after a week of looking for the answer, I've read about the practice and sfc scannow scan that checks for corrupt additional files it would come back and say that it finds a damaged file but could not fix. I did not understand how it has been altered it was a brand new facility but anyway, I looked for a solution and has seen some talking about substituting a double no corrupted from another computer windows 7, I took the file from my other computer and finally managed to replace the file. I have re-run the sfc scannow and she came back, 100% fine which ceased from windows Explorer has stopped working error, but now my computer just seems to freeze again but without saying windows Explorer has stopped working then after a while to wait for me and by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete there are still no error come back for another few minutes and repeat the cycle. It's really preventing me from being able to use my computer, I ran ccleaner, avg and malwarebytes all 100% fine and clean I ran also drive spelling error found nothing memory diagnosis 100% fine I have no idea what it could be there are only two things I can think to mention 1. I have 2 windows updates I can't do they fail each time for Microsoft office 2007 update for the suites and one for the office, they just keep saying error try again and never work. 2. I have a hybrid hard drive ssd and hd sshd I don't know if my trying to load windows 7 on it 6 or 7 times has nothing to do with him or not, it's brand new and it's the second time I tried to install windows 7 on it. In any case it's really hinder me if anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it thanks

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set
SEE drivers to hide Microsoft - update those without drain in their names. (Also
updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

    Conclusion
8 dumps were found and analysed. 3 third-party drivers have been identified to be the cause of breakdowns of the system on your computer. It is strongly recommended that you check the updates for these drivers on their corporate Web sites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates these drivers:

Igdkmd32.sys (Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver, Intel Corporation)
ATHR.sys (Atheros Extensible, Atheros Communications, Inc. wireless device driver.)
dlkmd.sys (DisplayLink WDDM KMD, DisplayLink Corp.)

If no updates for these drivers is available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand name and model of your computer as well in the query. This often gives interesting results of the discussions of the users who have similar problems.

Read the GENERAL WARNINGS for the failures of the system troubleshooting section for more information.

Note that it is not always possible to say with certainty if a reported driver is responsible for her crash your system or that the cause is in another module. However, it is suggested that you look for updates for the products that these drivers belong to and regularly visit Windows Update or activate the automatic updates for Windows. In case a piece of defective material is originally wrong, a Google search on the errors of control of bug with the name of the model and brand of your computer can help you to deepen this review.

  • My Windows 7 keeps freezing after 5 to 20 minutes.

    Hello

I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 15R under Windows 7 Home Premium. The problem is that it freezes sometimes after about 5-20 minutes or more. I ran various tests with different anti-virus programs antivirus and always they detected nothing unexpected (Malware Bytes, Eset antivirus). I was wondering if someone could help me with this because today I had to reboot my computer more than 12 times. Also, when it is frozen I can't do anything at all except the press and hold the power button until the laptop turns off. It is a real pain so if I could get an answer as soon as POSSIBLE, that would be wonderful!

  • My Acer Aspire V - 123 Windows 8 keeps freezing and some keys on the keyboard are not working

I'm currently using a netbook ACER ASPIRE V - 123 with Windows 8 as its operating system and it is not yet updated to 8.1.

At first when my computer laptop while boots 'seems' to agree, and whenever I try to open a file without any content it took me about 30-45 seconds, opening a program would take me almost 45 seconds to a minute, and I think that something is not right with my laptop and when I try to open a website via my web browser and my laptop would just FREEZE and I can't do anything about it , but I hate to do HARD reset. And to add to this unfortunate scenario is that some of the keys on my keyboard are not working the letters like R, T, I, O and backspace and many others (which I don't remember exactly one by one).

I try to read some forums on different sites and some posts to the community of MS and did several tests like starting in SAFE MODE w / NETWORKING and downloaded the software like MALWAREBYTES to find potential infections, but nothing found. I also did the start-up in MINIMAL MODE, but again, the situation was the same, but when I'm the boot without failure the filling and freezing are only decrease and I don't want always starts in mode safe.

From now my laptop is booting in a start-up in MINIMAL MODE and I don't know what to do next, what to try next. I hope someone could lead me to the solution to this problem, I would be eternally GRATEFUL.

Please do help me in a step by step process and if possible please guide me with pictures or screenshots because I prefer to learn things when I Visual effects on what to do.

Thanks for patiently reading this post.

Sorry for the late reply, the laptop has been fixed, it seems to be a hardware problem. We disconnected the connection of the keyboard to the laptop right now I use an external keyboard to type. Cannot afford now to buy and replace my laptop keyboard, the graphics card Driver has been updated also and I've reformatted the OS

The gel did not appear more in the normal boot and if all goes well for work this way for good.

Thanks for the information you have shared to me, he has also been a great help.

    until next time Ben!

    Best regards

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing and becoming unresponsive

My windows was recently becomes insensitive to the point where I have to manually shut down the computer. The other day when this started, I was getting a bsod with the 000000007 code has. I ran everything I could find on the internet such as check disk files of controls systems, but still the system stops responding. I have no restore point on my laptop and am very bored. Windows explore even came as insensitive and closed. Help, please

Is not that you need to restore points (but why is there no restore point, have you erased them?), but your set of recovery discs, you made these?

The stop error message indicates driver / disk / memory or the combination problems

You don't mention brand/model of laptop, but were all utility included pre-installed test? -the time to read the documentation for the laptop or Laptop responsible of the help pages-

    Hello Kluggerjo,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how important it must be able to count on your devices work as expected, and I have a few steps that should help resolve the behaviors you see.

I would recommend to go by resetting your management system (SCM) controller. MSC helps control and regulate different material on your Mac, including Bluetooth systems.  This article will guide you in this process: reset the management system (SCM) controller on your Mac.

If you still experience the issue after the test, you can test the behavior to a test user. This will help us to determine if the problem is systemic or isolated to your user account. This article will guide you in this process: How to test a question in another account on your Mac user

If the behavior is duplicated to the test user, I'd recommend reinstalling El Capitan. This will not delete your data. To reinstall using the recovery mode, take a look at this article: How to reinstall OS X

When you use the trackpad, that the cursor suddenly crashes to the screen. I have to take my finger on the pad and put it back on until the cursor starts to move. It does not seem be any model especially when it happens, but it's very common, two or three times per minute.

Windows reports the driver under the version 16.2.10.15 of the 16.08.2012; the Toshiba poster site that this driver as being updated on 28/11/12.

    All advice appreciated.

I suppose that this isn't a problem of the touchpad driver.
I think that the problem is related to the touchpad settings.

Here's a nice documentation how to change touchpad settings in Win 8 system:
