Since I installed the updated definition for windows defender-KB915597(Definition 1.21.1279.0) 03/03/09, I was not able to install the new updates. I don't know why, but none of the updates I have been install, or at least try, are installation and saying "Success" next to them. I've used different methods to dispose of everything, if I have any, virus and still have not seen any progress. And unfortunately, I deleted all my restore points to keep the memory on my laptop. I have too many errors, report them all, but some of the things I did to check to ensure that I have no viruses do analyses of the complete system and remove a mysterious software they gave me an alert by (using McAfee Security). Any help will be considered. Help, please! :(

Setup does not work. whenever I power off, the computer attempts to install the updates, but nothing ever happens. one night, I let it run all night and still says 1 installation of 18. What is happening and how to fix it?

    Hello

I suggest you follow these methods and see if it helps:

    Method 1:

Try to install the update to the clean boot and check if it helps.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-us

Note: Don't forget to start your machine in normal mode by following step 7 of the link.

    Method 2:

You can try temporarily turning on all security software and then try the updates again.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

    Important note:
Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 3:

I suggest you to reset the Windows Update components and check.

    Found promblems

Windows Update error 0x8024402c(2016-06-23-T-12_02_41P) not fixed

Other issues that have been resolved.

I ran the Diognostic again to retrieve detailed information, but he came to the top has set. update still does not.

I actually had a problem with a crash suddenly and blackout of screen and other unusual tracks on this desk, until the February MS cannot install updates. what I've done, I've tried the [FSC.exe] System File Checker, see him through YouTube "how to use FSC,"... Solved problems of 100%, but it depends on the number of files that can not be repaired, my results are minor just repair corrupt files... Try it...

If Windows Update error 80072ee2 during updates, you may need to add the addresses of websites which Windows Update downloads updates to the exceptions to your firewall or 'green list '.

To add the Windows Update Web sites to a firewall exceptions list

    • Windows Firewall ships with this version of Windows and should already include these sites in the exceptions list. If you are using another firewall, see Help for the software publisher to see how to add these websites to your firewall exceptions list:

    Hey RetREMF

We cannot say what update is the cause of the problem

one thing that you should never get 3rd party drivers from windows update hardware

Find them directly in the hardware manufacturer's Web site

I suggest that change you how to receive updates to try to find the exact problem, we by installing one at a time

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial140.html

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need or who have limited access to Internet
